Jamie & Izzy got a reaction from elmcitymaven in Anyone Happy they Moved to the USA?
The Important thing is to be with your loved ones no matter where, My husband and i been were together in like 5 countries so far but it really does not matter as long as i am with him.
I already been to the us in total of 8 month and like i said as long as we are together that all that matter

My Husband and i try to have some kind of a Routine together ,we use Skype as soon as he comes from work then we watch something together over Skype or Play World of Warcraft basically try to have as much fun as we can ,then we fall asleep while Skype/cam is on so we always can see what's going on and i can see when our dogs are misbehaving and i tell on them rest of the time its Whataspp or Facebook like when his at work...
It does help but nothing like the real thing
We also try to visit each other every 3 month but we cannot afford doings that anymore *sigh*
Hope this all will be over for us soon!

As much as I'd love that.. we kinda screwed around living in each others country last year... now we're both pretty much unemployed... this process seems even tougher when you're broke as a joke! I'm worried about the affidavit of financial support.

That sounds nice.. I hope someday my husband and I can get on some kind of routine, I'm planning on buying a car and going for a 3 month visit in 39 days! (pending I can provide enought evidence to the border people that I WILL come back to Canada!)
I guess it could be worse.. at least we're a 20 hour drive away. We are both in very poor spots in our lives.. hopefully that will turn around soon!

We skyped all the time and played video games together. Try Portal 2. It has a cool cooperative mode.
You can also get a hobby, go to the gym, etc...

Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC!
Before posting questions, please read the wiki I wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it
For up to date time frames, you can view my spreadsheet here. If you would like to be added (or have your entry updated), then please fill out the form here (please read the instructions at the top carefully, especially the update part as people aren't filling the form out correctly [they're filling out information not needed]).
P.S. I will be much less active in reading (and thus answering) posts in these monthly threads, so don't bother asking me questions directly. Just post them here for everyone to see and someone will come along to answer. Remember to be patient
Good luck to all! (And congratulations now on all the progress that will be made this month!)
Edit: If you want to see a visual of the NVC process, please view my flowchart here.

Jamie & Izzy reacted to Yassine Fatima in CR1 interview experience
Hi Folks ! here is my CR1 interview experience in casablanca/ Morocco !!
I won't go into great depth as I'll be just repeating the many reviews already submitted.
My appointment was scheduled for April 1st / 8.00am and I arrived at 7.15 am ! Just as I walked up, the security guard said : all Immigrant visa Applicants appointments form a queue over there. So I joined that queue! we were about 3 people, but by 7:45 the queue had already quadrupled!
At 8:00 am the security guard let me straight through after checking my interview letter ( to verify if my name exists in the list of that day Interviews) , and then through the metal detector (checking for weapons I suppose LOL ) ,. after the security check I walked all the way round the consulate to get inside. Once inside , I went through a window where a Moroccan young lady asked for my passport , interview letter and 2 photos ! then they ushered me through !!
Once I was inside the building, there was another check point , I went through the stationary detector , and the security officer asked if I had anything to declare ( cell phone , laptop …) , so you’d better not to bring anything extra , just your paperwork and yourself
After that , I went into a large room with about 7 windows for people to conduct interviews , About 40 mins later my name was announced by a Moroccan lady to come to window 1 !!! she was veeeery nice and friendly , she returned some of the NVC and Original docs and asked me to give her all my NEW docs and phone number , then she asked If I had already traveled abroad ! where ? when ? and for how long ? is this our 1st marriage ? and which language I would love my interview to be in ? !! she then said to have a seat and I would be called for finger printing later . Oh and then with a huuuuuuge smile she wished me good luck!
After 10 mins , I was called for fingerprinting , and I sat back down again !! my name was re-announced after 15 mins for the actual interview ! the CO was a very sweeeeeeet , adorable American lady , Made me swear I was telling the truth, then asked me few questions :
how did you meet?
How did he immigrate to the USA? And when ?
What does he do?
Has he ever visited after marriage ?
When did you get married?
Have you ever had trouble with the police LOL ?
What does he do in his free time !! hhhh I expected that Question !!!
Was out of there by 10: 15 am !! the interview was very smooth , pleasant and so much easier than I expected ! I really couldn't have hoped for a better experience !! And I can't believe that we have been APPROVED! yaaaaay

Jamie & Izzy reacted to Zen Den in Really?
congratulations! and i apologize because unfortunately many members here on VJ like to play consul that they give not advice but judgments about you as if they know you well. good thing you trusted your gut and stayed honest about your mistake. consul officers are there because they are trained to investigate the truth. some vj members just want to mess up with your head.

I think that we may need to create one for January, and August is probably coming up next.
Putting this here as a reference for anyone who is looking for the spreadsheets. I'll update the post as needed.
Btw, perhaps we can come up with a master spreadsheet that combines all of this info?

Jamie & Izzy reacted to dwheels76 in visa on hand! but USC husband doesnt want us to leave!
WOW so we are advocating that the VISA is the golden ticket and whether the US citizen wants you or not come on over because well it’s okay really.
Do we even know the whole story? Sorry to play devil’s advocate here. But I have issue with someone saying “I have my own money and I have friends in US”. So what bump the US citizen who is on the hook for your butt. Seems you already have your plan laid out and could careless whether he “comes around” or not. Really?
If this was a K1 person and they said he or she broke up with me but I am coming (It was posted here 2 weeks ago). She was jumped on with all 4’s . How dare she come here when she wasn’t wanted. Why would she come if she wasn’t wanted. Yet here you go promoting someone come here, live where they want, do what they want.
I thought it was a spousal Visa. Meaning you are coming to live with the spouse.
A visa should be the LAST thing you should be focused on. Your marriage should be first and foremost. Damn the Visa. Good grief.

Jamie & Izzy reacted to belinda63 in visa on hand! but USC husband doesnt want us to leave!
Where will you live? How will you make money? What will you do when you land in the US?
Better to work on your marital problems than hop on a plane to the US with a toddler and nowhere to go and no money to eat.
