  1. I will say that my experience with LEDs has been highly variable. I have some that last a little more than a few months, and others that last a bit longer. To be honest I had better experience with compact fluorescents.
  2. Ahh, who would have thought. I am certain we will see a major marketing campaign to get more jabs. COVID-19 is on the rise this summer. What to know, how to stay safe https://news.yahoo.com/covid-19-rise-summer-know-140950421.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAMOjwnc4CDWJYNYhXNntpLDtS6B_nBM-_ruNG_qbg33uOhPnN8CumK4COR1no992II8pS6vVJwqMf0ZngXGXb9JaYnX6zicTivkv2nW1cdDBmtcXP65blkJkRa17WtGd0Fw90ai8PEX6FXFLNTjFEea7YHxl8rAWxOj5H7nPG0K1
  3. It looks like her former boyfriend is trying to take advantage of his 5 minutes. Carlee Russell’s ex is ready to find love again, but his attorney won’t let him https://rollingout.com/2023/08/01/carlee-russell-ex-boyfriend-thomar-simmons/
  4. Not really sure this is the story the Right should be hammering. Don't we allow non-citizens to enter the military? Full disclosure, I have not read the new law, but as long as they are not allowing gang-bangers to suit up, I don't think this is such a bad thing. That being said, this is Illinois, so more than likely they will execute this badly.
  5. Hmm, I don't think the Ultra Left Environmental Activists will be happy with this news. As Ford loses billions on EVs, the company embraces hybrids Heads up, hybrid fans: Ford Motor is working on a whole bunch of new hybrid models. “You’re going to see a lot more hybrid systems from us,” CEO Jim Farley said Thursday after the company reported second-quarter earnings that revealed widening losses on its electric vehicles unit. The comments run slightly counter to recent messaging from the Detroit automakers, which have touted the performance and popularity of all-electric favorites as the industry moves to meet EV targets. The hybrid hype, however, falls more closely in line with global hybrid leader Toyota, which has faced criticism for what some saw as resistance to the EV transition. To be clear, Ford isn’t turning away from its much-touted EV push, though it said Thursday that its EV ramp-up may take longer than it had previously anticipated. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/07/28/ford-embraces-hybrids-as-it-loses-billions-on-evs.html
  6. I haven't been following this much, is anything interesting happening?
  7. More progress I guess. San Francisco Shop Owner Attacked Outside Store Slams Crime-Ridden City A frustrated San Francisco shop owner has gained a lot of sympathy on social media after complaining about being punched in the face by a man urinating on his trash can. Peterson Harter, the co-owner of a New Orleans-style sandwich shop called Sandy's in the neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury, published a video on Instagram on Wednesday where he explained he had been assaulted while closing the security gates of his business. "I just got punched in the face by a guy that was pissing on the street...I can't believe I live in a city where people can just piss in the street and punch you in the f****** face and get away with it," Harter, with a black eye, said in the video. He added that he was "fed up" with the city. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/san-francisco-shop-owner-attacked-outside-store-slams-crime-ridden-city/ar-AA1ectGW
  8. "Ridiculous" doesn't even begin to describe the weird responses from the Ultra Left in Old Corrupt Joe's defense. These defenders need to be careful as one of the defenses is to paint Old Corrupt Joe has a hapless rube which seems to run counter to those saying he has no signs of cognitive decline. Defenders Of Joe Biden’s Corrupt Phone Calls Sound Ridiculous It’s a little-known fact that the Bidens are keen amateur meteorologists. So much so that Hunter Biden will often call his dad out of the blue — sometimes even interrupting important business meetings in Dubai with execs of Eastern Europe energy interests — just to chit-chat about the weather. You know how it goes. Joe’s love of the all-things climate, in fact, had him regularly engaging in “casual conversation” about the “niceties about the weather,” congressman Daniel Goldman explained after Hunter’s business partner Devon Archer reportedly testified under oath that the patriarch of the family had talked to Biden Inc. clientele at least 20 times. https://thefederalist.com/2023/08/01/defenders-of-joe-bidens-corrupt-phone-calls-sound-ridiculous/
  9. Fitch Downgrades US Credit Rating Amid Fiscal Face-Offs. Here's Why It Matters. "In Fitch's view, there has been a steady deterioration in standards of governance over the last 20 years, including on fiscal and debt matters, notwithstanding the June bipartisan agreement to suspend the debt limit until January 2025," the agency wrote in a commentary on the decision. "The repeated debt-limit political standoffs and last-minute resolutions have eroded confidence in fiscal management." https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/fitch-downgrades-us-credit-rating-amid-fiscal-face-offs-heres-why-it-matters/ar-AA1eEGI2
  10. Hence the need to keep it in the news cycle. The Republicans in the House needs to get off their collective duffs and impeach Joe Biden, the MSM cannot ignore that.
