    1. In terms of documentations what all do we need to take to the Naturalization interview
      1. A photocopy of the filled form which has all questions answered. I did get furlough from my full time job and took up a couple of temporary jobs & my wife got a different job. So will try to take papers/letters/paystubs supporting that.
      2. do we need printed tickets/emails for all the travel history
      3. 10 Yr GC originals
      4. Marriage certificate/both our birth certificates - originals
      5. Tax returns - originals
      6. Leases and mortgage contract etc. - originals
      7. anything else I'm missing.

Those who have finished their interview, please let me know if this is a good enough list or any more that I need to take to the interview.

Checked my wife's case on both old and new website. Nothing going on the old website however, the new website, under the documents tab, shows a biometrics reuse notice (which we saved and printed). The notice shows that the case is at NBC so I'm not sure if that is default data or if it is not yet at the field office.

So I must say, this has been surprisingly quick!

This is 100% same thing I saw as well. No update of status or whatsoever, just Biometrics Reuse notice was attached. I guess IOE is NBC until they send it to the local office for Interview etc.

    Submitted: May 8th

Biometrics Reuse: October 22nd  ( I just noticed it today)

I am with you!  I haven't had a single movement on my case since I received the receipt.  Like everything right now, I am not sure there is much rhyme or reason to anything thats going on. Just have to be patient and wait some more I guess. 🙂

100% in the same boat. Since May 8th there is no movement beyond the NOA. :S

Will be patient as everyone. looks like around 10% of all folks have gotten response, interview and approval

Just received biometric reuse notification letter in the mail today. Strange, I was expecting to get the notification online first, but nothing there. It was a pleasant surprise.

Application submitted online 5/19/20, Boston, MA

Estimated case completion time Nov 2020

Thats awesome news! congrats and good luck on the next steps.

Hi all, I am officially a US citizen as of a few hours ago!

    I had my interview appointment this morning. I was allowed in the building 15 minutes prior to my interview time. After the security check, I was checked-in at the reception over an iPad. I was instructed to go to a room where an IO was waiting for me over another iPad. They took about 10 minutes to review my file and we proceeded straight to the civics test part of the interview;

    - what was one important thing that Abraham Lincoln did?

    - name your US representative. (The IO didn't know the person I named so they had to look it up haha)

    - the House of Representatives has how many voting members?

    - what is the capital of the United States?

    - in what month do we vote for President?

    - what ocean is on the West Coast?

Lost connection on the iPad twice during this test, gahhhh!

Reading - what day is Columbus Day?

Writing - Columbus Day is in October.

The IO then reviewed my application and some of my responses on my n400 form. We then went over the qualifying yes/no questions.

Any forms that they needed me to sign as well as the form for the writing test were sent over to the printer in my interview room by the IO. I would sign the form, hold it up at the camera so they could take a screen shot of my response and at the end of the interview all those documents went into a shred bin.

At the end of the interview, they told me I was approved, sent me a notice over the printer that reflected my approval, informed me that I will be taking my oath after the interview. I then took my oath with 4 other appliancants in the ceremony room. Also received an envelope with a few forms - passport application, voter registration, letter from the president, a cute little American flag, and naturally my certificate of naturalization. Make sure everything on this certificate is correct before you leave the USCIS office because fixing any mistakes that you notice after you leave will cost you $500.

The interview lasted about 25 minutes, would have been quicker if it wasn't for the connectivity issues. The process leading up to the oath and the oath took about 15. I was done in under an hour and 15 minutes or so. 10/10 won't do this again now that I'm done lol!

And that is all folks. I wish y'all all the very best with your interviews!

    Congrats!

    Hi Everyone,

I am happy to announce that I am officially done and have completed my visa journey lol. I was naturalized today and I'm happy it is done. The interview was good. It was a small socially distanced oath ceremony with no friends/family allowed. I received my certificate of naturalization today. Now I'm applying for my passport. Good luck everyone! I hope you get your interview dates soon! All the best

Congratulations! Fastest approval in May 2020 group. That’s awesome

    - Got a biometrics reuse notice letter uploaded to website, still waiting for hard copy in snail mail.
    - Status changed to interview is scheduled.
    - Estimated time for completion moved up to September.  It was originally September, then delayed to January 2021, but now it is back to September (1 month).

I better go study my flash cards again!

This is just plain exciting to hear TBH! Haven't heard anything yet I filed N-400 May 5th 2020 (ROC approved May 13th 2020) , as I said they are re-using biometrics, good news overall! Good luck!

    Hi Andrea,

I see that you have filed n-400 by papers and I'd like to ask a question.

I filed my n-400 by papers as well, and I've received the notice instructing me to create an online account in order to monitor my case.

I wonder if your case number also starts with "IOE...."? and if you could see All your paper documents have been scanned and uploaded in your online account?

It's confusing for me, as I filed it by papers, now I can see only PART of my paper application in my online account under the section "documents". I wonder if this is the case for you as well.

    Thank you so much!!!

this is exactly how it is for me, I dont think you have to worry about it. Even mine I only see a few documents scanned. But I think they should have all the paper documents.

Yes, i am still having issues with the old site. When i look up my case it shows "USER-DEFINED ERROR".  Its been like that for 2 weeks now. New site is working, but i guess away around the old site is to call the customer service number and have the automated system look up your case and it will tell you the same as the old site.

I think they are trying to phase out the old website as for N-400 applicants they have given IOE numbers, but I dont see any movement for now even for biometrics, they should honestly just reuse the biometrics from our ROC (they did this for my friend who applied for I-751), I filed on May 8th 2020. Hopefully they give us some notification on next steps if possible, but its sad as most of them are going to be furloughed. :(

The actual time will be off by a few months but yes that is the average I believe. It shows Apr 2021 for me as well. However there is major difference in processing times based on the state / city so take it just as a rough estimate.

Thank you, usually Biometrics used to get done in around 5 weeks from initial NOA, maybe due to CoVID, its delayed. Have you received Biometrics yet?
