  1. ** I moved this topic to the Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, or Tourist Visas forum as OP is asking about fees for Adjustment of Status combined with an I-130 fee***
  2. ***Zombie thread locked for further comments. Please related questions as new topics***

  4. The I-130 instructions specifically say unexpired passport. I would comply with the official instructions. As I stated, getting a certified copy of a US birth certificate is EXTREMELY easy....if the US citizen needs a copy. Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, and Form I-130A, Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary (uscis.gov)
  5. If born in the US, a copy of birth certificate is easier and less expensive to get. If she needs to get a copy, Vitalchek works great. I recently obtained my mother's BC using them. I received it in about 3 days.
  6. The CO has access to the entire case. After all, the Consulate Officer is the sole approval authority for visas.
  7. Great!!! That's good news. When my wife arrived here in Texas in 2017, she was able to surrender her Taiwan directly for a full-term Texas drivers license.....no tests.
  8. 1. An I-824 is used for to move already approved I-130s. It does not apply.
  9. Cease all actions until you are ready to proceed with the case. Yes, you can effectively postpone the case indefinitely by just contacting them at least once per year. What document is pending? Just an FE note will not always stop them from scheduling an interview if all documents have been submitted and fees paid. If NVC does schedule the interview, I would just contact the consulate and explain that, due to a job complication, you wish to postpone until mid 2025.
  10. Biden lies, and the majority of the MSM remains silent....Where are the fact checkers?? This video has some good info.
  11. That's my point......any number of things could have gone wrong after their attention was directed toward the envelope. But "all is well that ends well".
  12. Was that before or after you brought their attention to the envelope?
  13. It did, didn't it? Anyway, water under the bridge. Time to look forward to the rest of your journey.....
  14. I would not recommend anyone else doing this. Congratulations on this step of the journey. Next step..... Getting a SSN (per the flowsheet I referenced a few days ago).
  15. ***Topic moved to the Africa: Sub-Saharan regional forum***
  16. Biden's apology to the murderer is beyond angering. It infuriates me to the point that my blood is boiling. I am totally fed up with Biden and this craziness.......Biden must be removed from office....period. If he wins the election, then the new Republican led Senate and House of Representatives MUST remove this pathetic excuse for an American leader.
  17. Yes. Just make sure you enter the US before the K-1 visa expiration date.
  18. If you have exceptional circumstances, you can seek Direct Consular Filing for her spousal visa. That is much shorter path. As far as your spouse just visiting the US, I see no options. Good luck on your immigration journey.
  19. Never of that as a reason for extended administrative processing. I thought it was more likely country of origin or travel history.
  20. Looks fine with no need for a Joint Sponsor. Since she is an employee, what she currently earns is king...not what was reported on past tax forms.
  21. ***2 similar threads merged***
  22. Immediate Relatives of US citizens (IR-5, for example) cannot have derivatives.
  23. Thanks for the update. Question: Did she ever file an I-751? If not, she needs to get it done asap. Why a DS-160?
  24. The kats better dust off their pink caps........their nemesis is getting stronger each day.
