pherNfer got a reaction from Springleaf in Georgia Driver's license expiring; I-751 pending
We are in Georgia and my husband was issued a driver's license that expired on the one year anniversary of his NOA1 when he received his extension letter after filing his application for lifting conditions (not his green card expiration). So his GA DL expires 7/10/18 but his green card is extended until 9/29/18. Evidently that's how they do it here. Just wanted GA filers to know "Now, any applicant whose driver’s license will expire within 30 days or has already expired can provide the Georgia Department of Driver Services an original I-797, Receipt Notice, evidencing his or her extension of status request is pending with USCIS to obtain a temporary license valid for 120 days from the date of expiration of the applicant’s current license". So he had to pay $50 and now has a paper GA DL that is valid and expires Oct 29.... not sure how they did that math but it should be enough time to get the 10 year Green Card....applying N-400 tomorrow!

We just filed my husband's N-400 online. You have the ability to upload documents directly to your application so have your piles of everything you think you may need ready. Beyond the obvious (marriage certificate, copy of my passport, etc) there is space to upload joint bank account statements, mortgages, photos together, and all your other supportive documentation. They do ask for a 5 year address history (even if you are filing under the 3 year rule) and a 5 year employment history with addresses and dates and the system requires you to make a complete timeline so have exact dates. It also wants exact dates you have been out of the US since you have lived in the US only (so this would be the three year rule if you are applying because you married a US citizen). All in all, the document gathering was tedious but the system worked amazingly well. It auto saves your responses and uploads and lets you go through and re-check everything before submitting. There is a 6MB max on each upload but we found the system struggled with more than 4.5MB. good luck everyone! Still waiting on our lifting conditions...We are EAC17284XXXXX Vermont filers.

Congratulations on your baby! I uploaded them all combined for things like "Amex Statements", but I uploaded (for example) "Amex Statements" and "Car Insurance" as 2 different documents. Hope this helps and good luck!

Out of interest, what did you send? Around a quarter to a third of people are getting RFEs from VSC now.

Agreed! If you do end up needing an InfoPass appt you may also try Greer, South Carolina. It's about 2 1/2 hours from Atlanta (northeast of Greenville). Hopefully you won't even have to worry about it!

Just an update on the new notification system at the USCIS dhs website (the one where you sign up for an account). After you get the notification that your card is being produced, it changes to this notification and they send the card USPS Priority Mail; it only took 4 days from approval to getting the card:
    July 12, 2018
We mailed your card to you. The U.S. Postal Service will deliver it.
You do not need to do anything at this time
The post office will deliver your card to your current mailing address. If your mailing address changes, update your address with us.
If you do not receive your card by August 11, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your card by mail.

From what I understand it generates a wait time for how long it takes about 90% of applicants to get processed through your local office (because no human has looked at you case when you file online, no background check, etc). If you look up case processing time on USCIS https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/  it gives you a huge range. Atlanta right now is 10.5 to 20 months so at 10.5 months 50% of applicants are processed and at 20 months 93% of applicants are processed.

The new MyAccount system is generally accurate, but not 100% accurate. I've seen scattered reports of people saying they weren't notified of any update, but when they logged in there was an update. All that does is make me login to my account 2-3 times a day to see if that's happened to me, which isn't exactly helpful for my sanity.
