I'm reading on the NVC's website, documents for my wife to bring to the interview. It list the same documents I sent to the NVC for proof of income, along with a competed and signed I864. I thought all those were forwarded to the embassy by the NVC??
They are, I think that list isn't so much about docs that you need to "take" per say, they're more about docs that are required for the interview. So in your case being that nvc forwards them, the embassy would already have them. It wouldn't hurt to still take a copy to the interview just in case.

Pardon me if this has come up before. I would like to know if we need to make 2 separate packages (one for AOS and one for IV) each with same check list (provided by NVC) and corresponding cover sheet (also provided by NVC that has barcode on it) and place them both under one package and ship them?
Yup from what i understand that's the best thing to do.

Do I absolutely need to send passport pictures to nvc with the IV package? Can I just take them to the interview with the original civil docs?

Do I need to send passport photos to nvc?? It's not on the checklist. Can I just take them to the interview?

Does anyone know if it's a really big deal that my husband forgot to include the cover page with my name on it in the package? We just realized that there were 2 cover pages and we only included the checklist one ? I saw that some people got a CC even if they didn't include the checklist one but I don't know about the other one.
What does the other cover page entail? I thought the checklist page was the cover page...

is he over 16?
Can his father not be your household member vs getting a joint sponsor? (also you don't need proof of your US citizenship status in the I-864, only proof of the joint sponsor's status (lpr or usc))
Yes, he's 18

I am a USC filing for my stepson I'm preparing to send AOS and IV packages the documents I have are
AOS:
• My proof of U.S status
• My signed form I-864
• My financial docs
• Joint sponsor's proof of U.S status
• Joint sponsor's signed I-864
• Joint sponsor's financial docs.
IV:
• Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate
• Copy beneficiary's passport
• Copy of beneficiary's police certificate
• Copy of my marriage certificate with his dad
Thats pretty much all there is right? Is there any more required documentation?

I am not able to complete my IV fee payment as it states "database error" when I try to log in. I already paid the AOS fee and everything went fine then a few days ago. Did this happen to anyone else? What does "database error" mean - is it my particular case or an issue at NVC?
To the best of my knowledge it means that NVC is preparing your invoice (That means by the next working day your IV fee should become available). It says the exact same thing for me and last night I got an email saying that NVC is currently processing my IV invoice.

Yes I just put both of them in one envelope.
Okay but what confuses me is the cover sheet info, the one that's with the AOS, I'd still check photocopies of birth certificate, etc even though those documents aren't in the AOS envelope being that they're in the other IV envelope?

Hey i'm preparing to send my AOS and IV packages. I'm just confirming I just print off 2 cover sheets and put one with the AOS in one envelope and one with the IV in the other envelope and put both envelopes in one big shipping envelope right?

Mine showed paid two days later. They say up to 3 days to show that. Just paid mine end of last week.
Okay, usually immediately after i make an online payment my bank account shows the pending transaction however i'm not seeing any right now. So I guess I'll check back at the end of the day
-
My AOS invoice became available today. I paid it. Hopefully the transaction goes through without any problems. How long do they take to process the transaction?
