Did you file electronically? or is it a work visa? Some of those work differently than the traditional snail-mail IR1 cases...
It's a CR2 visa and no i didn't file electronically

Because your case just completed. Congratulations!
I dont think that's possible, I got my case number last week, I haven't even paid any fees yet. I've only submitted the DS-261
-
Why does it say n/a under "Affidavit of support fee"?
-
My affidavit of support form and financial documents are 7 months old, will nvc accept them??
-
When I try to login it says "this case is in precess of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted..."
-
I filled out my ds-261, I didn't use an agent. I don't see any fees to be paid
-
Any luck for you guys?
-
I got my case and invoice number yesterday and i completed my Ds-261 today

On my police certificate it clearly dictates that it is for the national visa center, however nvc will only receive a copy and the original will be taken to the interview. Will the embassy/consulate accept or deny it being that it's not directly addressed to them? Will I have to redo another one for the embassy itself??

I am the step mother (US) and her father is green card holder yes her birth father. And she is 6 years of age. But thanks
You need to file an i-130 you can read more about form I-130 here: https://www.uscis.gov/i-130
the process usually takes about a year and you the USC (Step-mom) should file the petition.

Call nvc and get your case number!
You case was forwarded to the national visa center after getting approved by uscis so you need to call the national visa center to find out if they received your case and whether or not they've assigned a case number

I am doing the same process for my step-daughter who is 17 (was 16 when I applied). Sent I 130 overnight to Phoenix lockbox on Aug 22, 2016 and on Aug 26, 2016 I received a email confirmation that they had received the I 130 and rerouted it to Nebraska Service Center for processing. Received the I 797 a few days later in the mail. My step-daughter has a 10 year visitors visa to the US but she wants the opportunity to study in the US. I am a US citizen and my spouse is LPR. My spouse travels a lot for his job so he has not started his Naturalization process so that is why I petitioned for my step-daughter. I have not received any response since I received the I 797. Is this normal? I realize I just passed the 5 month mark but I am starting to get concerned. Thank you in advance for any thoughts/encouragement...
Call nvc and get your case number!

Did you receive email from NVC?
Our case was approved 01/18 and status changed to sent to DOS on 01/31.
I was wondering how long it will take them to get our case.
We are planning on calling back on Monday.
Hey tanish my case was approved 1/19 and sent to DoS 1/27 and I called today and they said they received my case today (02/03) and I should call back in a week or 2 to get a case number. For me it took exactly 1 week after it was sent

I was approved 15 days ago, i'm reading topics by VJers and they're saying that it usually takes around 21 days after approval for NVC to receive packets from USCIS. Still playing the waiting game
I'm going to get my police certificate process started tomorrow because it takes 1 week.

My case was approved on 1/19/2017 and shows sent to DoS 1/27/2017 any idea when nvc should receive it? I was going to start calling NVC around the end of this week. And has anyone else been recently approved?

Do I need to take the entire interview letter including the checklist or do I just take the letter itself when I'm going for my medical just asking cuz I read somewhere where it says to take the antenna to be on the safe side
When you schedule the medical at Andrews Hospital let them know that it's for the US embassy purposes they'll know exactly what to look for. They will also ask what's your interview date

I spent 7 months at USCIS and i'm reading posts where people are spending 21 weeks at nvc. Sigh I thought all the waiting would've been left behind at USCIS. I haven't even started to submit any documents yet
