Suggest you bring a printout of the notice from the embassy website and the reply from the airline in case the guards at the airport aren't privy.
Yep, planning to do that. Thanks again!

I would call the airline. It's usually an airline requirement.
Yep I sent them a message and that’s what they told us, but Korean embassy has contradicting information so I am looking for others experience.

Has anyone departed Philippines recently? I am trying to find out if PCR will be required at the airport. I have a delta (Korean air) flight scheduled with layover in Korea. Their site says no PCR required if layover is less than 6 hours. Just looking for others experiences when leaving.

You got approved. What is the final verdict on AKA?
They accepted her clearance and didn’t even mention the AKA.
I saw some others mention that it isn’t needed for first marriages as long as no discrepancies on birth certificate and no other names.
hope this can be of some relief to others

No you are fine. Congratulations on getting the interview. Almost done. Report back when done.
Had our interview today and we’re approved! Finally...
They said the visa should be issued before new year but how do we know when the visa is ready for pickup at 2go?

Did you sign up through here?
Not sure, I believe my wife registered on the website and then someone contacted her for additional information. Thanks for the link, will double check.

You can take GCP class from CFO without a visa. My wife took it today and we haven't had our interview yet.
We tried pushing to take the class before visa. asked multiple times but that said we need to have visa first.

I would just like to add that getting an AKA on the NBI clearance has been difficult for my wife. Unless you have a previous marriage or other names they won't add it. At least that was our experience in Manila (UN Ave). They told my wife it would need to be a request from the embassy and if they added her maiden name as an AKA it would cause problems (and it wouldn't make sense to do so). We have gone to the NBI three times to try to get it and they even had her speak to "someone upstairs". Hoping they don't require it during the interview since all of her names are already listed on the clearance.

Hi,
My wife will have her interview this month for IR-1 at the Manila embassy. I believe the NBI clearance is supposed to be issued within 6 mos and it was at the time was uploaded to CEAC. The clearance will be just over 6mos old at the time of interview. It still has a valid until date of 6/2021. Do we need a to request a new clearance? Thanks

After sending multiple emails and a call to the embassy we got our interview scheduled for Dec 18. It would have been nice to spend Christmas in the US but I'm sure we all found out you can't rush these things.
I was worried we were going to cut it too close to medical expiring but this should give us enough time.

Are you still at the NVC stage? How were you able to get the medical completed without your interview letter/email?
No. After we expedited we received an email from the embassy asking if medical was completed and to reply once done for interview schedule.

Hi All,
Hoping someone can help with advice about getting an interview scheduled for expiring medical.
I did expedite back in August and got approved, but when we did medical we needed to complete sputum test and just received results our results this past week. I tried calling Manila embassy and sent emails to get interview scheduled. I got a reply telling me we're queued since spouse visas are being expedited. Medical expires end of January so this gives us less than 3 months for interview to be scheduled and I am worried if any issues arise with documents or travel. I see in other groups that others in the Philippines are being scheduled for end of Dec right now so at this point it looks like next appts will be in January. Any one have any idea who I can contact to try to get an interview date?

yes, thats true, she didn't do wrong, but usually you do the medical check up after you got your interview date information.
because the medical check up only valid for 6 months and she needs to enter the US before it expired, otherwise you need to re-do the check up.
hopefully you will hear about the date soon.
Are you in Philippines? I actually received an email asking if all requirements including medical were completed and to reply once done. At that time they will schedule interview. It may vary by country but it seems that's how things have been going in the Philippines these past few months.

did your wife do the medical check up before she get the interview schedule?
We’re not scheduled for interview yet. I do believe you need to complete medical before they will schedule interview

Hi, Anyone complete medical and get scheduled for interview in Manila recently? My wife will finally complete medical next week after waiting 2 month sputum results (hopefully we’ll receive good news). Just wondering what the wait times look like for interview after medical these days.
thanks!

My 6yo asks my wife everyday if they are going to the USA today. Today when they delivered the CEMAR he said "Mama is that the plane ticket?!" She told him no we have to wait for the visa. Haha
How long did it take to receive the document? Did you request it on psaserbilis website?
We need to get the AOM and updated marriage cert. my wife was planning to go to city hall since we're not sure how long they were taking to process and send online request

It appear Manila is going back to GCQ until August 31st, meaning St Lukes should open starting the 19th of August. So, if you need to book an appointment as soon as the system allows you, I would do it and get it done before August 31st. The web-site still doesnt allow you to book, but last time Manila was on GCQ St Lukes was open. Maybe by end of today you can.
You can book on the website now for next week. We just did it yesterday. First available was 8/25

I also just received this email from MANILA embassy but we are supposed to fly to the US this week. If they do contact us can we delay the interview a few months?

My cases show as Ready. They were expedited to the embassy. It says they were updated today. But I've received no email. Its driving me nuts. What was the update?!
May I ask what was your reason for expedite and how long did it take to receive a reply? I requested an expedite a few days ago for the Manila embassy

-
Also maybe a dumb question but is case complete the same as DQ? I apologize I’ve been trying to search and read everything I can

Question regarding DQ to interview. I have been seeing people say they called the US embassy in Manila and received an interview date.
My case was DQd nearly a month ago but I believe status is still at NVC. Would the embassy have any record if I were to call?
-
Can I please ask how you can request to expedite?
I just saw the post that they are prioritizing spouses. My daughter and I were planning to leave within the next two weeks but if we can expedite and stay together it would be a huge help. I know there are probably many with similar situations but I figure it’s worth a shot.https://ph.usembassy.gov/faqs-phased-resumption-of-routine-visa-services/
