Just got my EAD and AP combo approval today. Now the waiting game for 485 is next

really hope this process goes by quicker than K1 Visa.

Good question! I saw in the I-485 where we could request a SSC but opted to go to Social Security directly since we thought that would move faster and we would have the new card in hand sooner. If you already requested yours through the I-485 it will probably be best to wait for them to process your submission. I hope this helps!

Congrats!!!

They will email you. My case was ready on the 5th of August and I didn’t receive email from them until the 20th. The email shows how to submit forms, what to bring, etc. 
‘You can email them directly if you haven’t heard from them. Just send your case number and tell them it’s in Ready status

yes that’s correct. I got the same exact message I honestly think it’s automated. Because once it’s ready it’ll say your case is ready for when you schedule your interview. 

@SP1988 I think you should use the one directed by your embassy 

@SP1988 wait till it says ready once it says ready in ceac case tracker you can create your account via portal ustraveldocs
 
amd there you can make the payment to your visa 
you can also schedule your consular interview via that account 
now for the medical I’m not sure how they operate in Colombia. I know in Dominican Republic you don’t need an appointment you can just show up to an embassy approved medical facility and they’ll help you that same day.

@SP1988 did you submit a public inquiry at the NVC 
that’s how I was able to get my case number from them 
I was persistent I sent 2 inquiries once a week
on the second try they gave me my case number 

My lawyer said email…

What can you do once you have a case number??

By sending inquiry by email, they often respond by email as well.

Wait for case number which can be sent to you either by mail or email. The best way would be you or your beneficiary send Public Inquiry to NVC at day 30th after your NOA2 to keep updated about your petition and keep doing so for every 15 days o so till you got case number from them. After that, all will be done by your beneficiary in the country when she will have  an interview for K1 visa.
