I am sending my i-129F in the mail tomorrow, can i request expedited process right away? i mean is there a form i should fill out and include in my package ? if not, how do I request expedited process?
I read many successful experiences on this form, where in a month time the USCIS part was successful. My fiancee is living in Syria, a civil war torn country in political turmoil and every extra day she is there can put her life in danger.

quick question, my mother flew with me should i include her boarding passes as well?
-
It was hectic finding a vacation week around my schedule, but I finally set a week in August and purchased flight tickets. I will be filing for the K1 visa when i get back. My question is while there should i obtain any paperwork? get her to sign forms? ect...
I know about the pictures, boarding passes, hotel receipts, ect... But i mean other paperwork

She is Syrian.
Can someone please help me find the official Louisiana State laws for marriage? I keep googling Louisiana marriage laws and i get websites that are not official some of which say 17 is the legal age, others say parents MUST APPEAR to give consent? is a contest form not enough?
-
Watch the laws of her country as well. Some require parental consent past age 18. You need to comply with their laws too or her country might not let her leave to marry you in the US.
Good point, ill check. But I'm certain she will be 18 by the time she gets the visa. I just want to start the process now, we are tired of waiting !!
-
You don't give parental consent as you aren't her father. You will need parental consent from her parents, signed & dated and then add this in with your packet when you are ready to send it off.
Or you can just wait until she's 18
OMG yes i know I'm not the one that fills the consent. Im asking if there is a form that i need to give her father to fill out?
-
So i fill a parental consent with my USCIS application? I don't see a section for it on the I-129F, is there another form?

Sorry if it sounded like we are against you. I understand the situation and going thru the same process as you. Yes, Syria is very dangerous, so dangerous I can't sleep at night sometimes worrying about my fiancee. Ive asked about the hardship wavier and people didn't advise me to go down that route. I want to give myself and fiancée the best chance so I am going to make sure my application is filled to the best possible way. Which city does he live in? want kinda work does he do?
-
First, you can started the process now and included parent of consent of hers if she is still minor according to the law of state where you will married her. Someone had done here before and no problem whatsoever. Secondly, please update your timeline so others can help you correctly. Thank you!
Sorry i didn't understand that. You said i can go ahead and start the application ? Do you have a source for that information ?

Im a US citizen of Syrian origin, Im currently trying to bring my Syrian Fiancee to the US. Here are some things to think about.
1) The US embassy in Syria is closed! so he won't get a visa from syria.
2) Im meeting with my fiancée in Lebanon or Jordan or Turkey, we haven't decided.
3) Seems like sooner or later he is going to have to bribe someone to get out, so just have him do it now and go into one of those countries, go see him there, then apply for him while he waits there.
4) Its a good idea you meet your fiancee in person, this isn't about paper work. its the person you are going to spend the rest of your life with.
5) Best of luck, i know if feels impossible!!! I'm right there with you
-
My fiancé is now 17, can i start the paper work now and based on what I've seen the process might take a year. So by the time she comes here she will be 18 and of legal age to marry? or do i have to wait fro her to turn 18 first?

I suggest getting a joint sponsor. This is not income, it's a loan to pay for schooling.
No you can't use that. They need to see pay stubs, a job letter, your w2's your income taxes. So like the post before you need a co-sponsor. You got that money from the goverment and it must be paid back its not income that was earned on your part. So get yourself a co-sponsor
Will Do. thanks guys
-
Nope because its loans and you can always be denied. You need income not loans. This is a 10 year at the least commentment. You will need a co-sponsor.
But its student loans, medical schools don't allow their students to have jobs and Its not allowed for the loan distributor to deny my student loan. Any medical students had the same situation? I probably can get a cosponsor but would rather not.

Ok last question for today,
I just read that i must submit an affidavit of support in which my income is 125% of the federal poverty limit. I am a medical student with 3 years of school left. Each year i take out enough loans for tuition and living expenses. My loan amount minus tuition is above the 125% federal mark. But question is will this be an acceptable form of income?

Note: Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage
The USCIS now requires that when filing an I-130 for a spouse that you include evidence of a bonifide marriage. They list examples of acceptable evidence as: 1. Documentation showing joint ownership or property; or 2. A lease showing joint tenancy of a common residence; or 3. Documentation showing co-mingling of financialresources; or 4. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, thepetitioner, and your spouse together; or 5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or 6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.
I don't have any of the first 4. Can anyone please explain in greater detail what the last 2 mean?
I will have a legal certified marriage certificate and pictures from the ceremony.

Please refer to the government website for your answer;
