  1.  Hi all,

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on this site or needed to file.

We would like to apply I 130 for my sister in law. She applied for a visitor visa and was denied right off the bat. I get it, she’s young and didn’t have enough proof for her to go back.
We were warned about it and expected it, but thought just to try.

She will be 21 in October (this year 2023). Anyone have any advice for documentation that will help other then passport, birth certificate and financial proof that can help her case?

Also how does it work if she’s still waiting and she turns 21?

    Thanks in advance!

  2. Hi all,

I’m a little annoyed with a situation and not sure if I should say/do something to USCIS about it or turn a blind eye.
My husband recently became a citizen, he has a ‘friend’ who married a citizen overseas. They moved to the states, had 2 kids, but seemed to be struggling financially. Not sure about that one.
Fast forward a few years, he applied for his 10 year  and still waiting. The wife and kids went back to their original country in the spring (wife was born in the states but raised overseas that’s how she has US citizenship) and the husband is here working to save money.
He asked us if he can temporarily change his address to ours until he finds a more permanent place to live. We said ok.

Not sure if that was wise. He found a place, actually renting a room, he’s asking for the lease to be in his name and his wife, even though she’s not here!

But his address with the DMV is ours.
I don’t think he’s planning on changing it, but it’s starting to make me uncomfortable,  Not only that, but I feel it’s taking advantage of the system!!!

We did everything by the book during the visa, green card and citizenship process.
I don’t know if immigration do random visits anymore, if they do I plan on telling the truth.
But I just don’t need to be in trouble, know what I mean?

    What do you all think?
    TIA!!!

    Hi all,

It's been a while since I've been on here. My husband is looking to file for the N-400 process, I hear now you can file online vs mailing everything in.

I'm trying to figure out where to begin, what documents we need to gather.

I'm assuming it's similar to the process of removing conditions, as far as the documents

I tried to see if I can find an updated forum on this topic, but I didn't find anything.

If anyone has any advice, I greatly appreciate it!!

    Thank you!

    Hello,

I'm trying to help my cousin who is currently here in the states with a student visa. Unfortunately it will expire soon. My question is, is it possible to renew a student visa while here? Or no? I'm not exactly sure how they work.

He spoke to a lawyer, the lawyer told him if he leaves once it's expired obviously he can't come back. Also told him that once it expires he probably should stay and finish. That made me confused because isn't that illegal??

    Thanks in advance.

We were concerned about the same because my husband had to get some vaccines. Check with the county you live it. We have a department of health that offers lower cost vaccines. Before we went there, I checked on the USCIS site and called SOOOO many places. I found a doctor that charged a lower fee to do the paper work, and suggested to ck with our local health department in our county. We did that, and took the proof for the vaccines and he completed our paperwork.

    Good luck!

I'm glad someone asked this question because I was wondering myself. My husband came through with a K1 visa, of course we got married, and did his AOS. About a month and half we got an RFE (the medical vaccines were missing), we completed the information and sent it back. We just got a letter this Monday that his status was approved and should be getting his greencard within 3 weeks. We are both confused because we were under the impression we had to go to an interview process and then they would determine if it's approved or not.

When it comes in his hand I guess I'll believe it....

If they only asked for vaccines then that's all you need to do. Some civil surgeons will telly ou you must have a new medical but check what the RFE says. Mine specifically states Parts 1,2,4 & 7 which is just vaccinations. Took a while to find one who'd do it without charging for a new medical as well.

His RFE is requesting the same. I just called around and asked. A lot of offices won't give out that info, I called a lot of places, but finally my luck I had 2 give me the same info.  My understanding is that he needs 3 vaccinations.

MMR, Tetanus, and Influenza. The one also for chickenpox's, is required, but if they had that as a child, it's fine they don't need it.

    Hi Everyone,

My husband is current waiting for his AOS. We recently got an RFE for the medical vaccine part only to be completed. Before his interview in his country, he had everything done except the Vaccine part. I'm not sure why they didn't do that for him.  Anyway we are missing that part. My question is, which vaccinations are required. I can't image he needs all of them that's on the list, but then again I could be wrong.

He is 30 years old. He didn't bring any records with him either.  I called around and some doctors offices told me he needs all of them, some say he needs just 3 (MMR, Tetnus, and influenza).

Anyone had a similar situation or can advise?! Thanks in advance!
