  1. Had the interview with my spouse at the Phoenix service center on Friday. The officer was disappointed that we did not bring the original of our marriage certificate. At the end he gave us a printed letter saying "...the request to remove condition has been recommended for approval....after final review and approval, you will receive your new Alien Registration Receipt Card (Firm I-551)...."

The officer said they will be running some background checks with the FBI before ordering the print of my new green card! and that I should now just wait for the card in the mail which can take a few weeks due to the backlog, sigh!!

Today I just went ahead and submitted my N-400 that I have been saving all this time

  2. Strange thing happened with my Case. I filed at the end of June 2020, case was assigned to Texas service center and Fingerprints were applied. a month later I received an RFE coz I forgot to include a copy of the marriage cert. I replied to the RFE, then my case was transferred to NBC in Dec and they sent me a notice to that effect. On Feb 25th 2021 the case was updated online to show ready to schedule interview, but yesterday informed delivery showed I had a letter from USCIS and I assumed this was an interview scheduling notice, instead I received another notice from TSC dated 03/12/2021 informing me they have my case and are processing it and that they will use my bio metrics on file and will contact me if they need anything!!

It seems TSC sent my case to NBC, and then NBC has sent my case back to TSC!!! They are just tossing the case around like a football haha.

  3. I randomly checked my case today on the USCIS website and found that they updated it to show that my finger prints on file have been applied to my application to remove conditions. The update says the fingerprints were applied on Aug 25th!! So these guys are letting me know two months after the fact! haha. I have been checking almost every week since filing and there was nothing. Anyways, at least there is movement. My service center is SRC

  4. Hello Everyone.

Here to encourage, but mostly to be encouraged haha. I never entered anything in the fields on the form that did not apply but application was accepted. My receipt number starts with SRC and I have no idea what service center it is. Someone inform me

Package Delivered Phoenix AZ: June 18th

    Checks cashed:                            June 24th

Called USCIS to get receipt number June 30th (was informed it mailed on June 23rd)

  5. My 2 year GC expires on 07/19/20. I am traveling to my home country at the end of next week for just two weeks. I know am just being paranoid, but if something comes up that keeps me away past the GC expiration date(4.5 months), what would be my recourse to return? I have my ROC documents ready and signed waiting for the 90 days period to hit. Can my wife send the forms to USCIS and then mail me NOA1 in the mail?

Hi everyone. I’ve been on visa journey for quite some time but just found this post for nrb. We are still in the nVC process waiting for a case number. I was wondering if I could get assistance with regards to vaccinations we will be needing. It seems very costly getting them done at the medical exam. I have lost my childhood vaccination card which means I obviously will have to get some shots again. Which ones should I get done. Also I understand if you get the flu shot you have to wait 4 weeks before getting the mmr shot. Is that true. I have already got the flu shot, and completed my hep b shots. Will be scheduling mmr and dpt booster. Are those sufficient? Thank you!

If you are above 18 years the shots you need are MMR, Tdap, Influenza, and Varicella. I advise u to take the Influenza shot at ur medical examination coz they are know to make people who have taken the shot from elsewhere repeat it, they did it to me. If u have ever had Chicken pox u wont need to take the Varicella shot, just let the person registering u for the vaccinations know when they ask. For the reminder of the vaccines (MMR, Tdap) u should take them somewhere cheap and just come with vaccination card proving u did, preferably a yellow fever card or some official govt vaccination card. May the Lord be with you

Hello – My  Fiancée  and I are trying to schedule a K1 interview in Nairobi and can’t seem to locate instructions on how to pay. We have created an account immigrant side https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ke/iv , set our Courier location and are on the Payment screen. At this point is says “Your application requires 1 U.S Visa application (MRV) fee” But there is no link to get payment instructions. The screen also says No appointments are Available.

Has anyone run into this issue? If so how was it resolved?

oh yes, I was in the same exact position a few months ago. I had to wait until there was an available appointment date to be able to pay and access the appointment calendar. This waiting took weeks, I called them often and checked the site many hours each day. You will finally get a day dont worry, U are almost done, take heart

We registered through the IV website since it is the only one that allows has a K1 radio button and allows you to enter the DS 160 information. After registering on the IV website my finaccee's name does appear on the NIV website but there are no options associated.

How do we get the forms to pay for the Fees?

Hey PL&SN, I went down this same journey a few months ago and at the beginning of this month, I got my k1 visa issued. Having said that, I think I can give u the most recent information u need. You are stuck on that part of the website because there are no available interview dates right now. You will have to keep checking everyday until there is an opening, then u will be able to generate a payment slip. Since u are in Uganda, u are going to have to pay using M-Pesa, so when you go to generate the payment slip, choose to pay with cash, print the slip out, then look for the nearest M-pesa u can find. There is an M-pesa at the bus booking building next to National Theater ( I would use that one coz i think they are more trustworthy). After paying, the system will tell you to wait at least two business days for ur payment to be registered, dont heed, check the following day around the same time coz 24 hours are usually enough. After ur payment has been registered in their system, the appointment booking calendar will open up to u and from that day on, u will be able to book an interview date if there is any available, and u can also reschedule.

    Hope that helps.

Wishing u all the best. Stay blessed

  9. Why go back to Canada and be faced with the visa interview with no gaurantee of passing???? Nothing is assured my dear. Why go back to Canada and be separated from ur fiance for over 6 months??? What if something happens at the medical and then u have to wait longer or even become ineligible?? Just get married, wait for about 3 to 4 months after filing AOS +EAD+AP, use ur AP to travel back to Canada and finish any pending business.

Thank you both so much for youe timely responses. What is the cost to get the NIRA certificate,  how many days does it take, and what other requirements are needed?

If he is Ugandan, it will cost him only 5000 shillings. He needs to take a photocopy of his national ID and a photocopy of both his parents' national IDs ( if he has one parent alive, that is enough, if no parent is alive, then take for the next of kin who is either an uncle or auntie). He will be given a form to fill in, attach the photocopies of national IDs, attach the short birth certificate and then pay. It takes just one week to get the Birth certificate

Hey guys. We are wondering what kind of birth certificate you submitted. Is the short version from the subcounty acceptable? We just found out today that there is a "long version" you can get from Kampala at the National Registry of Births and Deaths or something like that. Is that the one required?

They want the long one which u can only get from NIRA in Kololo. Go with the short Birth Cert when processing the long one