  11. The Biden ‘Brand’: Devon Archer Reveals the ‘Niceties’ of Influence-Peddling The selection of Goldman as the only committee Democrat in the interview was ironic. Goldman was a Democratic staff attorney when the House impeached Donald Trump in 2019 largely on the basis of a single telephone call to the president of Ukraine. Now, however, Goldman is calling for an immediate cessation of any further investigation, in an almost comical display of denial and deflection. Goldman helped demolish Biden's long-standing defense in another hearing just a week earlier. In an effort to defuse the testimony of two IRS whistleblowers, who said Hunter received special protection from their criminal investigation, Goldman tripped the wire and elicited testimony that Joe Biden may in fact have spoken with his son about foreign dealings — something the president has denied for years. https://themessenger.com/opinion/the-biden-brand-devon-archer-reveals-the-niceties-of-influence-peddling
  12. I am not really getting excited over any potential prosecutions, but I am not going to let it stay hidden.
  13. Hmm, a large bank canceling accounts and they are not legally able to give a reason. When it walks like a duck... It has been my experience that banks bend over backwards for really large clients, so I wonder what larger depositor is driving this? I hear Pfizer is coming out with some more stuff to treat the "long Covid".
  14. To think the WaPo used to be respected. My how they have fallen.
  15. R.I.P. Pee Wee. He certainly had a rollercoaster career.
  16. Seattle has a similar issue of course. Explosion at large encampment near Seattle hospital may have been targeted attack A homeless encampment that exploded and burned outside Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Friday is being investigated as a targeted attack. The encampment is also being rebuilt in the exact same spot as of Monday, just days after the initial blaze. Located within 200 feet of the hospital's main entrance, the encampment erupted into flames early Friday morning with explosions visible from traffic camera video of the fire. On Monday, a new tent had been set up in the ashes of the fire, as well as what appears to be a video surveillance system attached to a tree to monitor the front of the tent. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/explosion-at-large-encampment-near-seattle-hospital-may-have-been-targeted-attack/ar-AA1eiGwm
  17. To be honest, if I were this girls mom, I would get as far away from that toxic family as I can, and I would never let my daughter anywhere near Creepy Joe, or Nasty Jill.
  18. Yes, this whole thing smelled fishy from the beginning. I will give her credit though as it looks like she is owning up to it whereas Smollett is still denying everything.
  19. This all brings to mind a very funny scene from the Holy Grail. Much better than the Bee.
  20. What a joke, but it is the usual suspects, so not surprising as their collective IQs don't add up to 69 on the Wechsler IQ scale. Leftist Senators Call on Garland To Sue the Oil Industry Senators Bernie Sanders, Jeffrey A. Merkley, Edward J. Markey, and Elizabeth Warren have sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland urging him to sue the major fossil fuel companies. The foursome claims, “The actions of ExxonMobil, Shell, and potentially other fossil fuel companies represent a clear violation of federal racketeering laws, truth in advertising laws, consumer protection laws, and potentially other laws, and the Department must act swiftly to hold them accountable for their unlawful actions.” You can be sure that Garland will be all too happy to comply if for no other reason than to provide yet another distraction from the news of the day. Oh, and because of climate change. The July 31 letter states that oil companies have had evidence that fossil fuels play a role in climate change for more than 50 years: https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/lincolnbrown/2023/07/31/leftist-senators-call-on-garland-to-sue-the-oil-industry-n1714976
  21. Oh what a tangled web was woven. Are The DOJ And Hunter Biden Attempting To Commit Fraud In Federal Court? When Noreika questioned Hunter Biden about the $1 million Patrick Ho paid Owasco LLC on March 22, 2018, purportedly for legal representation, the president’s son was cornered. With the government and the defendant both telling the court that money represented fees for legal services, Hunter Biden had to explain how: “I think Owasco PC acted as a law firm entity, yeah.” That’s how Hunter replied initially, but then immediately equivocated: “I believe that’s the case, but I don’t know that for a fact.” Hunter’s hedge was a tell that what he had just told the court was not the truth. But it was imperative that the president’s son caveat his prior statement that his law firm entity was retained to provide legal services for Ho because the judge had made clear that Hunter Biden was under oath and that “any false answers may be used against [him] in a separate prosecution for perjury.” While Hunter’s backtracking may have saved his backside from a perjury conviction, it may well blow up his plea deal because it highlighted that the “Statement of Facts” the government incorporated into the plea agreement contained a near-certain false representation: that the $1 million Patrick Ho transferred to Hunter Biden was “payment for legal fees.” https://thefederalist.com/2023/07/31/are-the-doj-and-hunter-biden-attempting-to-commit-fraud-in-federal-court/
  22. Nothing should be too big to break up, especially the corruption of our elected leaders and high level bureaucrats. The National Scandal That Is Too Big To Break Typically, there are three main entities involved in taking down a politician over a corruption scandal. First, there is the media, which broadcasts the details of the scandal, eroding public support. Second, there is law enforcement, which investigates and, if necessary, presses criminal charges. Third, there is the party establishment, which ultimately abandons the politician as a matter of self-preservation, signaling that it’s “game over.” But what happens when a scandal is so big that the people responsible for breaking it are implicated in it as well? That is the situation which now faces the mainstream media, the federal intelligence bureaucracy, and the Democrat Party. For years, they have all parroted Biden’s lies and created an echo chamber of denial about wrongdoing by the president and his family. Now, with it all beginning to crumple around them, they’re seeing that the downfall of the president spells the end of their own reputations and careers as well. Motivated by self-preservation and in a desperate effort to sustain Biden politically, then, they are doubling down on their complicity in Biden’s wrongdoing by continuing to try to cover it up. As House Republicans investigating the matter have released one bombshell report after another, the liberal media have simply refused to report it, while top intelligence officials have denied any responsibility and Democrat leaders have claimed the whole thing is a farce. https://amac.us/newsline/society/the-national-scandal-that-is-too-big-to-break/
