    • Global Entry wouldn't work for me - when I used my passport, the kiosk told me I should use my permanent residence card. When I used my card, it told me it's expired. Prior to the trip, I update the expiration date (on the Global Entry / TTPS website) with the extended date.

I had this exact same issue. I used my passport at the kiosk instead and that worked.

Yes.  See pinned thread on the topic --

I saw the thread. I have travelled internationally multiple times, no issues whatsoever. I did not go to the Philippines though. And obviously no one can guarantee what your wife's experience will be. I am only sharing with you what I know and what my experience has been.

Wife just passed her citizenship test today in Norfolk, oath ceremony scheduled for next week.  We were not called in for the combo interview, I had to wait outside. Finally over.  We filed N400 in April 2021, and the 751 in May 2020.

    Good luck all.

Did you get any update on the ROC? Was it approved right after the interview?

  4. Is her extension letter still valid? If yes, then she can travel with the expired green card + the extension letter with no issues. I have done it myself multiple times, entering through JFK each time. Maybe others who have experiences with other US and non-US airports can chime in. I did not have any issues at airports outside of the US.

PS. I also have Global Entry. When I entered through JFK, I used the Global Entry kiosks. CBP only asked to see the Global Entry printout, did not even ask for my passport, green card or letter. Review here in case you are interested.

Exactly..... All cases are different, like the late, great Geowrian once said "USCIS is like a large grocery store with several checkout lanes.  Some lanes are just faster than others".

Sorry to go off topic, but what do you mean by "late"??? It reads to me like he passed away...I must have missed it...and don't want to assume.

Great news. We are with a couple days of your timeline for ROC and N400 and just got notice for the N400 interview late January. Finally movement.

I wonder how it will proceed with a still pending ROC. We will prepare for a combo interview, and hope that it doesn't take too long to approve the 751 and hopefully be able to do the oath soon after the interview.

    Yes, and same here!

We have not received the 24 mo extension letter either. Called CIS last week and they told me that they would NOT be automatically sending the extension letter, and we had to call back within 60 days of the 18 month extension expiration. This is a change (to me, at least) from 30 days. I confirmed the 60 days with the rep. Will be calling to scheduled stamp appointment in the next week. Wife's extension letter expires Jan 2.

On another note, regarding N-400 (filed in April, 2021) the rep told me that they have "asked for an appointment and are waiting on availability" not sure what this means, if anything....still waiting.

thanks for sharing...what number did you call / options did you press to talk to a person? i need to call them up soon, my extension letter's 60 days window is coming up soon.

Hey all some advice please. My husband is currently waiting to hear about his N400 (4 mths since we applied) and his I-751 (1year and 4mths since we applied), his green card expired a year ago and his NOA stating he has 18mths extra will expire in December. He is needing to fly home to Macedonia to pick up his mom so she can visit, but we are concerned there will be issues. Anyone flown under these circumstances?

We are going to call on Friday and see the progress and also ask to speak to a level 2 office (I think thats what everyone recommends).

    Thanks so much

    Kathy and Dane

I have, twice. Latest one was this weekend 8/21/21. No problems at all (provided of course that the extension hasn't expired).

  9. hello everyone! just filed today at around 6sh pm EDT. I got an email confirming my credit card payment immediately after I hit submit. Did not get any emails or text to confirm receipt (i assumed they would send them but i guess not?). I just checked my myuscis account (10sh pm EST) and in there i found two pdfs (NOA + biometrics re-use). I'm assuming the hard copies are on the way to me. So, I guess, welcome to the N400 waiting game for me!
