PR&PR got a reaction from Tella&T in I-751 September 2020 Filers
Well I woke up very confused this morning. I had not been on here for a minute. My case was transferred like many others on January 20th. Then my fingerprints reused on February 11th and today I got the notification that my new card was being produced. I did not even know they were approving people without interviews 😦

No they're not changing it, I got divorced so I can no longer apply under the 3 year rule and have to wait the additional 2 years.

MSC is NBC, if you were routed there from the beginning it means that most likely you will be interviewed. Normally those who haven’t had an interview for AOS with USCiS will have one for removal of conditions, and that is the reason for the delay. There are many people in line ahead of you waiting to get an appointment. It also depends on how busy your local office is. Good luck!

Thank you very much! I’ll be patient some more then
i have to say that I’m glad to hear that it’s normal and no mail seems to be lost 🙈

No that is it. I only received another letter very recently when they transferred me on 1.20.21. And the other notifications, no physical letters yet. I guess if I had been on the forum I would have been worried about not receiving biometrics updates. But it does not seem too weird that you have not. Good luck! Hopefully you end up being transferred to NBC and get approved!

Woot Woot! Got the text that my case was received with my case #. Check was cashed yesterday. Package was received 9.29.20 at the facility per USPS. I updated the spreadsheet. Quick question, what is the date filed? Is that when we receive the I-797, or when we send it? Appears CA center will be dealing with me.

Yes the number you mentioned was the number I called, I was on hold for around 50 minutes and then I spoke with an agent.
He was able to tell me that it could potentially take up to 2 weeks, and it wasn’t in the system just yet, that’s why my card hasn’t been charged. He advised me to wait until next week and then if I haven’t heard anything, they can start looking at where the package is etc.
He said I shouldn’t worry just yet though, as they receive more than 1,000 packages a day. I guess it could take some people longer than others, especially considering this forum is a tiny sample of the ROC’s they’re receiving.
fingers crossed for all of us though!

I called them this past night and stated mine was received on the 29th. All they could tell me was that the i-797 should get to me within 15 business days and that my husband's card will be charged soon...
I too am worried at this point

Good morning y’all, we sent our package on September 14th (I was all mixed up with dates because my lovely husband mailed it) by USPS and USCIS Arizona Lockbox received it on September 16th. I did not hear anything from them until yesterday afternoon, I got this text message “USCIS: Your case was received. Receipt # MSC********. Official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) to follow in mail. Msg & Data rates may apply. DO NOT REPLY....My husband is the immigrant and I’m the citizen doing all paperwork for him lol...
I don’t know why it took them so long, even to cash my check, which was cashed yesterday as well. I hope that the notice is not a RFE🥺🥺🥺 we will see when I get the notice, Hopefully we will get it soon since we had a change of address which I know it will delay any mail sent from them😏😏
I hope for all of you to have a speedy and smooth journey in removing conditions on your GC.

I submitted my application on 11th, it was received 14th, but I still havent received a receipt number or I-797. I called up USCIS and gave the A number and they said no I-751 is in their system. They said it should take 15 days max from the day they receive to generate a receipt number. I submitted a fee waiver, but they said that shouldnt delay things. I am worried if its lost at Lock box. My USPS tracking shows it was delivered to lock box on 14th.
Anyone in similar situation ? Any advises ?

Question - Does anyone know if it is really "safe" travelling abroad using the I-797 + expired green card? I really don't like the idea of traveling with expired documents, but I need to see my family back home. Any advice?

90 days before your 3rd green card anniversary, like a year from now

I read as long as it is postmarked BEFORE the second you'll be ok
This final rule is effective Oct. 2, 2020. Any application, petition, or request postmarked on or after this date must include payment of the new, correct fees established by this final rule.

PR&PR reacted to geowrian in How many are filing N-400s before the I-751 has been approved?
Citizenship requires the I-751 being approved first or at the same time, so no skipping any fees.

Happens everyday. I applied for N-400 with a pending I-751 too, and I wonder why people wait. There are multiple threads on this, like the one below. There is no difference in the documentation compared to if you waited for the 10-year visa.

Hey guys!
Look what I woke up to!
I got a text message from USCIS and when I checked it was that my card is being produced!
The new website still does not reflect that though.
