My wife and I submitted our I751 in December 2016 (12/5/2016 receipt date).  She did biometrics in January 2017.  Got the passport stamp in January 2018.  We applied to WAC but have since had to relocate from UT to OH for business (filed change of address in July 2017).  Our most recent action is that on Feb 26, 2018, the case was received by our local office...not sure what that means...it doesn't say which office that is (we got the passport stamp in Cleveland).  We also did not receive any notification in the mail and had to report that we did not receive the notice.

We're both very frustrated by the lengthy process but reading through this forum it looks like the long wait is normal.

Totally “normal”. Everyone got Feb 26 local office “update” which is a glitch. You file still waiting your turn at CSC. they going through November now.

I just got approved 10 days ago, I have not gotten any letters as the updates just came yesterday and today, I got my approval notice on the 30th of April. The updates say it will take 30 days for them to mail out the notices, but by the time I get my notices, I will probably have gotten my green card.

So I would recommend to log out of VJ and go for a walk, have a glass of wine with a friend or movies, or whatever what would take your mind out of it and enjoy your approval instead of worrying! Just check your mail daily :) I bet your GC will show up soon

I already got my approval notice and I am still getting updates, I guess the the case will be no longer active until the green card is mailed. All these updates really don't mean much I guess because many of 751 applicants seem to be getting the same update, i confirmed it with a few friends through out the county too.

It does not mean much unless you getting A PHYSICAL letter in the mail confirming it. Have you got a transfer letter? ( not status?) Have you recived your Green card?

They actually do, I talked to 3 USCIS officers who told me they are most likely updates and glitches. My 751 was already approved, and I have a hard copy of the approval. Now the office in Missouri has my jurisdiction. USCIS told me to disregard it since I was approved.

I also spoke to a few officers who tried to convince me I waived application fees ( which I did not), or that my case is transferred to local office ( and it’s definitely not, confirmed through infopass) or that all 751 require in person interviews ....... but all of them had a solid opinion that you can only take for a FACT a physical letter in the mail whatever it is: transfer, interview notice, rfe

Got another update even though I was approved. Any of you got this update saying your case has been transferred to a NEW office(Lee Summit, Missouri)that has the jurisdiction over my case..

Most likely a system update. Please share.

    Your Case Status: Initial Review

On May 8, 2018, we transferred your Form I751, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS ON RESIDENCE, Receipt Number WAC×××××××62, to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by June 7, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

During this step, USCIS initiates the background checks of the applicant/petitioner and identifies issues that may need to be addressed either during an interview or by asking the applicant/petitioner to submit additional information or documentation. USCIS reviews the applicant's/petitioner's criminal history, determines if there are national security concerns that need to be addressed, and reviews the application/petition for fraud indicators. If you have filed an I-485, I-589, I-751, N-400, I-90, I-821, I-131 or I-765, you can expect to receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints and/or photographs taken. The timing of your appointment is determined by the number of applicants ahead of you that also need a biometric appointment. We try to schedule biometric appointments as quickly as possible and in most cases you will receive your appointment notice within 30 days of submitting your application. We will send your appointment notice approximately 14 days ahead of your scheduled appointment. It is important that you keep this appointment. If absolutely necessary, you can request that your appointment be rescheduled however, please be aware that rescheduling may delay the processing of your application. Please follow the instructions on your appointment notice if you need to reschedule. Occasionally, you may receive an appointment notice to appear at an Application Support Center to have your fingerprints taken when you have filed a form other than those listed above. In these situations, you may receive your appointment notice more than 30 days after submitting your application or petition.

It’s not a system update. Tons of fillers reported receiving a letters through the mail conforming it. They don’t send actual letters for system updates and glitches.

Just talked to a tier 2. Not much help, they put in the same lame request I did two months ago basically trying to get rid of me. Gotta call another tomorrow. They said the same thing 2 months ago when I talked to them, that name changes are usually followed by some movement.

I think you can also put a service request online and contact senator, that would take some time too. Better that just plain waiting

Definitely looks to be a mix, just a shame we're in the camp that's seen no movement....

I noticed there is no movement for people who did not filled n 400 (I only saw rare exceptions here) Which means our file still at CSC. Based on timeline, December 2016 suppose to see a movement at the end of May - June if everything moves the way it is. CSC half way through November 2016. I think you should definitely not getting upset because you don’t see a transfer rather than just patiently waiting our time at CSC just like it was supposed to be before all these transfers to Nebraska

Hi all fellow November filers first time posting on this thread but I've been following it for a few months now. My NOA is nov15 and this morning I received a text/email saying that they updated my name and date of birth not quite sure what to think of that if anyone is going through the same situation some feedback would be greatly appreciated🤔

Congratulations! Next thing you’ll hear shortly would be approval (based on other reports here where dob “got updated”)

I have the same situation. Have to travel abroad next month while now waiting for my GC to arrive. Seeing other members experiences that still not getting their card, I’m so much nervous that I won’t receive my card on time too. I have I-551 stamp expired Jan 2019, but I think it’ll be invalid once our ROC is approved and new card is produced. Hope to hear any definitive answer/experiences from other members with the same situation. I’ll be screwed if I had to postpone my trip :(

TONS of people coming back from travels just to find approval notice in the mail, ROC approval DOES NOT void i551 stamp. Get a stamp due to not receiving card yet and enjoy your travel.

