I just flew out of NAIA yesterday to ICN and onto US an I was not required to have any results. Obvisouly this will change soon as the US as of Jan 23 will require all people coming into the US to have a negative PCR test within 3 days. Which is going to be pretty hard to do.

    Jordan

Thanks for the re-assurance, Jordan! We're flying tomorrow!

  2. Has anyone departed Philippines recently? I am trying to find out if PCR will be required at the airport. I have a delta (Korean air) flight scheduled with layover in Korea. Their site says no PCR required if layover is less than 6 hours. Just looking for others experiences when leaving.

  3. I would just like to add that getting an AKA on the NBI clearance has been difficult for my wife. Unless you have a previous marriage or other names they won't add it. At least that was our experience in Manila (UN Ave). They told my wife it would need to be a request from the embassy and if they added her maiden name as an AKA it would cause problems (and it wouldn't make sense to do so). We have gone to the NBI three times to try to get it and they even had her speak to "someone upstairs". Hoping they don't require it during the interview since all of her names are already listed on the clearance.

  4. Hi All,

Hoping someone can help with advice about getting an interview scheduled for expiring medical.

I did expedite back in August and got approved, but when we did medical we needed to complete sputum test and just received results our results this past week. I tried calling Manila embassy and sent emails to get interview scheduled. I got a reply telling me we're queued since spouse visas are being expedited. Medical expires end of January so this gives us less than 3 months for interview to be scheduled and I am worried if any issues arise with documents or travel. I see in other groups that others in the Philippines are being scheduled for end of Dec right now so at this point it looks like next appts will be in January. Any one have any idea who I can contact to try to get an interview date?

yes, thats true, she didn't do wrong, but usually you do the medical check up after you got your interview date information.

because the medical check up only valid for 6 months and she needs to enter the US before it expired, otherwise you need to re-do the check up.

hopefully you will hear about the date soon. :)

Are you in Philippines? I actually received an email asking if all requirements including medical were completed and to reply once done. At that time they will schedule interview. It may vary by country but it seems that's how things have been going in the Philippines these past few months.

My 6yo asks my wife everyday if they are going to the USA today. Today when they delivered the CEMAR he said "Mama is that the plane ticket?!" She told him no we have to wait for the visa. Haha

How long did it take to receive the document? Did you request it on psaserbilis website?

We need to get the AOM and updated marriage cert. my wife was planning to go to city hall since we're not sure how long they were taking to process and send online request

It appear Manila is going back to GCQ until August 31st, meaning St Lukes should open starting the 19th of August.  So, if you need to book an appointment as soon as the system allows you, I would do it and get it done before August 31st.  The web-site still doesnt allow you to book, but last time Manila was on GCQ St Lukes was open.  Maybe by end of today you can.

You can book on the website now for next week. We just did it yesterday. First available was 8/25
