traveler100 got a reaction from mallafri76 in my fiances first week in america...,.
    One word, my friend....... shopping.
shopping will cure all her woes. i'm guessing she agreed to take this huge step with a picture of america in her mind being something amazing and reality isn't quite what she expected. give her something she'll like. most women enjoy shopping, set a budget for yourself, whatever you can afford.. and take her to store. try to avoid malls as she may see so many things and get confused or would want it all. take her to a macy's, perhaps and buy some toys (1 or 2) for her child. also try to avoid taking her to thai restaurants. it is a bad idea. something you must understand about homesickness, the cultural stuff in america is far from authentic and it just spells disappointment. she hasn't been away from home for so long that she misses the thai cuisine yet. don't try to over compensate. take her out for some good old american ice cream or coffee, something she can experience and take her mind off Thailand for a bit.
    Hope things work out.

So, this removal of conditions really serves no purpose other then a means to collect more fees for uscis, huh?
Let me get this straight, if your wife enters US before your second anniversary, then you have to pay more to get the conditions removed. However, if she enter just after your second anniversary, then there's no conditions on the green card?

I don't mean to sound insensitive or rude as I don't know the back story but may I ask if you have some kind of physical disability that prevents you from going out and getting a job of your own with your own health insurance and so therefore you can afford to buy yourself some driving lessons. This is the USA and here everyone has to live an active lifestyle with hard work to be able to afford the good life. Depending on your wife to do things for you is just lame. Thanks to her, you're here what else do you feel she owes you, bro?

traveler100 got a reaction from FarrahIdir in Affidavit of Support - Does Rental Passive Income Count?
If you're not declaring income from these properties on your tax returns then NO. I understand depreciation is a add-back non cash expense for bankers who analyze your income tax return for a loan but remember the COs at embassy are no accountants. They wouldn't even bother adding your assets if they're in multiple accounts or multiple properties. They want things cut and dry. One account reflecting the sum of all the assets that may cover the support. 3x income requirement if sponsoring a spouse (5x for sponsoring other family members). In your case if there are no other dependents in your household then you'd need 1 property appraised at at least $60,000 clear of any loans on it. ie. $60,000 in equity. otherwise $60,000 in cash sitting for at least six months in ONE bank account. keyword ONE account. I tried doing this using multiple accounts, it didn't work.
Otherwise, just get a joint sponsor. Someone who earns enough on w2. Collect their passport (copy), w2's, 2 paystubs, job letter, and 3 years tax return transcripts and send that in with a new i864 for the joint sponsor and it'll be done.

Why is it his responsibility to get you a driver's licence? You're an adult in a free country. Get a taxi to the nearest DMV office and get your own licence.
    Do you work?

It is tax season so expect things to take longer then usual. going to irs office is a good idea but don't be surprise if there is a long wait before you're helped. it is tax season after all.

One of the requirements to be a joint sponsor is residency in the USA. she can not be your sponsor if she is not living in the USA.

I sure like weighing in on what I might do with my time, as opposed to having someone tell me.
I'm guessing she probably has some thoughts about it.

I think it's entirely plausible that what worked for Indonesia will work for Greece as well, no guarantee, of course, but I'd definitely try.
P.S. Alternatively, I know that your wife could get into Serbia with a valid US visa accepted in lieu of a Serbian one and according to the Turkish MFA website she could also get a free eVisa to get into Turkey under the same circumstances. I know it's not Greece, but you know... thereabouts Plus there's direct flights to the US from Turkey and I've flown Turkish Airlines before (IAD-IST-BEG actually) and it's a pretty good deal generally both price-wise and flight quality wise.

The knowledge/ education in this post isn't anything impressive overall. Don't worry. Be happy! We might not have to move to Canada after all. Trump's rally cancelled today in Chicago.

    1. how are you so familiar with their family traditions? many CEOs of large corporations also steal. government employees often steal public funds etc. like I said there are good and bad people everywhere. it's wrong to classify all immigrants as benefit thieves. the concept, it's not hard to grasp.
    2. when a candidate openly claims he won't allow people to practice a certain religion, or that people of a certain ethnicity are rapists then yeah, its not hard to see it would effect my way of life and YOURS.

Let me let you in on a little secret. Those who "earned" it in the USA, should not kid themselves. They earned their doctorate, or accountancy, or what have you and got a job while someone else wasn't so lucky... circumstances often become obstacles. No one is born with a dream of hustling a few bucks worth of food stamps as their life style. Believe it, they'd all rather be going to work 9-5 if they had the same opportunity. Don't think for a second that a minimum wage worker has an easier job then a corporate lawyer. At the end of the day, they're both equal as humans.
A surgeon is lucky to have had the opportunity finish schooling and get residency. Yes, while he/she must have put a lot of effort into studying, don't forget another person was driving a snow plow for much less money. I'm inclined to think the plow driver worked much harder in life, so be respectful of people. don't pretend all corporate employees are saints. There are thieves and low lives everywhere in society. some steal food stamps while others steal public funds, or embezzle, or doctors who commit insurance fraud.
let go of this hatred based on a lie, that somehow you as a well off person are supporting someone else by paying taxes. you're not. your compensation is what you take home after taxes and the system is designed to somewhat equalize your take home income to that of the poor snow plow driver so we all live the same standard or life/ more or less. it's a great, and fair system.
