Hi! I asked his father to fill up the DS 3053 form. And then I submitted it. It must be original form. I asked him to print form and then fill up and signed. He need his valid id too. And he send it to me via LBC. my son has passport now.
Did you include anything about family code article from Philippines?

I will be US Citizen soon. I have a 9 yr old son who will derive citizenship from me. I will apply for his passport and one of the requirements is an evidence or proof you were in a legal and physical custody of your U. S citizen parent.
My son is born out of wedlock but his father signed on his birth certificate and my son have his last name. But according to Philippines Family Code that the parental authority including custody will be on the mother of an illegitimate child. I will have his father sign a consent DS 3053 form too. The father stop supporting him since I met my husband 6 years now. No communication between father and son. But I know where to contact him but I will never bother for that is not my problem anymore
i only emailed him to ask to signthe form and He said he will sign the consent form.
Anyone here have the same issue. Does DS3053 Statement of Consent enough?
I appreciate any help. Thank you
Hi sis, I have the same situation as you are. Did you manage to get any form of documentation proving your legal custody of your child? How did it go? Thanks in advance

I thought birth of country doesn’t matter as long as they are USC and have shown proof of it?
Yes any document that will prove of them being a USC and that could be either birth certificate, passport or naturalization cert.

I thought so as well according to the instructions. Naturalization certificate should be sufficient. Birth certificate is required?
My joint sponsor are naturalized citizen only. They used to be citizen of another country so their birth certificate won't matter to them.

We sent two I-864 forms, one for my husband and one for the joint sponsor. The supporting additional information for each form:
- Statement from the bank with deposits, date account opened; total amount deposited for the past year; present balance
- Statement from employer showing: Date and nature of employment; salary paid; permanent position (also copies of the last two pay stubs and previous W-2)
- Copy of last tax return filed. We received a Request for Additional information for the joint sponsor asking for her birth cert or passport copy.
thanks @Ana&Matt, we have a joint sponsor too the reason why I asked but we did send the naturalization certificate of the person along with the rest of the documents you mentioned. I hope it would be sufficient.

Police Certificate usually is valid for 1 year from the date of issuance. I would advice for you to email the USEM regarding your PC and inform them of the validity.

Anyone with an approval date of May 10th got their NVC case number? people around that date?
Our NOA2 is 05/05 but we only found out because we received the letter in the mail on 05/12. We got case number on 05/18. From NOA2 date roughly it's 2 weeks to get to NVC with the case number. You should have it in a couple of days..

Is it possible to do the medical with just the case number, before receiving package 3 from the embassy in Tokyo? We are trying to move as quickly as possible, and we were able to get the police certificate with just the NOA2. I called and received the case number from the NVC but the case hasn't left NVC yet. I think it should arrive at the embassy by next week. Everything else is already done, we even have an interview date scheduled.
Thanks!
Some of the Clinics/ hospitals designated by USEM for medicals never really require the letter to proceed with it. You may wanna check it with them. But I would suggest for you to wait until it reaches the embassy before scheduling a medical. With that your medical will have longer validity that would be very helpful for your AOS so you don't have to undergo another medical test. I read a few stories from those already on their AOS and some of them got RFE because the medical apparently already expired. ;-)

05/05 hard copy NOA2 here, and I just got my case number from NVC.
I called this morning (10am EST) and they confirmed receipt of the case from CSC, but told me that I should give them 2 weeks to assign a number. I'm sure this is the line they give everyone to protect themselves in case of delays, but my advice would be to try again later the same day, or the day after. I gave it 11 hours, called back, and boom - I have what I need to book my medical. Which I intend to do on Monday!
Does anybody know... can I book it for as early as Tuesday if they have appointments available and I have all of my documents? Or do I strictly have to wait until the case reaches the embassy before I can actually attend the medical?
I don't know how USEM in UK process the K1 visas. But I would suggest for you to wait until it reaches the embassy before scheduling a medical. With that your medical will have longer validity that would be very helpful for your AOS so you don't have to undergo another medical test. I Just called and waited 20 minutes for a representative to tell me "it can take up to six week" we have the same date 🙄
Same response we got the first time we called which was yesterday. I did try today and the lady was very accommodating in giving me the information. She said they just received our papers this morning. ;-)

No it's not ... That's receiving date.
Yes the 23rd is your NOA1 date, doesn't matter when you got the msg about.
Now I'm confused, on the reports which was extracted by @geowrian my WAC number was included to the batch dated on 01/25/17 which is actually my receipt date. I'm counting 5 days earlier :-(

My son has a follow-to-join benefits under his biological father's application which was approved in 2014. When checking ceac website it shows it is READY. My question is, does it have an expiration or it will just remain as READY and just wait for us to schedule the interview anytime?

Good evening F2B filers, I have a question.. for those who got their application approved, what type of visa they stamped on your passport? what's the validity? Is it just an entry visa that you have to request for the green card itself once you arrive in the US? thank you in advance for those who will answer ;-)

I just got curious after checking those you guys are scanning... There's one that says "Correct Fee Received" where in quite a number of cases was rejected because they "Sent the Incorrect Fee". If fee can be corrected then why they are rejecting those with incorrect ones? ?
