My children had international certificates, and I just had some old document called санитарная книжка because all other medical records were lost, and they accepted it anyway.
As for the interview, your fiancee will have to wait for a call from the embassy, and then choose the time and date at traveldocs website after paying for submitting two DS-160s.

Just a quick update. POE on 11/12 (hard to believe it's just two days ago!) Everything related to the POE part went very quickly, hardly even an interview.
 
However... CBP in their infinite wisdom decided that guinea pigs were in fact actual swine-type pigs , and declined their entry into the US after they had cleared security.
 
So now we're working on pet shipping options. As you might imagine, she was crushed being separated from her pets, but we'd planned for this contingency and a "good guy" CBP officer took it upon himself to make sure they were returned to our designated helper on the Canadian side.
 
Aside from the pet issue, we're happy as can be to finally be together, and hope the rest of you waiting will be in our position soon. Still have some paperwork to wrap up on the US side, but we expect to be married in early December.

We got our SSN in the mail on Thursday.  Noyce!  
Family flew in on Friday.  I worked a shift on Friday also, so after work, and some laundry, then to bed for 3 hrs just to get up early to run to the beach and decorate and hang electronics in palm trees for video to be seen by our family in the PH, rush home to get the bride, then back to the beach just as the eastern sky over the beach was showing first light.  Morning sunrise wedding was really a lot of fun!  The wind was so strong, destroyed my hair but Ann stayed gorgeous!  Beach goers stopping to take pictures and wish us well during the ceremony...... taking pictures and giving thumbs up LOL   It was so formally informal at the same time.  Ceremony was about an hour long as we wrote our own vows that took extra time, but the fact of the matter is on 11/11 at 0723EST, we said 'I DO!'

Anyway, just a quick update, got 3 hours to kill waiting for my connecting flight in Atlanta,  just made POE.
Very easy, first officer was really kind, made a few jokes about he had to fit all his belongings into a few suitcases when he moved down to Atlanta, took my fingerprints and photo. Walked me over to the second officer, which processed me for like 5 mins and just reminded me that I can't leave the US until I have my GC or AP.
 
That was it, quick and painless, no issues.
 
Now for all the other things to come ... wedding is the 5th of Jan 2018, then vacation until I get my EAD

After waiting for just over 4.5 hours in the SSA office my number was called. The lady I talked to said I have the patience of a saint. So I left this morning at 9am got there at 10:30 and left there at 3:35 and just got home at 4:45. Yes I will get my SSN in a week to ten days.  My sweet fiance said "Babe no need to cook tonight let's go out to celebrate you getting SSN". How could I say no to that. HAHA Just gotta do the dishes and wait for him to be home in an hour and a half. Good thing too I am starving. I didn't get lunch because I was at the SSA office waiting. lol

I am jealous of your nice food too  Here I haven't found good meat yet but today we are going to a real butcher's shop. 

Oh yeah, the cooking is challenging, mostly because of the measurements being unused. I feel like I'm taking forever for everything!
Also I'm still identifying food and other stuff... once I found out what what is it'll be better haha.

But I've switched to regular dinner cooking, so Scott gets his Lunchbox for work every day. Good housewife haha 

@KozmicBlues: Feel a big hug! It's a really shootty situation you're in and I can totally understand you being depressed. I won't say hang in there, because that's not appropriate anymore after such a long time. Try to stay strong, you're running through a test as a couple, and once this awfulness is over you'll have the ever after thing coming up and won't have to go through that again. Best wishes for your fiancé to get better!
