The official order has been signed and released to the press. You can view a copy here.

The following has now been CONFIRMED and OFFICIALLY signed by President Trump. Here are highlights -
Immigrant and non-immigrants from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Libya, and Somalia will be banned from entering the United States for 90 days starting today.  The Secretary of Homeland Security will review "security procedures" in ALL countries to see if they provide enough information to adjudicate a visa application. Countries which DO not provide enough information will have 60 days to begin providing such information. If at that time they do NOT provide enough information, these countries will be added to the ban list (i.e., immigrants and non-immigrants from this country will not be allowed into the United States). The Secretary of State along with the FBI director and Secretary of Homeland Security have to implement a NEW screening program for ALL visa applications. This NEW screening program must include - an in-person interview, a database to make sure that duplicated documents aren't provided, NEW forms to weed out frauds, as well as make sure that the applicant will be a contributing member of American society, and make sure that the applicant isn't a terrorist. What does this all mean for IR1/CR1 and K1 applicants?

If you are a citizen of Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Libya, and Somalia:
Regardless of whatever visa you might have (IR1, CR1, K1, B2), you will not be allowed to enter the United States for the next 90 days. What does this mean for existing visa applications? Hard to say, but it seems very likely that they will be held up or delayed.

If you are from another country:
Within 30 days a new list of "problem" countries may be released. These countries will be ones which were found not to provide "sufficient" information (whatever the hell that means) to adjudicate a visa petition. Such countries will have 60 days to "fix" these problems and if they don't they will also join the banned list.

On top of all this a new screening program has been ordered to start. It's hard to say what exactly it will mean for existing applications or even when/if it may be implemented (a lot of what's being asked for seems to already exist). But this NEW screening program will apply to people of ALL countries (whatever it is and whenever it may start).

I agree with the others, that you should try a few different things before giving up on this application. While it may happen to others, being stuck in AP indefinitely with no explanation isn't the right approach and I think you can inquire about the reason for it and how to fix it. If they doubted your relationship this badly, they probably would have just denied you. I've heard of other people being put on AP for lack of evidence of bona fide relationship, and they are given the chance to provide further information. While I agree that they are not your friends (nor they have to be), they also don't have evil intentions of putting tons of people on AP limbo just to hide denials. If they want you denied, they'll do it, period. Especially since denials are technically due to lack of evidence of some sort from the petitioner/beneficiary part, not the clerk.

If you are this close to jumping the gun and calling the whole thing off and start over, at least try your congressman now, not in 90 days. I don't know, just try some more things before giving up and doing it all over again.

Also, I truly believe that nobody here is being irrationally positive or oblivious to reality, since all of us have gone through the draconian/miserable/cruel process ourselves. I believe we are all giving you down to earth options and possibilities, so I think we have an informed opinion on the matter and you should try our suggestions. It would be such a shame to waste a whole k-1 process when not all options have been explored.

You got married and you applied for AOS...You don't need to worry about her legal status or the visa. She is legally in the states while her AOS is being processed, no need to worry about that. Also, if she applied for a Work permit and Advance Parole, this takes around 90 days to be issued. If she works or finds work without work permit she is breaking the law and might affect her AOS if caught. Also, she can't leave the country without AP and travel document while under AOS.

Some consulates want the 125% of the poverty guidelines. Check out your consulate. Note that finances are also up to the discretion of the person doing the interview, while you may technically meet the requirements they CAN ask for more proof/more cosponsors if they feel they need more insurance that the foreign fiance won't become a burden in the states. I've experienced this personally through Montreal, which is a low fraud fairly easy consulate, it CAN happen. We ended up giving Montreal three I-134's and proofs.  It's rare, but know it exists.

With that said, this is the actual form they use to determine the lines.  https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/ilink/docView/SLB/DATAOBJECTS/I_864P.pdf

It's ALWAYS best to plan to try to meet the 125%, then you know you're most likely going to be fine. If you don't meet the 125% it's also best to plan to use a cosponsor, start these conversations with people you may want to cosponsor as when you AOS if you didn't meet the 125% for the K-1 visa, you most likely won't meet the 125% for Adjustment of Status.

