Good morning y'all. I haven't been on here much lately.. Just trying to keep myself busy.  But just some update, I got the "card is being produced" email this morning for ead thank God. It's been 161 days since pd, I did not expedite! I am very happy this morning, I feel like I can breathe again as I have been so depressed lately. This process is draining me mentally, the wait is brutal but thankful I'm now one step closer. Now I'm going to buckle down into some serious job hunting while I wait for the card in the mail. Hope y'all have a blessed day!

Hey!  You can find the policy here (see also the excerpt below):

    https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume8-PartB-Chapter3.html#S-B

Unfortunately, the one instance where you would still have to have a new medical would be if they had lost your overseas medical. It's unusual but apparently it has happened. In other cases they shouldn't be able to make you have a new one however. As long as you filed AOS within a year of your medical and you fulfil the other two requirements below.
    Good luck tomorrow!

    "4. K or V Nonimmigrants Applying for Adjustment [26]See INA 245 and 8 CFR 245.

K and V nonimmigrants applying for adjustment of status are not required to repeat the medical examination if the application was filed within one year of the date of the original medical examination, and:

•The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition; or
•The applicant received a conditional waiver in conjunction with the K or V nonimmigrant visa or the change of status to V and the applicant submits evidence of compliance with the waiver terms and conditions. [27]

If a new medical examination is required and reveals a Class A medical condition, a new waiver application will also be required. In such cases, the officer should determine whether the applicant complied with the terms and conditions of the first waiver, if applicable. Such determination should be given considerable weight in the adjudication of a subsequent waiver application. [28]

Even if a new medical examination is not required, applicants must still comply with the vaccination requirements if the vaccination record was not included as part of the original medical examination report. If the vaccination report was properly completed at the time of the overseas examination, the officer may accept the vaccination assessment completed by the panel physician.

An applicant’s overseas medical examination report completed by a panel physician should already be in the applicant’s A-file. If it is not in the A-file, the officer should request the medical examination report through a Request for Evidence (RFE).

If the applicant was granted a change of status to V in the United States, [29] the medical examination report completed by the civil surgeon should be in the A-file created at the time that the change of status was initially granted."

Hey everyone, sorry for being absent for a bit, was on a vacation to California.  Before we left we had received notification that our card had been mailed and would be delivered by USPS.  Since I had a feeling it would come while we were gone, I left a note for the mail carrier to please leave a pick up notice for the package and we would get it at the Post Office upon our return and to please not return it to the sender.  When I got home last night, I looked through the stack of mail that my friend had brought in for us while she was watching our cat and there was the envelope.  I was really surprised that our mail person just left the envelope without a signature or verifying the passport as I thought a signature would be required.  So, we now have green card in hand and this part of the journey is over for us.  We feel extremely lucky having gone through the Chicago Field Office and from submission to Green Card in hand was only 4 months.  I don't know how we got so lucky but it is such a relief to finally be at this point.  I hope that everyone here gets to feel this soon as you all have been great and supportive along this second part of our journey.  So, for now, we're done with USCIS and DHS for 1 year and 9 months until we apply for RoC.  I know the user defined error and lack of updates gets very frustrating but everything will come in time and the feelings of frustrations will be overcome and forgotten by the feelings of joy as you complete the process.  Of course I'll continue to be here and check up on everyone and I wish everyone the best of luck!

    Hello February Fillers.
I mailed my wife Aos package on February 6th , 2018; after alot of delayed It finally made it to Uscis on February 20. February 26 i received the email for the case numbers of I485 and I765. on march 5 i received the Hard copy's of both case's. As instructed by the electronic email. I waited till i received my hard copy before checking the case number online.
March 20 my wife did her biometric. From march 5  I been getting that user error since for the i485 case and stay showing received date for the i765. I checked the online case every 2days  since march 5th tilI June 18th I still was getting that user error.  Today FINALLY I stop getting that user error message. Now my case number showing that
CASE IS READY TO BE SCHEDULED FOR AN INTERVIEW. It's a great feeling for not having to deal with that user error. When trying to check your case. I know it .might take a while before the interview scheduled. But at least now i can tracked the case status.

Hey guys! We had our AOS interview today at the Chicago Field Office. It was pretty packed there, we had our interview about an hour after our actual appointment time. We had our attorney with us as well. The immigration officer asked us just about every question you can think of. She went through every single detail/question on the form. Most, if not all the questions were directed towards him. She asked him his name and date/country of birth, she asked him for my name, my date of birth, my birth location, my daughter's name, her date of birth, where she was born. She also asked for my daughter's birth certificate to prove it is not his kid for some reason. She asked him how and when he entered the country this time around, she wanted the exact dates and airports. She then asked him for his current passport and all previous passports, thank God we brought those with us. She asked me only for my state ID or driver's license, I provided her with my driver's license. She asked him about his previous visits to the country and how he entered the country previously before coming here on the K1 visa. She also asked him about a previous student visa he applied for a couple years ago and to me it seemed like she was a bit suspicious on that. She asked him what family he had here as well. She also asked for an original of my divorce certificate since I was married once before my current marriage. She then asked if we had anything further info we wanted to provide so we gave her the typical stuff, our leases, insurance, etc. She didn't take any of our pictures and we came equipped with a huge photo album lol. After we gave her those documents she directed only two questions towards me which were to explain how we met and how many times we visited each other since we did long distance for a long time. After that she did not say anything about us being approved or denied. She gave us a paper saying the case will be held for further review. So we're kind of down because we were somewhat expecting to get approved on the spot since others here have stated that but we're staying positive since she seemed friendly at the end and cracked a couple of jokes about how we met (tinder lol..) Hopefully we'll get an approval as soon as possible. Case status online does not say anything. fingers crossed!

Hi All... fellow Feb filer here.

Just got an email that my EAD is in the mail or being processed or something, but I have my AOS interview in about 3 weeks from now anyway. Is the EAD slow or is the AOS interview quick ? Anyone recently done the interview, do we take all the stuff we already submitted again (it does say, unless already submitted), so I am not planning to, but they are also known for loosing stuff
