The information provided in the link is accurate (and cites the relevant section of the code to boot); it doesn't matter if it's not "an official US govt resource". Whether a copy will be accepted by a LEO as "initial proof of residency" is entirely up to the LEO as the law is that you have to carry the card itself and they are by no means obligated to accept a copy.

Because she's a U.S. House of Representatives member, not a state/local gov't official. If she is your representative now, she will still be your representative until January when the new districts take effect (unless something strange happens between now and then.)
If you are in Orange County, check here as you get closer to your interview date.

Since it is being updated right now I can't verify it but I think it will tell you everything you'll need based on your address, not on being a registered voter (which, of course, you aren't yet.)

While time lines certainly help, so does looking at the topic area it was posted under. US Citizenship General Discussion. I think many have likely made that mistake though
I keep wondering how many justices a person should say now? 8 or 9 as one position hasn't been filled, but the total should be nine.

On the ROC paperwork there is a question that specifically asks if you have ever been arrested or detained etc. by the police. He will have to answer yes to that question but if no charges were filed you have to submit paperwork stating that and explain the situation. It is all explained in the instructions for the document.

Perhaps Justice Scalia should have delayed his death, or could offer to come back to life until March 2017 after the next President is inaugurated? If so, we might have the same situation. Otherwise this is a very different set of circumstances than the one referred to by Biden in the video clip. I don't think hamstringing the Supreme Court is a very good idea, and it would be for over a year at this point if no appointment attempt is made by Obama.

What I find funny about this line of thinking is, no matter what President Obama does, it's an issue. If he appoints a white person, we'll hear he doesn't care about black people. If it's a woman or a minority, it's affirmative action and some well deserving white person has been robbed of a job.
Is it too hard to fathom that maybe a minority/woman could just be the right person for the job?

    Good luck!
I have an update on the no biometrics letter issue: I called today and the agent put in a service request due to my not receiving a biometrics appointment notice yet. He said that the field office handling my case will email me an update on my case, or they will mail me another notice within 15 days. He gave me a "referral number" to call back with if I don't receive a notice or get an email within 15 days.

Ok, here is how it went.. The lady asked me who I am, I gave here the receipt-number, she asked me what I filled for, I said I-751, she asked me how I filled, I said via mail.
She asked me if I got a Biometrics-Letter and I told her "no, that's why I am calling". She said something like "Ah ok, but you have to wait until the 22th of January, because it can take up to 30 days. I would recommend to call again after that time (in case you still have no Biometrics)."
So let's just wait the 30 day's and they might give us more informations after that. We might be on the fast track without any Biometrics, but who knows.

We didn't use an attorney, and we had no issues or RFEs. If there are no overstaying or criminal issues, I don't think it's necessary to use an attorney. It is still important to be extremely neurotic about the application though. Both of you should look over all the forms multiple times before sending them off. Focus on a detailed, itemized cover letter to include; it's not only an outline of your packet for USCIS, but it's also a useful tool for yourselves to make sure you have included everything you need.
