PrincyE got a reaction from AbenaKofi in APPROVED from Ghana
Approved from Ghana! We thank God ! All last night I was very nervous leading up until my fiancé interview because so many people would say Ghana is a high fraud embassy so many K1's don't get approved and that you have to front load your petition this and that which may be true , but we made it. I can honestly say I sent about 15 pictures maybe 10 chats a plane ticket stamp and that was it. My fiance was in this with me 150% he did his part so well. I never felt like i was doing all of this by myself even though we are 9000k miles apart. My fiance was only asked 3 questions and he was interviewed my a young African american man. Guys it doesn't feel real yet. It doesn't. We have had so much support during this whole process from both of our families our church, friends and this group has been beyond helpful. My fiance was so confident and went into this with such a positive attitude which helped a lot. I feel so emotional writing this because I would always pray and say God if you are for this please allow this to happen all the way from the beginning and the signs just kept coming. I'm so excited and so happy. For those who are still waiting may your blessing happen soon. Never stop praying. This is only the beginning of something amazing ❤

PrincyE reacted to Going through in Suicide note? (Update)
After reading that your other thread from March that you linked to...and seeing the types of things you posted...your responses to others...your outlook on your wife's issues...and the amazing advice you received despite all that....
All I want to know is, as her husband, why didn't you seek help for her when she was crying out to you in so many ways for help? You just sent her away, as though she were a burden (which is probably what she thought to herself in her mind, given her state). And now you will divorce her (which in her mind is what she probably feared in the first place, since she felt was a burden). Depression and suicidal thoughts do not go away because of a change of scenery.
I know, it's an immigration forum---we must give advice. Ok, my thoughts to you on your query above:
Yes, you can divorce your wife. She doesn't need to be in the US for you to begin divorce proceedings.
She doesn't need your consent to enter the US either during your marriage, during your divorce, or even after it's all said and done and over.
Of course she can retaliate during a divorce settlement---whether it's retaliation through suing for emotional distress/mental abuse or what-have-you. Just because she is not a USC does not mean she has less rights than you in divorce proceedings.

PrincyE reacted to stoney2016 in expedited request granted
on june 23, 2017 my I-130 petition was accepted by USCIS on June 30, received my NOA1. July 6, 2017 I made a expedited request on a emergency medical basis and called my Tennessee State Senator filed out a case work release form with copy of my NOA1 and Letter from my Dr to back up my statements due to the fact I have Cerebral Palsy and its hard for me to do daily living without my wife and saying if they didn't hurry and expedite my wife I would need to do a assisted living program. So then August 2nd, 2017 I get a email from USCIS saying my expedited request had been denied saying that although my situation was very serious I did not provide enough exidence and that I didnt fall under one of the expedited criterias. So then I call state senator and speak to sarah a representitve from ther office handling my case she said ok im gonna email the expedited dept and fax them the documents I have just to make sure they received she told me to allow 21 days before calling her back then August 8 I decided to be curious and check my case status and it says on august 7 we sent your case and receipt number to Department of state I was in total shock. So then I call customer service for USCIS to speak to a respresentitive just to see if it was an error and she told me the denied expedited decision was reversed and granted to expect my NOA2 within 30 days and sure enough yesterday I received my NOA2. my god im lucky even the secretary told me she had helped with several request but this was the first one she had seen granted... for me only 45 days between NOA1 to NOA2. I am Nebraska service center.. im gonna request to be expedited at NVC once I receive my NVC Letter... I dint even get a email that my NOA2 had been sent it just appeared.. this is a true example of Gods power I see gods holy spirit all over this hes really working for me and my family. me and my wife also have a 10 month old daughter together already did her CRBA shes a dual citizen. my wife will do her CFO seminar sept 5.. just really wanted to share this experience. I also do know as of right now Nebraska is the fastest based on others but as we all know with USCIS come nxt month it can change

I didn't have problem with USPS. I sent my AOS package on 5th August (Saturday) around 12:30 PM from Cincinnati, Ohio and got delivered to Chicago Lockbox on 7th August (Monday) around 3:00PM with second day delivery. Guess its internal problem or just bad luck. Hope your package gets delivered soon.

It doesn't matter who you send mail with, mistakes happen. You're just unlucky!
