  1. As promised ill keep updating the status of cases RECEIVED on August 31st using the case tracker app. There is a total of 180 K1 applicants with that RECEIVED date (which as some have pointed out gives a NOA1 of about Sep 2nd)

There was major activity today bringing to total approvals to 23/180 but sadly there was alot of RFEs 16 to be exact !

The good news is the processing is moving right along and those with later received dates are speeding closer to a NOA2. hope this helps

  2. Do you mean August 31st date of received? Because I am not understanding how you can see through the app the NoA1 date, I know you can see the date of receive of the petition though. Probably I am wrong, but I am also confused by different sentences in here hehehe

yes date received. but as far as I'm concerned they are only 1-2days apart from NOA1 so I'm treating it the same

What is your date received ?

  3. 16000 cases total between multiple centers.

California is only 1 center, for simplicity of this conversation let's just say California get 1/5 of the load(it is 1 center of the 5 major processing centers), which will be 3200 cases.

Based on tracker scans, I would approximate that K1 only takes up about 5-10%.... so that would be 160-320..... which is approximately what you have counted(180).

Which also means that the USCIS officers must process approximately that many applications per day. I'm sure a lot of verification processes are automated via computer system, yet someone still needs to make that final approval(or denial). It is nuts how many people are involved and how many cases they look through per day....

Well calculated. Yea it really helps me be patient with USCIS seeing how many cases they need to process, its not like they are just sitting there eating donuts and goofing around. They are actually working hard to bring our loved ones to the US.

  4. i posted some time earlier about how many cases and it was a ridiculously high number but i forgot. But i would say they probably pill them up for a few days then mark them as received all at once. maybe maybe not, but i do know for certain there are 180 k1 petitions with that date, i counted.

    I found my original post

    • "USCIS website: USCIS receives and adjudicates approximately 6 million petitions and applications annually from individuals and employers"

Thats 16,000 cases per day !! Hats off to the USCIS you don't get enough love. I'll be patient with you. but the don't say how many are K1 visa

  5. They received 180 i-129f applications on a single day? I wonder how many fiance visa applications do they receive per month...

  6. because i am tracking many case numbers i am using the the date received as my marker. "On August 31, 2015, we received your Form" because there is no way of knowing other peoples NOA1 dates. And for the August 31st received group, out of 180 only two are approved was i have seen. Hope that clarifies my earlier post.

Bottom line, our turn is hopefully coming very soon! hang tight everyone

  7. Hello,

My fiancé and I have received our NOA2 and we are just looking at the requirements for the next stage.

We were wondering, with the i 134 affidavit, would his student financial aid count towards his earnings to add up to the 125% over the poverty guideline? Does financial aid count as a form of income, or is it solely from him job?

Thank you in advance and i apologize if this has been asked before; i looked but couldn't see it!

financial aid does not qualify. Just have a co-sponsor no problem

  8. ahhh ok !!! Yeah it's a little different. For us, from what I understand, I have to wait for the approved petition to arrive at NVC, get a case number,

then they send it to the embassy.

I believe in the instructions from the embassy requires us to pay at that time, complete the DS 260, then my fiance can go for his medical, get his police certificate & then go for interview. My case hasn't been sent to NVC yet, I hope it will go this week. I hope by the end of this month

we get a case # and the documents go to the embassy.

I hope your case completes soon !!!! Keep me posted!

Hey I hope all is well and you process is moving along or finishing up about now. Its hard to find people doing a K1 visa in Beirut so would you be kind as to keep posting new information. I have a few specific questions as well if you can answer them i would greatly appreciate it

    1. what was the first thing you did once you got the case number?

    2. who did you get the medical done with? and how was it?

    3. did it take long to schedule the interview?

    4. is all communication via mail or email?

    5. can you interview in arabic?

    6. after interview how and when did you get the visa?

Thanks!!! and I hope we can continue to communicate, I'm currently expecting by NOA2 next week and praying she can be here by new years.

  9. No, it has always said that. Rely on VJ data because USCIS data is late, bloated, an inaccurate! I see August filers being approved, so you are good.

TSC looks like they only have one person working cases as of last week. CSC is so different.

  10. Oh sorry, I got confused, because the subject of the email said: USCIS Acceptance Confirmation.

And the body read: Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing.

That's why I used the word "acceptance", I just copied what they said, LOL. And I thought NOA2 is the "approval".

Will update my timeline with NOA1 date as today for me to see the estimates. Thanks for the guidance and for welcoming me here. :)

"approval" yea thats right. Sorry i read all that wrong, acceptance = received DUH! lol

  11. Just in!!!

Fiance just forwarded me the USCIS Acceptance Confirmation email. (NOA1 e-notification). Yay, I'm so happy that we heard something already. :) But we won't know the actual notice date until we receive the hard copy in the mail, right? Can we track our status though using the receipt number (WACxxxxxxxxxx)? Or they are still going to assign us a case number?

We are routed to California too. So I assume they no longer follow the service center by state now (or at least for now)? Coz I really thought we are going to Vermont. Oh well, I guess what's important is everything goes smoothly -- which I pray to happen to all of us here. :)

    NOA1 is a ''received' notice

    NOA2 is an "acceptance" notice

So your case was received and yes you can use the WACxxxxxxxxxx to check the status of your case on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Update your timeline so that you can get an estimated NOA2 date (estimated 3-4wk from what i am seeing)

    and WELCOME to the thread

  12. Yes, it would seem that the processing is going faster than average though I won't count my chickens before they hatch. The timeline stats charts estimate it will be nearly 2 months before I get an noa2 however when i enter our noa1 date in our timeline, it is estimating about 3 weeks from now. As long as things don't go too much faster than expected. If she has a visa in hand before middle of november we will have to adjust some plans a little. Hoping to have middle of may be in her 6 month range and then we will have her cone when i get out of spring classes and get married in the summer

You can always slow down towards the end, pick a late interview, delay getting the medical. Its best to get the ball moving all the way until the end because you never know if any hiccups come along the way. hopefully not
