Just got off the phone with NVC, and I have a case number! My case was approved 7/18, NVC received it on 7/28, and the case number was assigned 8/2, for anyone with similar timelines. It's still "At NVC" according to the tracker but it's something!

To add on to this, if you aren't sure if your case electronic, you can call line 7 first. That's what I did on day 1, and the lady on their end told me that my case was electronic and I needed to call line 5. Or you can always try both! Line 5 always had a really short line for me.

This just means it's at the NVC, going through processing. It'll change to "In Transit" soon, once it's been sent to the embassy! Don't worry about the 6 steps, they don't apply to the K1 visa.

Okay, that would make about 100% more sense. My case was electronic (I was told this by the NVC), and I had to use the "everything through CEAC" line because of it. They should really re-think their wording lol, save our poor souls some freaking out.

Just called the NVC again. They have my case (woo), but it's still being scanned into their system (boo). They told me to call back in a few days, which of course means, call back tomorrow lol. I don't mind since line 5 never has a very long wait, and it helps ease my mind that at least something is happening over there.

We're just doing a simple court ceremony, so there's really not much planning going on there. I did buy my wedding dress though, I could include the receipt. I know Sydney isn't a particularly hard embassy so it most likely won't be important.

I just finished packing my stuff to move up to my new apartment. I'm moving up on the 4th, and then grad school stuff all starts on the 16th (orientations and all of that, school starts the 24th). Hopefully I'm only in the place by myself for two-three months. I'm notoriously paranoid about living alone, even in good neighborhoods.
