Yeah we tried again just 30 minutes ago and they are still having problems with their computer systems.
So I was able to get through. Their system is working fine now. They sent our case to the jurisdiction that has our case because we haven't gotten a response yet..

We called USCIS twice today and both times they said their system is down and to call back again later.
Did you try again? Wondering if they fixed it

Hey all. So I contacted USCIS about our receipt number and he found it weird that it's been more than 15 days and we haven't heard anything as far as the receipt number goes. He told me to email the lock box and I got the below automatic reply. So weird, right? Anyways they are having system issues where cases aren't being populated. He said to call back later today to check.
Thank you for contacting Lockbox Support.
If your inquiry is not related to a form received at the lockbox, is not a general question related to the lockbox or has been forwarded to a USCIS Center for further processing, you will not receive a response beyond this reply.
Inquiries related to a form received at the lockbox or general questions related to the lockbox, should receive a response within 30 business days, with the following exception:
An inquiry related to a receipt notice for Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence or I-829, Petition by Investor to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status will not be addressed, as those notices are not printed by the lockbox.
For additional information and guidance, visit our USCIS website. Our website provides current forms, filing instructions and fee guidance at no charge.
For inquiries unrelated to lockbox processing, please refer to the guidance on the USCIS Contact Center and USCIS Tools web pages to request assistance.

Q for those who called USCIS: how do you get to a real person? I called 1-800-375-5283 but the system keeps pushing me from one recorded message to another. I’m attempting to ask about my K2 daughter’s extension letter which hasn’t arrived, “verification of inclusion of a dependent in filing form I-751”, and cannot even get a rep on the phone. So frustrating 😟. TIA.
I got to a real person by saying "no receipt" then saying service center.

I don't think that's a big deal, they will put pieces together and pull up your information in the system and they probably would have reject it if it were a big deal which means you wouldn't even receive the notice that they received your package. I wish you good luck
Thank you for your feedback! I also think it shouldn't be a big deal since the information is there.

Hey all! Glad to see familiar faces here from the K1 visa process.
We received notice that our packet was received on 10/20, BUT I think I messed up. For some dumb reason I left the Alien box blank. They do have the copy of our green card so they can't say they don't know his A number. What do you think they may do? It's bother me especially because we haven't received the NOA yet.

They won’t stamp your passport if you have no plans to travel right? Proof would be the approval letter they give you after the interview.
You can get that stamp after your interview while you are waiting for your green card whether you have plans to travel or not. It is only there in case you have to travel while your GC is being produced. Aka proof of approval

Stamp is only for people who have plans to travel.
Yeah, showing that your Green Card was approved and is pending I believe. If you have that stamp it is proof that you were approved, that is why you can travel with it.

mine hasnt but ive read that sometimes it doesnt get updated.so idk idont want to stress it even if they told me it was approved and she stamped my passport.
You should be fine, don't stress! The fact that you got a stamp is enough proof. We didn't get stamped.

hey my lawyer told me to take all originals of everything they ask for on the letter. And if they needed a copy they can do that. Yet on the paper they ask what to take it says take copies and originals. And it asks for translation of my birth certificate. And he said take the original since they should already have the translated one he sent out back then when i started my case. Can you guys help me out since i dont want to get denied or scheduled another day. Thank you
I had all originals, and she made copies herself. She also didn’t want me to give her anything I already turned in the first time.

I will wear suit and a tie. People do wear jeans.
I honestly think it doesn’t make an impact. My husband wore jeans.

It will come in a few days, don't worry. Last Monday and Tuesday the government offices were closed for holidays so we should expect that.
Thanks! My status just changed to "Picked up by USPS"

Does anyone know (from reading or from personal experience) how long it takes to receive the green card in the mail after interview and approval? I wonder if the shutdown will affect this.
On 12/21/2018 at 11:58 PM, Visitor User said:It looks like all these interview letters are standardized meaning they ask for the same documents to bring in?
Yep. It also really seemed like they didn't want to see anything they already had, only new supplemental documents.

We haven’t received any request for anything additional at this point. The field officer told us she thought we had “more than enough” evidence. I guess there’s nothing to do but wait and see...
Did you guys receive your Green Card in the mail yet? What does your status say?

Thank you! We created 1 binder with tabs that matched the line items listed in our interview NOA letter. Line items that pertained to us, of course.

What do they do IDs? Do they put in the system/make photocopies?
They made copies of all our ID's, including passports. Also made copies of my citizenship certification and joint account documents.

Insurance doesn’t cover medical exam. It only covers vaccines.
I don’t know about TB blood test coverage on insurance.
My insurance paid for a good portion of everything I did with my PCP. My medical would have been included too if I didn't have it already done that year (regular yearly checkup). We have Cigna family plan.
5 minutes ago, Visitor User said:You mean the non immigration TB blood test can be used on I-693?
Not sure what a . non-immigration TB blood test is, but the civil surgeon accepted our TB results form my PCP. Make sure your PCP knows it will be sent to civil surgeon. A civil surgeon will not accept TB skin test only TB blood test.

Had our interview today. The officer asked us to provide our IDs and provide joint accounts. She asked very general questions to make sure he had no bad intentions. She also did NOT ask for the new medical.
Approved on the spot
