  1. Has the father lived in the US at least 5 years?

He will need to apply for CRBA for the baby and apply for US Passport at the same time.

    Read the link below

    https://kh.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/child-family-matters/birth/

Not sure how long cambodia takes, but our CRBA in Indonesia took about 8 weeks from interview to receiving the passport. 2-3 weeks of that was having to DNA test. Time would have been shorted if we didn't need to do the DNA test

Hello everyone! Just wanna know if there’s a way on speeding up the case? We filed our k1 visa and received our noa1 last april 11,2018. Up until now there’s still no response for noa2. My fiancé had recently visited me here in the Philippines from May 1- August 21,2018. And blessedly, we are having a baby. I am now 11 weeks pregnant. Our concern is, I need to go to USA before I reach 36 weeks Aog. I want to give birth in US with my fiancé. So do you have idea if there’s a way that we can speed it up? If none, until when will we wait? I will really appreciate for your response! Thank you so much and have a good day!

One thing to consider is health insurance. Delivering a baby in the US is not cheap and a lot of insurance carriers won't add fiancee's to policies. If your plan is to marry soon after you arrive and then get added to insurance soon after that, that should work. But, that's a lot to do in a short time frame considering you don't have NOA2 yet.

I got a copy of NOA of 18 months extension letter in white paper in mid-August. The notice date is shown as 8/6/2018 but I haven't got the official notice yet as of 9/20/2018.

Is this normal? Or should I call uscis to send me the official copy again if there's a chance it's missing?

If you have the 12 month ext letter, I wouldn't worry about the 18 month until closer to the time your 12 month is about to expire. Not sure it's worth the time or aggravation of calling now.

Haven't recevied my 18-month-extention letter just yet.

But we have been having issues with our UPS PO box, as in mail getting lost. So I was wondering if I would call USCIS, can they tell me if they have sent it and it just got lost or hasn't been sent yet; or do they not have access/care about giving out that information?

I'm still waiting for my biometrics appointment. I called the customer service last week and they said the system was down so they couldn't check my case status. It seems like there are a lot of technical problems at CSC. I guess that's one of the reasons it takes to long to process our application. I called them again today and my biometrics appointment still hasn't been scheduled. They told me to send a follow-up email. Did anyone try to do so? Any luck? Can anyone check case status online?

Are you aware CSC is currently taking 17-21 months to process ROC? If you are this anxious now, you are going to drive yourself crazy over the 12-16 months.

  6. Has anyone traveled with the extension letter but wasn't asked to show it when returning to the US?

My wife and I have traveled internationally 3 times with her expired GC and extension letter. On two different occasions, she wasn't asked to show her letter.  When I look in the I-94 Travel History page, both of those trips shows the departure but not the arrival.

The third trip she was asked for the extension letter upon our return, the travel history shows both the departure and arrival.

  8. I checked the travel history. Here's what's interesting, we took in cruise in May and same thing happened when we returned. CBP didn't mention that her GC was expired and didn't ask for the 12 month extension letter. On the travel history page, it shows the departure but not the arrival. We took a trip to Asia between that trip and this last one and the history page shows both the departure and arrival.

I find it odd that the two times they didn't ask for the letter, neither are showing the arrival.

I went to walmart today for job orientation and I was told  they don’t recognize the letter so I should leave and they will call me back, because they have to verify the extension letter or I should go and wait till I get the card.

Explained myself and explained everything but still, I show them my drivers license which is not expired, still they said they will call me back.

    Am comfuse.

Ask them if they are familiar with the Anti-Discremantion Notice at the very top of the I-9

CBP & DHS know she returned to the US via the flight manifest. They get all the passenger data that way.

You can also look up her records here:

    https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home

I just checked my wife's, and her recent trip home was there. You will just need to enter your wife's name, DOB, and passport #.

Thanks for the info. I just checked the link and it shows her departure but not her return yet. Maybe it takes a day or two to update. I'll check again in a few days.

    Thanks again

  11. My wife, two boys and I returned to the US today from Mexico. My wife traveled with an expired green card and 12 month extension letter. We all have Global Entry and our boys always get the "X" because their fingerprints don't register. We we went the CBP officer, he seemed a little annoyed that their fingerprints didn't register and took forever to clear them. He then scanned my passport with no issues. I can't recall if he scanned my wifes GC or not but he didn't even mention the card was expired and didn't ask for the 12 month extension letter. He just gave us our passports back and sent us on our way.

Now I'm wondering if he entered her info correctly and shows that she actually returned to the US.

When we returned from another overseas trip in July, the CBP officer asked to see her letter, took her picture, fingerprints, etc. None of that happened on our return today.

Again, my fear is he didn't process her properly and doesn't show that she returned. Think this is a possibility and anyway to check?

I saw someone in a I-751 Facebook group comment on the fact that their letter was white versus green and indicated something along the lines that a green letter is the "original" and a white letter is a "copy." Does anyone know anything about this? My original 12 month letter was green and my extension letter was white.

They went on to say that their attorney receives the green and they received the "copy"/white version and was worried about her upcoming travel without the "original" document. Is this just internet paranoia I can ignore? I didn't use an attorney and received a green letter.

Double check you 18 month extension letter. It's most probably just a notice stating that the "official" 18 month letter is being mailed. At the very top does it say "this notice does not grant and immigration status or benefit"?

on Saturday, my husband received his notice that the 18 months extension letter will be mailed to him. I find it funny that instead of just sending the official 18 months extension letter, they send a letter stating that an official letter will be mailed.

My wife received this same letter on Saturday. Made me scratch my head too. I think I might have even laughed and rolled my eyes.
