Hello everybody  Just sent our packages to NVC today. Feeling hopeful and excited  Thought I would join this thread : )

I was asked about my previous B1/B2 visa, had no problems! Before I got that visa I had a couple of tourist visa denials. All this had no effect on my CR1 visa. 😊

Unless there is some conflicting information with the application and your petition generally it isn't a topic that I have heard come up much.... that being said hopefully there isn't any misrepresentation on any previous application done or they can and will find it as it is on record forever.

I think a good test to make sure you are not being scammed is to suggest to the foreign fiancé that you want to move to their country to live with them. If the reaction is "great! Can't wait to be with you all the time! Let's research what visa you need" then there's a good chance it's genuine. If the reaction is "absolutely not! I am moving to America" then you know where the priorities lie.

Congrats!!  Call back at the end of every day .  Took only 2 business days for mine to be assigned.  If you get a really nice rep, you can log in, speed complete your DS-261 and ask them to review on the same call lol

I called in yesterday, they informed that my case was received but not yet input into the system. The gentlemen did not provide a case # to me, he told me it would take 2-3 weeks.
For the heck of it, I tried calling again this morning, after 15 mins wait, lovely lady I spoke to provided me with my case number.
You should try calling again on Monday. 

FINALLY I have some good news to share - OUR PETITION GOT APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!
I just got off the phone with tier2 operator after requesting the callback from USCIS and she just causally told me that our petition is approved today and the notice is sent. I also managed to finally change our mailing address so the physical notice will be sent to our address back in the States.

Got transferred from Nebraska to Texas 

FINALLY I have some good news to share - OUR PETITION GOT APPROVED TODAY!!!!!!!
I just got off the phone with tier2 operator after requesting the callback from USCIS and she just causally told me that our petition is approved today and the notice is sent. I also managed to finally change our mailing address so the physical notice will be sent to our address back in the States.

That is exactly what my husband did for me and in less than 6 months I had a nice credit score 

I was added to my husband's AmEx, six months later my credit score is good+. 

Yes you can. My husband added me so we have had joint since then. 

Very true.I just spoke to a supervisor for 30 minutes with no luck at all. Kept asking same questions over and over again and no progress on answers whatsoever. They dont listen....

I just want to see someone with PD from end of September to get some happy news! 

maybe he was being honest, maybe he was not fully committed. in that case the officer did you a huge favor.

I can understand both sides and where they are coming from, but I do think the newbies should read up a little bit before  start their introduction by posting negative comments expressing their frustrating and disappointment with the system here.
Everyone should positive knowing that each new day brings you closer to the approval day.
It's like riding a train which will take you to your destination.  Just have a little patience 

I know my case is not going to be sitting in USCIS office for another 6 months.
 
 
becuase we get transferred that does not means it will take another 6 months,go to USCIS and see what monthsn they working on which is August and one said July . They transferred case to balance the service centers so they wouldn't have too much backlog/be back up.
 
 
maybe it's you who won't receive approval,  how come a few of October November, December people get approved and most of cuz haven't?

i understand that you don't really understand how the process work but try to do some research and try to understand how the processes work.

That is what happening to me now, transferred to from Nebraska to Nebraska.  That really don't make no sense

I know, Nebraska is a real nightmare, but let's look at the bright side, they've started approving some August applications, i think they might start looking at September applications pretty soon.  

Why? That article is simply an absurd attempt to frighten people. 

Like I said, as long as your country is not on the ban-list, you're fine. Google 'countries ban list' and it'll tell you the same. Everyone worries a little and that okay, totally understandable.

Georgia isn't on the list, same as Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Morocco for example. It's valid now for citizens from Yemen, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, Sudan and Libya.

Only those being citizens by birth of the banned countries will face delays and restrictions in their visa process and when entering with legal documentation. You are not on the ban list if you're not Muslim.

Been monitoring the June 2016 I-130 fliers thread. Looks like the number of people being transferred from Nebraska to Texas has increased substantially over the past few weeks. Hope this means the workload at Nebraska is decreasing!!!

I would really hope so!!! I'm with Nebraska, and they seem so backlogged compared to the other locations. It's getting frustrating
