  1. hello guys

    - my wife (petitioner) is a student .she is not working , and she receives her check from the government for support every semester .so my questions regarding the affidavit of support are

1- does she allowed to sponsor me?

2- she is not paying taxes because she is student , how she can prove that ? is there any extra form to fill ?or she just can write a statement saying the reason for not paying the taxes

3- i read that for co-sponsor ,we need to fill 2 forms one for her and one for co-sponsor, is it correct ?

4- which form of affidavit of support we need to fill?

5-regarding the co-sponsor , he/she must be from the same state or doesnt matter ?

6-is there any sample how to fill this form

    thanks in advance

Sorry, nothing to do with the post except that I read your profile and it is so sweet. Makes me feel like me and my honey. I met him on Facebook too!!!! Good luck with the rest of your journey :D

  2. I agree with you 100%:thumbs::thumbs: I mean, this is an immigration forum, that's what we're all doing here, immigrating in one way or another, visiting families, moving, etc. That comment was extremely judgemental and ridiculous on so many levels, and as if it's anyone else's business when someone brings a family member to visit or immigrate........it's so annoying!!!

THANK YOU! :D A lot of people on this website are SO RUDE. My gosh...........I wish they would get a heart.

  3. I think by the time he will get his green card it would be like a year or so being in the US . So his mum can apply for a tourist visa if he wants her to stay with him for a while.I have some friends have done that .Most of the time the embassy will give the mother a 5 years visa .She can stay with him for up to 6 months before she has to go back to Egypt .

I am the one who would like her here (to live) more so than him. I don't know if she could handle the plane ride over by herself just for a visit. So, are you saying he can apply to get his mum here after he gets his Green card or after he is a citizen???? I really appreciate your reply :)

  4. He's not even a LPR yet and he's thinking about bringing his mother over?

What's wrong with that?!!! AND I am thinking about it with him! I love his mum. What the hell is wrong with that? GEEZE, some people are SO RUDE on here. It's his MOTHER and I consider her my MOTHER TOO. Don't even comment if you have something RUDE to say, FOR REAL. Getting so fed up

  5. Hello vj,i got on usa with my k 1 visa, everything went really good until the ssn card arrived home at me. Me and my fiancee went to file for my ssn after the 3 day i was here, everything went good at the office there and i was said i m gonna get it within 2 weeks.

Like 2 days after that, the neighboor came to our door and said, this card is yours but my husband checked our mail and it was on our mail and without seein it he opened it.I was like why would he open someone s elses mail tho?

She said he thought it was our mail since it was on our mail , and without seein it whose was it he opened it she said, and she had on her hand just my ssn card, and asked me if i need even the envelope , i said of course i need everything that was in it too , even the envelope, she said there was nothing else except the card of ssn,

Please anyone give me some adivice what should i do about it,we r plannin on getting married soon and file my aos,but this came up now.

I don t know if they opened it on purpose or just it was a mistake,i met even her husband and said to him why did u open my mail dude.he said man i thought it was mine and i would not mess with ur stuff, everything is cool man don t worry he said, honestly i don t like those people not good people but i don t know what to do.thank u'

Yeah, I don't think they sound like the type who will try to steal your identity or anything. Sometimes people just grab their stack of mail and start opening. They would so be caught if your identity was stolen because you could easily say, well, my neighbor opened my mail. I wouldn't worry

  6. Hello dears,

wish you all the best in your journey..

my question is that my fiancee annual income( the formal checks ) doesnt reach the guideline because she works as a nail tech and most of her money is in cash as tips ,so her total income passes the guideline..so any ideas how to prove that ? or do we still have to find a co-sponsor ?

** another question about the household , my fiancee lives in her mom's house. her mom own the house and she lives financially independent of my fiancee..my fiancee also has one daughter lives with her and has a son who lives with her sister and her sister affords his all expenses ,so will he still be counted ? and how to prove that her sister takes care of him financially ?

    Thank's in advance

LOL I emailed your woman about this. I figured they wouldn't count her son as a dependent because on the I-134 sheet it asks if you pay to support them. Maybe Bakemma knows better about this. So, does she have to include her mom a dependent too Bakeema??????? If she can't prove well the tip income I would definitely just do a co-sponsor to be on the safe side. If you guys got denied for being short on income, it will make the process longer

  7. Don't believe everything you read! A lot of people say a lot of things on here and not all of it is true! The law requires that you make 125% of the poverty level for your household size. They can't require you to make more than that. And they certainly can't require it if you already make well above that.

Thank you very much. If I remember, I will post how the interview goes here

  8. Yes because they look at your overall situation. They take into consideration things like the person's health, age, education, etc. For example, when you petition a much older parent they would need extra reassurance that they won't go public assistance like medicaid or ssi due to their age and/or health. They look at wether or not the person can continue to work for x amount of years and things like that. If your and your fiances overall situation looks good, then your fiances visa shouldn't be denied based on support. I wouldn't stress it at all and good luck on your journey!

Ok, awesome. Everything checks out then :D Thanks for the reassurance, I really appreciate it!

  9. yea that was for my visa and this crashed was Wednesday I paid day before . and it should be changed soon ? it's accepted now ? so it should be changed to something else or it will change after I go to usa ? or it will change but the web site crashed so they have problems ? I should have approval notice ?

Oh my gosh. My fiance has been struggling with this stupid profile. He is working on it AGAIN right now. How was it so easy for you? :( Do you know, does he HAVE to pay the fees through this website or can he just pay at his interview? I emailed the Embassy to ask this question too.

If we need help with this will you help him?

  10. My husband knew his. Tell your husband go to his local post office and ask It's just an idea.I remember the days when him and I was so crazy, sad angry and Frustrated :ranting: The process can take while but in the end TOGETHER <3

You guys had to do this stupid profile? It says it just started in July. We STILL haven't figured this thing out and he has been trying to call the support line and can't get through to anyone! This stupid profile is the only thing we have left to do before his interview and you HAVE to print two copies of the confirmation page AND he can't get through or figure out the page!! :ranting:

  11. Do you mean Eid Holiday?

What is EID? All I know is that my fiance said it's Easter

Let us know how it goes

Will do!!! On Thursday I will print pictures and make a few more copies of some things and send it to him the fastest I can, without it costing an arm and a leg ugh
