we have unusual cold weather this winter, 29-30 F at night, but all day is warmer, I put flowers outside until evening...we' all plant roses and grapes on late February, ...I have a huge place for the embodiment of my imagination
...change name in SSN. ...that's why we'll ask about my SSN after marriage,  we did not worry about my SSN also because  I do not need to work... I'll have my new name Tatiana Lynne  Starcher..our wedding day is coming..tomorrow I go for a shopping for wedding dress and shoes , with my friend Leighanne)....my Darrel and I , we have been waiting so long to have Christmas together.............now we starting to put presents for each other, under the Christmas tree) ) ) I feel like I'm child again

Well newest wrinkle. We went to do the name change on her existing SSN and of course they said 4-5 weeks to process with Homeland Security since of course she doesn't have her name in the system that way. Hopefully that goes smoothly. Will talk with the lawyer about order of operations now for the AOS and other paperwork. Wedding was on the 8th and we got back from the mini-honeymoon yesterday. Hopefully everything is going smoothly for everyone else.

I think that would be a very useful general tip to include in the guides, just to make things easier and safer, since it seems you have to have a million eyes in this bunch of processes so things don't go stray.
My first card never showed on Informed Delivery, so no clue what happened there... though still bothers me the fact they didn't mail that first one until I called to ask what's going on 3 weeks after applying...
 
Luckily it seems most people are getting their SSN cards in the mail no problem, so I guess it's mostly a matter of luck... But sometimes you have to help luck a bit for it to come your way 

It's funny that you mentioned going to the post office to tell the you lived there.  We applied for a SSN at the beginning of last week and informed delivery showed it coming on Friday.  We never got it... Back to SS Office we went and she said we have to wait two weeks before we can request a new one (red tape I tell ya) but she mentioned that we should make sure to write his last name inside the mailbox because often times they won't deliver federal mail if they don't recognize the name.  Makes total sense and put our minds at ease as we were worried it was stolen.    

@Mike & Tuyen, @Estibaliz and @_Mia_, I appreciate all your thoughts.  The good news is that CEAC changed to Application Received.  Hopefully it will change to Ready and then to Issued by Friday, but still have to wait for it to be delivered, so not much of a chance for her to come this weekend, but should be able to next week/weekend.

We got approved today this morning at the US Embassy London, it's been a long road but I am extremely humbled privileged for this opportunity.
Onwards to stalking CEAC for the next week or so until it's issued.
 
Glad to see so many of you already enjoying your next chapter in life, and to those still working through the system, the beacon of light is shining not far away.

Thank you all for the congrats on getting my SSN  @rachied26, I knew it was coming because it showed on the Informed Delivery email.
We had gone to the post office on Saturday to make sure they knew I'm a legitimate tenant on that address too, so that might have helped... though we are moving on January 6th to a new place 
So the SSN came in time for that, but I'm stuck again regarding my savings, because USAA doesn't allow me to have my own account until after the marriage (and not 100% sure they will then anyway...). Duh...

I know @S*UK was told she had to wait 10 days or something of the like until they could get her an SSN. But if it’s been a week for you already it might be worth a try, probably 10 days was including margin.

Keeping you and Monica in my prayers that you don’t have to spend another holiday waiting to be together. I know it’s possible to get through it quickly because mine was really quick. I know PI is different but hopefully they’ll finally find the right gear.
 
 We did have one little hitch in Sheki’s consulate interview... the interviewing officer’s Albanian assistant decided he would do some more investigation after the officer approved her visa. By investigation I mean inappropriately calling her at all hours of the day. He even tried calling her after she had her visa in hand. She wouldn’t call and complain to the consulate because she was afraid of retaliation and she only had several days before she was leaving.

I don't know where to begin this.  I am so beyond frustrated at the moment.  The Police Clearances are at the USEM and they finally acknowledge that they have them, but they won't put any kind of rush on it or allow her to pick up the Visa there at the Embassy, So I am going to have to move her flight again from this weekend to some day in the future that we have no idea when that will be.  They had the PC from Hong Kong in there office from 11/22 (When it was picked up at the Post Office) until I told them that they had it on 12/4.  This is ridiculous they can not put it through quicker than this.  Everything seems to take so much longer than it should need to take.  I just want my love to be here with me.  If the PC were all they needed, why have they not issued the Visa already now.  I need to scream at someone.
