    Fraud was committed, whether he realized it or not. OP, you should just give up the K-1 process and get married if you need to have the religious ceremony first. Pakistan is very high fraud, if you’re smart, you won’t do anything to add to that perception.

    Maybe your friends are in luck....I've seen the VJ references to the May 30 date for the fee increases, but there is nothing official to be found. Other speculations I've seen online are "by the end of 2023" and "this summer."

    If it arrives after the fee change, it will absolutely be rejected. There is no leeway, or mailing date or anything - it's 100% receipt date.

    Pakistanis get extra background checks anyway. The countries you listed are not extremist countries....you'd want to be careful traveling to countries like Iran.

    That is not normal. Sounds like a clerical error (the RFE notice). An approval is an approval. Could be that they intended to do an RFE, but realized they didn't need to in order to approve the petition. Please let us know what shows up in the mail, and good luck.

    I would definitely keep the interview appointment. Different consulate (Auckland) and situation (not TB-related), but my fiancé's medical hadn't arrived to the consulate for his interview. It didn't measurably delay things. YMMV.

    Please post a link to this. Petitions do not get mailed to service centers. They get mailed to lockboxes, where they are dispatched to the service centers based on USCIS algorithms/metrics (i.e., not based on petitioner's state of residence). Like others are suggesting, you are much better off filing online. Please read and research as much as you can about the entire process; it could save you wasted time and money.

    NO NO NO! Do NOT mail your packet to any service center. Please for the love of pete, READ the instructions that accompany all of the forms. A typical case would take around two years, but mistakes like that can add significant time and money to the process.

    Certainly not typical for low-fraud, low-risk consulates. Not surprising for Egypt/MENA.

    Where did you get the idea that she’s eligible for a US passport? If she eventually qualifies to naturalize, that’s years and years away. You can petition her for a spouse visa. It won’t be quick.

    OP seemed wholly unaware of the ROC requirement. She has been a conditional GC holder for 5 months. There is absolutely no point in focusing on citizenship at this point.

    Fetch her back to the US how? Does she have a spousal visa already?

    ROC is a big deal. You need to start researching it. You’re putting the cart ahead of the horse by focusing on citizenship, which can’t happen until you remove conditions anyway.

    What do you mean “safe to apply”? Why would it not be? Any job that has a citizenship requirement will state that, along with the other job requirements.

    The problem is when you bring in amounts of scheduled medications (narcotics) that are greater than normal for personal use. That’s the gist of this thread.
