Thank you for that tip. So I will for sure separate all 3 with their necessary documents for each. But are you saying clipping them together is fine? I was going to get 3 1" 3 ring binders and place each (AOS, EAD, AP) in their own binders. Will this cause confusion? Is it better to just clip each group together and stick the loose leaves in a envelope and mail it with the check? I just want to make sure I can knock this out one shot one kill, as I did with the K-1 (I-129F) packet. But again, all that from the previous went into the same binder as it was just the single purpose.

Furthermore, I am curious about the Advanced Parole. I was asked about a specific date on the form? I thought it is just something to have on hand. My husband is in the military and if he deploys, I would like to return home for the duration of that deployment. However, its hard to know this far in advance, when he might deploy. Also, for how long. Any advice on that?

Sorry for such question about the packet and its presentation, as I know they are more of cosmetic questions than hard fact info type questions. But again, I want it to be presented and received correctly. Maybe I can put them all in document protectors, clip them together as you had suggested, and then slide them into the envelope. Skipping the 3 ring binders for such a large submission.

I put them ALL in one binder and have had no issues. Just made a table of contents and put the paperwork in order in the clear sheets in the binder.

We got the text about 6 days after we submitted the paperwork, but I think it was much later before we got the hard copy.

We received 3 letters stating they received all our petitions. Is this considered NOA1 or do we wait until we get the actual papers that say NOA1 and put those dates?

We called NVC Yesterday and they gave us our case number and they said that our papers left to Egypt yesterday, but the problem is when I try to check on the CEAC with the case number they gave us it says invalid application ID OR case number!!

Should we contact them, or is it takes some time of them to update their system with the new case number?

and how the case number looks like is it two letters and 11 number? maybe we didn't get the full number!

Anyone know if my husband can start job hunting and interviewing while waiting for his EAD and if he interviews just tell them he will have his EAD soon and then can start work if they are willing to hire him and wait?

My friend, she's from Indonesia, went to CIS local office in Detroit for biometric and she was lived in Lansing - I have no idea how far it is-. She said it was nice CIS local office. She has her green card now though she filed I-485 only 3 days apart from me.

Oh wow. Detroit is very close to me. Maybe 35 minutes or 40.

Congrats, anyway. The local CIS in Detroit usually conducted interview AoS for K-1 visa which means your husband does not have to wait at least 6 months to get his green card. Many people get potential interview waiver letter have to wait at least 6 months to get approval for green card. My husband has to drive 4 hours to Kendall, Miami, if I had one.

I shouldn't complain lol Detroit can be a bad area. Hopefully the office is in a nicer area of Detroit, if we have to go to the interview. Thanks again

I see it says nearest CIS office for I-485. Is this where the possible interview will take place if it doesn't get waved for AOS? How do I find the nearest office to us? Also, we sent the AOS paperwork today, so, when will we know when we have to do Biometrics?????

Okay, thanks everyone!!! Visaqueires, that's the worry I had. Because my last name is my maiden name on the support paperwork then we send the album then I change my name then we have issues but I guess if kaydee did it and had no issues maybe I will go ahead and change it!

You can opt to change the name whenever you want. It would be better to do it now and get it out of the way. Therefore, whatever forms you fill out for the AOS package should all be in your new married name.

I'm not sure what you mean by your name is in the paperwork for the sponsor. Are you using a joint sponsor?

I've already filled out ALL the paperwork for this and we are sending this album today lol So, I am not going to go back and fill anything else out again because we want to get this out like yesterday hehe No joint sponsor, just me, but my name is on all this paperwork so I just wondered if ANYthing delays this process (by changing my last name while in process) I will be so aggravated.

Hang in there!!! The process is out of your control so it is hard to keep your word when it comes to this. See my timeline; everything went smooth and great for us and I pray it does for you as well. I came here on a K1 and I have been married for only 6months but those 6 months have been hell for me because I have been ill treated by my spouse and teen daughter. I am so drained emotionally that I don't think I can go through the 2 years of conditional green card. My wife is a habitual liar she cheated on my all all through our courtship and lied about it till date. I have the conversation as evidence between herself and this guy and I asked him several times what's up with u and this guy and she kept telling me they have been friends from college back home. When I first came I discovered after sleeping with her 3 weeks later I started feeling some funny sensation in my urinal tract and it feel like I might have contacted something. I asked her if she was with anyone during d courtship and she denied it again. Now I'm even scared to make love to her cos after any love making I feel this itch. I have not found a job yet so I don have money to see a doctor. She refused to change her name to my last name and she refused to put me on her utility bills. She is desperate for a child and I have the feeling she will breakup after she get pregnant cos she says she is better off with out me. She is very untidy and live in denial. She doesn't forgive and she can take the manhood out of a man in seconds with her mouth and she is teaching the daughter who is gm worse in her treatment to me. I have more to say but I will stop here as I'm getting ready for church alone cos she doesn't go to church another lie she told me in the beginning. Plz I want your contribution. My question is if I leave this marriage what probability do I have to succeed in removing conditions on my own? Do I need a lawyer? You should call the HEALTH DEPARTMENT in your city and make an appointment to get checked out. They will work with you as far as money goes. They made me fill in a sheet of paper about my income and the price was based on my income and I did not have to pay right away, they sent me a bill that I pay 20 dollars a month on. Being that you don't have a job, they may not charge you at all.

If all else fails just send different proof. 1040's, W2's, copies of paychecks.............all that. I ordered mine over the phone. I can't remember exactly how many days it took but it didn't take that long but I see you are in a pinch! Good luck!
