As of December 9,2014, my wife got approved from her interview!! I just woke up from a nap after not going to sleep from my graveyard shift and waiting till my wife get to her interview until she gets done (almost 24hours). After all the waiting, mailing this, paying this and that, making this and that, sending this, sending that, our prayers, sacrifices and patience gave fruit! We're so blessed and thankful for all the help I got and guidance from this website! I'm not that active in this forum but surely my prayers are with y'all everyday. Surely, a lot of relief is off from our relationship with this long distance is about to come to an end. Thank you s much guys! I know that God made all thing possible! Even a few minutes of you time every single day is enough for Him. God bless y'all! Thank you! I will try my best to help our co-VJ members if anybody has questions regarding our visa journey.

Yey! Finally! me and my wife kept on asking each other if the IV bill invoiced already? received any mail or what not. Thank God we are moving forward on the step! I don't have too much knowledge to help answer each question here but i'm praying for all of us here that each of us move forward of step soon. Now just waiting for reply of the packages to be reviewed.

I don't think you have to worry about that...And, as far as what USCIS sees, I'm sure that they'll understand. You can, if you like, provide a copy of the W4 showing the instruction to check the single box. Frankly, I ignored it and checked married. At any rate...your income is for 2014. I'm really not sure how you'll proceed with this...somehow, you have to explain why you didn't file taxes for 2013. I recall that you mentioned that your parents claimed you on their taxes - something to that effect...that you were a student. Hopefully, USCIS/NVC won't ask for a co-sponsor based on your present income. You might want to talk to an immigration attorney - though, I would rarely suggest that - but, in this matter, you might to get better info...also, there are forums for filling out the I-864 here on VJ...check it out.

I wish you the very best of luck! Feel free to be in touch in the future. There are many ways to make things work. From what you mentioned, it seemed as though you're being put in a bind. Things like that I don't get along with. I do understand that there are differences in culture. Yet, I get the sense that those who are supposed to be close to you and, those who should be supportive of you and yours, are not as supportive as you would like them to be. That could be their problem. Not sure. Regardless, you have to do whatever it takes to be with your loved one...as long as you truly love her. All else will fall to the wayside. As long as you have pay stubs showing that you earn above the so-called poverty line...then, you should be fine. Best of luck to you!!!

Dude...you have to do what you have to do. If you don't trust anyone who could be a co-sponsor...or think that they will make you beholding...then don't both with them --- even if they're family members. If it's just an imagined sense of things on your behalf...get over it. Anything can be overcome...it's a matter of how you deal with it. If you think that your family will hold you to some ridiculous standard...then, as you said, go with those with whom you can trust. Otherwise...use your current assets...talk to an immigration attorney...make sure that he/she knows what they're talking about...then figure out how to proceed. No need to put yourself at the mercy of others. If that's how it is...tell them to kiss your ###!!!! Who needs them.
