A tip: there could be a LOT of people queuing up, but most are there to see the non-immigrant people. They may be organizing by times. Don't just get at the end of the long line. Go up to the table and tell them you have an immigrant appointment. They should put you in a shorter immigrant line or send you straight to the security hut regardless of your appointment time. It can vary day-to-day depending on the crowd, but you probably can get the short-cut entry.

No need to worry at all if it's clear to read. They do not necessarily want the capital letters but want the letters not joined to each other so that they don't need to work their ### off to figure out the letter or punch in wrong letters due to misreading.

I-134 to apply for the visa at the embassy. Submit I-864 after the beneficiary enters the US and you marry, together with the I-485 Adjustment of Status application.

Just put the name of the employer, city and country. That's what we did and it was approved.

My fiancé is from Peru. Her interview date is Feb. 18th. The embassy does not allow the US citizen inside during the interview (I guess that is the policy). From what I've read on the US embassy website in Peru, the interviews can last anywhere from 3-5 minutes. I wanted to attend the interview, just in case they had specific questions, demonstrate that we can communicate in our common language Spanish and to support my fiancé. We are anxious, but feel prepared that we have everything covered!

Super excited to finally be sending our application off tomorrow. I was hoping to do it today but its MLK's birthday so nothing is open Fingers and toes crossed we soar through this process!! Has anyone gone to the interview with their foreign fiance? We were thinking of that but its such an expense especially since we are planning a wedding. Eeeeekkk!

USCIS adjudicators do not decide if the relationship is bona fide or not. That is what the Dept. of State and the CO at the K-1 visa interview determine. They are the ones that issue visas. The I-129F petition does not even require proof of relationship.

I had a question about this!! So, on the I-129f and on the K-1 guide here on VJ, it says to state how we've met in the past 2 years. Originally I wrote about how my fiance and I first met, forever ago in 2003 became friends, talked again in 2011, became an item in 2012 and since then have visited on and off, but I thought I had to scrap all that since I reread it and figured they only want the most recent stuff. So it's totally acceptable for me to mention how we first met and became an item, etc? I have our supplement available at this link here if you have a second to review it!
With the examples given here I'm now thinking that what I wrote is perfectly acceptable, except that at the bottom, I will list all of the times we've visited each other, which is a total of 7 times. Just the dates & locations probably.
    Thanks for your help

    1) We wrote ours like this
Proof of meeting within two years
    - passport stamps from X
-boarding passes from X dated __ and __
receipt showing movie ticket purchase for two at ___
    __ photographs
    etc.
we had a lot of passport stamps from different years mind you, I stuck a post-it note on the pages of the most recent trips just for a visual cue.
    2) no we did not sign our proof
3)I don't think something from the future would help in this instance. They want to know if you have met your fiance within the past two years, so make sure you supply evidence of that, rather than a meeting in the future. Provide that and you'll be good on that requirement.

We didn't list every proof, we just wrote:

"- Proof of having met in person in the past two years
    - Proof of ongoing relationship"

We also didn't sign the proof we sent, we did however add a little info on the side to explain what the proof was showing, just to be extra clear.

We also sent our itinerary in the package (the one from the trip that had already happened though, not a future one). Not sure if they'd care about it or not, but we wanted to add as much as possible.

Hello, welcome! These are just my two cents....
    1. With the cover letter, should I list all the proof that I provided for our meeting? Or is it okay to just state that I have listed proof (and keep it neatly together)? On my cover letter I only wrote it like this:
-Proof of having met in the past 2 years... page #
    -Proof of ongoing relationship....page#
And I made a cover page for each of those explaining what was going to follow in the next few pages
    2. A little silly, but do I need to sign proof? Like copies of boarding passes/itineraries? I sign everything else, right?
I think you only need to sign pages like the cover page, the letter of intents, the pages that explain what will follow, and all the forms, but not actual boarding pass or itinerary.
    3. I have booked a flight to see him in March (I've never flown before, so I won't have stamps in a passport from a previous meeting). Is it a good idea to use my itinerary as proof of an ongoing relationship?
I think since this is in the future it wouldn't really count yet

Thanks so much for your reply Kl30morg!
Looks like I should be okay. I added screenshots of chat logs for each month of the year for 2014 and 2015 (fit all of them on 4 pages, so it doesn't seem too bulky) just in case.
    Congrats on your approval!!

It sounds like you have plenty of info- I can share what I sent in as proof as a reference (my I-129F was approved last week)
    -14 photos dated 2012-2015
    - copies of our college degrees (we attended the same college)
    - flight itineraries showing our visits to each other- 6 in total
    - copies of the passport stamps from both our passports to verify the flight itineraries
    - lease agreement proving we lived together for one year before he left America
I didn't include any chat logs, FaceTime calls, Skype calls, etc because I felt like it overloaded my packet. Thankfully the pieces I sent in were enough so my advice is to pick the most meaningful evidence!

I'm sure whoever is working at the Dallas lockbox would know where to send an envelope that said (K-1 Fiancee) having said that the I-129F would be a better option and is more accurate.
In my case I put neither and panicked up until I received the NOA 1..

As per the USCIS mailing tips>
Mark both the envelope and the cover letter as to the nature of the submission. Example: ORIGINAL SUBMISSION - BRIEF FOR AN APPEAL - RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - etc. Use the appropriate mailing address and mark both the envelope and the cover letter as to the form type. Example: I-129; I-130; I-690; I-698, etc. http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

Some will say to keep it short but I believe yours is fine. They do want to see more than the date of your actual meeting etc. They want to see some thoughts and emotion behind what you're saying.
Sure a lot of people get away with sending in the bare minimum with the I-129F but I believe that with more evidence and slightly longer "how we met" than 3 sentences shows more that you're a genuine couple

    This was my 34.a:

Had no problems. I more so just listed where we initially met (online), where we met in person (Airport), and the subsequent visits afterwards.

Also, note that if you put you met online, regardless of a game or not, you can get hit with an RFE asking for more information about where you met on the internet. My fiance and I also met an online game, we expected a RFE because we just put we met online, but we didn't get one. At the interview when my fiance was asked where we met he said online on World of Warcraft and the interviewer just laughed and said he got that a lot lately lol.

Mine was 2 sentences long. I don't even think they were technically full sentences. I just used the lines that were available on the I-129 itself. Your original seems like overkill honestly.
It might depend what country the beneficiary is coming from. Just as you are sometimes advised to front-load your petition when from a higher fraud country, it may help to have more details about your meeting. Since you don't seem to have your profile/timeline set up fully it's hard say from that regard.
I sort of cringed hearing how long some of these meeting explanations are. There is no way anyone needs 6 paragraphs unless there is some extreme circumstance in play.

Add me to the list of making a one page declaration. I didn't know it could be that short either. In fact, I shortened mine from two pages down to one page with four paragraphs and all was fine.
