So I'm sitting in my favorite chair tonight watching Lost on Netflix, when my email notifier went off on my phone. Then it went off 3 more times. Every one of them said "From USCIS" and my heart skipped 5 beats.

 APPROVED!!!! NOA-2 arrived 93 days after NOA-1 received!!!! I've yet to tell my fiancee. She is taking a shower and getting ready for work. I pleaded for a quick Skype video call.....we are gonna be screaming and shouting!!!

 Make that 50 approvals!!!

You did very well getting approved in 73 days.....WoW!!! Ours took 92 days, which seems about average. Just got off from Skype where I told my fiancee, and we were both screaming for joy!! Now it's REAL!!

It is mailed from the embassy. It should come to the beneficiary but I have seen UAE cases where it goes to the petitioner. It is from the embassy.

5., 6. Packet 3 will contain a list of Drs you can see or check here again: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=United Arab Emirates&cty=Abu Dhabi Once you contact the NVC in about 1-2 weeks they will give you a case number. Use that case number for the Medical. Tell them your receiving a medical exam for a visa. They will know what tests to do, and what vaccinations to give.

They are only kind of handled on a "first come-first served" basis. I think it really does depend on individual caseloads and the speed/experience of each individual caseworker. Some cases take more time than others, some dates have more cases to work through than others. It's frustrating to see petitions sent later than yours being approved while we are still waiting, but it seems to be a rather common thing happening recently. They are finally now finishing up with some of the mid and late November cases, all while jumping between random December cases as well.

In the same boat as you, having received NOA-1 on 1/2/17. Watching the CSC output daily to see how close we are getting. I did a calculation based on the 50 most recent NOA-2 recipients, and the average time from NOA-1 to NOA-2 is right around 85 days. That puts me and fiancee (Philippines) around the end of March to April 2nd, which is predicted for us anyway.
 The wait is such a KILLER!! Seems like NOA-1 was soooo long ago.....

With USCIS and the I-129F they only require proof of having met in person within the past 2 years, not relationship evidence.
 
Relationship evidence is for the actual visa interview at the embassy... that is where you will want copies of your chat logs, photos and such.   Even if the CO may not ask for them, always be a Boy Scout and BE PREPARED
 
 

Hi Bob_B! It's always good to be extra prepared, but just to give you some input, the consul didn't even look at our chat logs (I had printed like 6 pages of recent texts and some ~cheesy~ texts from a couple months ago lol and I handed it to him with our pictures and he just disregarded it!). He only browsed through our pictures (I had an entire scrapbook from when we first met in 2012 until our most recent trip together this New Years, 2017). Even then, though, he only spent like 10 seconds flipping through the pages of the scrapbook I spent hours making!!! D: Haha. I felt a little nervous because all the other applicants had at least 2 bulging plastic envelopes of documents and proof and all I had was a folder and my scrapbook! Haha. But it may differ per case. I had been with my fiance physically in the US for years, so maybe that's why the pictures were enough... perhaps those who have had more long distance in their relationship would require more proof like chat logs and Skype/Facetime screen shots? Always good to be safe.  Best of luck on your journey!

First let me apologize for the delay in my response. Jon is currently visiting and Thanksgiving kept me a bit busier than usual! So sorry!
The google doc is still being updated by me, however the recent people who have received an RFE did not reply to this post with a full description of their RFE, what they sent back, or an update that it was approved. Without this information I can't update the list.
I did not include RFE's regarding the IMBRA questionnaire since when everything was moved over into this forum Vermont was processing a batch RFE for IMBRA when the law changed. However, there are instances where the questionnaire that was added for IMBRA was not filled out entirely and caused an RFE for leaving questions blank. This you can see in the list caused quite a few RFE's to be sent. I also did not include IMBRA in this list because after the original batch request there weren't many RFE's regarding IMBRA and also since there is a sub forum that is strictly dealing with IMBRA and all questions regarding IMBRA I did not want to take away from that forum all the helpful information that is provided daily.
People in the past have sent information in prior to receiving an RFE such as they realized they forgot to include their letters of intent and sent them in, but they only did this after receiving their NOA 1 so that they knew which office to send it to and what their case number was. From the few people who have done this there wasn't much of an issue, but some people who tried to beat their RFE received one anyway. As far as sending in your response before you receive your paper copy DO NOT do this. If you receive an RFE notice via email or text, you must wait for your paper version which explains what you are missing and what you need to send in.

@ Kat&Jon I went the courhouse today to find out why my divorce decree was only one page long. They gave me a certified copy of the same divorce paper and said its only one page long because there was no property or children to divide custody. An open and sut case of unreconcilable differences.

It is very unusual to wait 7 months for a noa2. What do they say when u call them? But then again Texas is processing your file.