NORMALLY though, most people don't have many issues at the K-1 stage, it's the AOS stage that there's more issues because K-1 stage there's traditionally a bit more lenancy to income, but AOS it's you meet the requirement completely or you get a cosponsor, no if's and's or but's. So it's best to treat the financial portion of K-1, as if you were AOSing.

The formal requirement is having met in person once in the last two years. But, that will not be enough for many consulates to approve the visa. So, it strongly depends where you're from and what other circumstances you have.

I suggest a more proactive action, that will help you get approval for your case in AP.

First I would try to find out what is the reason for AP for your case?  At interview, did you get a paper with some description and/or codes?

What exactly were you told at interview - what type of information is missing?

You can contact embassy immigration inquiry and ask for what type of information is  needed by consulate for further processing?

In any case, you can submit additional information/documents to consulate - based on what is needed?

There is no point in canceling the K1 at this time. AP is used for background checks, security checks, document verification
and if you file again she can end up in AP again. Wait until AP is completed, if denied then re file with a front loaded petition.
Why on earth would you want to cancel it when the decision is still pending and she could be approved.

She would need to obtain a passport from the Philippines embassy or some sort of emergency travel document they may issue in lieu of a passport; she won't be allowed to board an international flight without one of those two things.

I posted to simply share my experience for others who may have a similar case to mine. I'm not looking for anyone's pity or sorrow. I certainly appreciate those who have supported me. Whenever someone brings a different perspective, I counteract and bring a different perspective also so that whoever read this post can get something out of it. If someone took me wrong than I apologize to them. After reading many posts on VJ it seems some people post simply to freighten the OP....that aspect I have found disheartening. I did question whether or not I should post my experience but decided to do it anyway because reading about other's experience helped me. I guess you can say it was my way of giving back.
I am confident Love will see me and my husband through this challenge. It has stregthened and brought us even closer together.

It's within 12 months of filing for AOS, not your interview date. It's not your fault they take so long to make an interview. The issue is that they don't seem to understand their own rules, and so here we are.

I would suggest he send it with tracking information, it is very cheap with USPS, and you can see where the packet is at all times.
Some friendly advice (take it for what it's worth)- Going forward, it is a very good idea to keep copies of EVERYTHING in this process (including money orders, tracking receipts, etc.) If he finds the money order receipt, and it was not cashed, he can report this as lost, and hopefully get the money back. $370 isn't a cheap amount to have to lose twice. Also, sometimes after the petition is filed, a document could have been forgotten/misplaced/eaten by a leprechaun, and having those extra copies will make it a lot easier if you find yourself responding to an RFE.

When I went to the SSA to get my SS card, I asked them if there was any way that I could get the number before the actual card (I needed to open a bank account and BofA wouldn't take me without a SSN) They gave me their phone number and asked me to call the day after to see if a number was assigned to me, they told me, though, that they were not going to be able to give me my number over the phone so if I wanted it I had to go to the SSA again.
The next day I called and they had my number on record. I went to the office and they gave it to me. The card arrived 5 days later by mail.
Just ask I wasn't asked any questions on why I needed my number before the card.

Technically you don't have to send "proof of relationship" other than your marriage certificate, the proof they will want to see at your interview -if you get one. Some people claim that if you frontload your application with relationship proof you don't have to do an interview but that's not something that is necessarily true as people have gotten interviews even with a lot of proof about their relationship. So it's up to you We just sent our marriage certificate.
Proof of relationship, shared finances etc. is more for the interview AND the "evidence" that makes up most of your ROC application which you'll be sending of within 3 months of your GC expiring. That's when you'll need it!

I've been a month here and I haven't been able to find regular yogurt at Walmart. there's a big aisle with lots of different kinds, brands and flavors but they are all low fat and taste terrible. I've tried different brands and flavors but no luck. I just don't like low fat dairy products. is there another store we can go to or should just give up hope?
with butter I already kinda gave up. it was hard to find regular butter (no margarine or organic weird butter) and it tastes pretty different but I've adapted, but yogurt is just hard and I'm tires of eating my cereal dry

Yup, then you definitely want the thing called (sweetened) condensed milk (like the one Harpa just posted above) since evaporated milk doesn't have any added sugar.
P.S. Like the link says, condensed milk and sweetened condensed milk are the same thing since the added sugar in condensed milk is pretty much the only difference between it and evaporated milk.
