  1. I just found this article on travel.state.gov and anyone that received an I-864 checklist can check it out https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/news/ink-signature-no-longer-required-on-affidavits-of-support.html

it basically states that since January 1, 2017 photocopies of form I-864 are accepted unless NVC specifically requests the original. It also shows what a specific request for an original I-864 looks like

Electronic copy means the documents you have sent through email (scanned) to NVC and they have never seen your signature on real paper. For all the documents sent electronically to NVC, the original signature are required to be taken to the interview.

I didn't send any electronic documents to the NVC, my dilemma is that I sent all ORIGINAL documents to the NVC however mistakes were made on the ORIGINAL I-864 so they requested that my sponsor fill out a new one and that I take it to the interview. My question is, for that new i-864 and tax returns. Is it okay for me to take a photocopy to the interview. It does state "Do not send the corrected form and documents to NVC. Instead, give all requested documents to the visa applicant, who should present them to the consular officer during the visa interview. Don't forget to sign your Form I-864 by hand. Your signature cannot be typed or electronic. The applicant may bring a photocopy of the signed form to the interview."

If the checklist says that you can carry the photocopies to the interview then you can..

please refer to the checklist in detail.

It states, "Do not send the corrected form and documents to NVC.