Hey, sorry I got you worried. It wasn't my intention. I think the USCIS agent  was just being a jerk. But on traveling with I-551 stamp might be a little risky. On the approval notice letter they advised not to travel before getting the card.

    This is super wrong.

Traveling on valid 551 is totally fine. Case is still processed before you getting your card. Not sure why would you say “risky” to make a person worry if there is no basis for such comment other than personal guess

Sadly, nothing posted or emailed or texted or anything for me.  Nothing since the March glitch...although I am not sure a transfer to my local office would be any better...Orlando has a backlog too...Field Office timeline for I-751 is 21.5 to 46.5 months...but maybe "another office" doesn't mean "Field Office"?  Hard to tell with the new USCIS website layout

No update for me either, still saying transferred back in March (Glitch)

Ok everybody i think i may have good news to those who are having case transfer and new office have jurisdiction over your case, i could be so wrong but it actually makes so much sense to me. Tier 2 officer just told me that the reason why we see so many transfers, one day may 1st,another may 3rd, one minute transfer to NBC and another minute to california is because all that means is that our cases being worked on by different departments, each department working on an aspect of the case they update the system and it ends up showing on our end case transfered and so on. It makes sense to me because those who had this transfer are mostly applicants due for a decision(old cases). And few exceptions like me because i had an interview long time ago. I hope he's right. So i think approvals for us are coming very soon, he didn't mention that part

I got totally different info by tier 2 yesterday. Posted it 1-2 pages back.

I bet 3rd officer would say something else as well.

Different departments working on each and every case? Makes NO Sence.

Hello, i had case transfer on may first like many people did, today another transfer on may 3rd, same exact previous transfer. But now the automated system voice message is that the case has been transfered to NBC Missouri. My question is, does any one have an idea why would my case be transfered to NBC Missouri over a month and a half after the interview. No pending N400. Just i 751

You filled in December 2016 and had I 751 interview over 1,5 months ago?

After waititng a longggggggggg time, i just recived a RFE, my NOA is nov 10!!

Is your letter came straight from CSC

    2 hours ago, JJ2018 said:

Correct - CSC handled my case and no it was not transferred to another office. I did get the "glitch" notification in Feb, but it think it was concluded that no cases were actually sent anywhere.

Hi, sorry if I missed a message with your NOA date? I see cases transferred in bulk to other cervice centers ( real transfers) while mine seems like to be still at CSC. Congratulations on approval!

  15. 5 minutes ago, LiliDeyan said:

99% of the people who got the update of case transferred were not transferred at all. It was some glitch at the system when they activated the original WAC numbers. I got to updates about my case being transferred but when I went to get my second stamp the agent told me that my case is still in CSC and its been there since day one. He said that a lot of people ask him that and he doesn’t know why people got this update. I filled for inquiry and 10 dats later I got approved. Don’t listen to Tier 1 agents. They will tell you general info which is not really relevant. If you go back in the forum and track the other people timeline it will be more helpful to you then Tier 1 agent or a lawer. Just saying 😄 And the most accurate place to check your status is the dhs website

I had same exactly experience with those “transfers” back in February and March. I also got info pass and service request both confirming the case is at CSC and haven’t gone nowhere. But today’s conversation with Tier 2 totally swiped me out of my feet for a minute, “new policy” and “new requirement to send all cases from cervice center to local offices to get reviewed” sounded like a couple of more extra years of waiting sentence ...

I saw you got approved recently, have your status ever changed from the glitchy transfers prior approval?

  16. 4 minutes ago, fred123 said:

Yeah i was wondering because a lot of people on here seem to get rfe and then approved but my lawyer thinks that most people require an interview. Do you know how long you have to wait to be scheduled one? Im wondering if there has been a sudden change in policy.

That’s what I’ve been told today by tier 2 about new policy. She said all cases now are getting transferred to local offices but interview is on case to case basis. I don’t know what to believe at this point

Thanks, I'm really nervous about this cause we never know how interviews will go, in what kind of mood they will be and how willing to listen, but yeah it's been a long and stressful ride so far. Do you know if people post anywhere here about i751 waiver interviews? I'm curious to see how it was for other people that went thru the same situation.

I think it’s depends on the officer, the documents submitted, the whole history of relationships and marriage, Im not so familiar with waiver cases, but I’m pretty sure if you have everything together and your marriage was legit you will get approved.

I was under impression that you December filler, but since you filled in August 2016 id take this interview notice is a pretty amazing news! If you stressing too much about it then lawyer presence might help, even though it’s you who’s going to be replying on the questions and submitting evidences anyways. Whatever makes you feel comfortable. Let us know how it turn out for you and good luck!!!!
