To be more specific, COs from certain embassies tend not to accept joint sponsors. An embassy where they tend not to accept them could have a CO still accept them, and an embassy that tends to accept them could have a CO that won't. The actual I-134 isn't truly required (as shown by some COs not asking for it, which happens in Manila pretty often)...the actual requirement is the CO must believe the intending immigrant will not become a public charge. An I-134 is just the typical way to show that (and why you should always have one ).

No problem. I'm not a lawyer or any type of law professional but I'm willing to help when and if I can.

Here is the link I found with the poverty guidelines. This is for the I-864 form for those that are applying for the spousal visa; which is 125% poverty requirement. I believe the K1 requirement is 100%. But I would use this as a base so you see what the requirements are per household:

That doesn't make any sense. The point of the sponsor is to ensure that the beneficiary does not become a public charge, so if your sister(s) are willing to sponsor her, as long as they meet the poverty household requirement when they add her as a dependent to the form, and can provide proof that they meet the requirement, you guys should be good. One of the requirements for the K1 visa is that you cannot be married, so I'm not sure why she would tell you that. The sponsor requirement works the same for heterosexual couples as well as same sex couples during the K1 process.

No but ur sister will have to have enough income for 4 people to be ur co sponsor. JA does not count child support as income, so they will subtract that.

Just reading your post and I'm a bit confused as to why your lawyer is telling you flat out that you can't use your sisters as a co-sponsor? If they meet the poverty household income limit listing your fiance as an dependent and can provide proof of this, where is the issue?

Ja will count ur SSD as income but GI Bill is considered financial aid and they do not consider that as income.
you can have a co-sponsor in JA.

You can have a co-sponsor. Focus on dealing with the ban - that is by far your biggest concern. It's only your i129f petition that's been approved, the visa may only be approved after your fiances interview.

I'll defer to others who have gone through Jamaica's embassy recently, but the guidebook from the DOS says joint sponsors are permitted on the I-134:
http://photos.state.gov/libraries/jamaica/231771/PDFs/Kingston IV Guidebook 2014-04-08.pdf (Page 25):
"Does the Petitioner make enough money to sponsor? If not, does a relative live at the same address who can combine their income with the petitioner to meet the poverty guidelines? If so, that person is considered a “household member” and may submit documents as noted below. If the petitioner does not meet the poverty guidelines even after adding household members’ income, a joint sponsor will be needed and should submit documents as noted below."
Additionally, the K-1 table lists the necessary documents, and there is section for the joint sponsor's I-134. (Page 13)
As for tax returns, if you weren't required to file for a given year, then a letter explaining why (i.e. no income) should be included.

Your I-129f petition was approved, not the K-1, the K-1 is approved only after the interview and then apparently in your situation also the waiver.
You can use your disability and GI earning (the housing/living expenses) paid monthly for schooling if you're going the full 12 credit hours a semester needed to receive it, these can be used as income.
You must supply an I-134 regardless if you meet the requirements or not.
And I have heard Jamaica is fine to use a co-sponsor.
