Remember how much communication had to go on to have the LDR? Well keep it up. Honest communication builds trust and respect. Do what you need to do to make sure that communication is there and try to trust each other and your love for each other.
There was some really heartfelt moments in our wedding ceremony that I still think about because as we all know, this journey isn't easy and just because you move, it isn't over. This isn't verbatim, but it's the general idea along with my own thoughts at the moment: A marriage is always an unfinished painting but more lovely with each layer that's added. So when you're not sure, look at your ring. When you need a reminder, look at your ring. When life is hard and you may not want to try anymore, look at your ring. Why? Because that ring is the physical embodiment of the commitment you swore to uphold to that other person and them to you. I wouldn't care if the ring was made of tinfoil, it was the fact that he put it there, with all his heart, to love me for better or worse, in sickness and in health, through the good times and the bad, for exactly the person I am and will be. I made the same commitment to him. I love him for all of the things that make him who he is. That doesn't mean he's perfect, but then neither am I.
Talk to each other, don't spy on each other.

If they asked for a drug test at Knightsbridge you must have admitted smoking it in the past. So admitting previous drug use AND THEN testing positive for it does not bode well for you.

I quite enjoy the idea that I'm a ticking time bomb. Should ensure he makes me tea every morning, just in case.

Unfortunately, I have seen this over the years... When there is a big backlog, they start to process the most recent files mind-blowingly fast to manipulate the numbers so it shortens the posted wait times... I have a feeling that there are going to be a few more of these "anomalies " in the coming weeks (so the wait times drop on paper) before they start working on the backlog I earnest. Yes, it sucks and it NOT fair in the slightest and Should,not be done! But it is how the system disfunction's currently.
The silver lining is that after they clear some super "short termers" getting approved they start to make real progress on the older cases... These anomalies are usually a predecessor for real progress...
Now, Don't hate on the applicants, it's just one of those luck of the draw things and Should not diminish the support they receive from this VJ community.

greenivy, congratulations on your quick approval. Over my years here I have seen a few cases like this - and during my own visa journey there were a few instances. Upon investigation, it turns out that when USCIS is training new staff they will often just grab a petition/application from the most recent applications received that haven't yet made it to an adjudicator's desk. They aren't trying to circumvent the waiting time, just that those are the applications that are just coming up from the mail room and are readily available. It looks like they are training new adjudicators right now so there are going to be a number of petitions/applications processed quickly, and as we have a large membership here on Visa Journey, it is not surprising that some of these quick approvals will go to our members.
Is it fair? Nope. Is it frustrating? Absolutely. Is there anything you can do about it other than wish the beneficiary of this largess congratulations? Not likely. Many people - including me - have complained to USCIS about this over the years, and yet, it still happens.

My interview is next month, 131 days from our NOA2 date.

I may be veering toward needing some tin-foil millinary but having been fortunate enough to be able to visit my fiancee a number of times in recent months I seem to have accrued a rather impressive collection of TSA "We checked your bag" cards. Of my last eight flights I have had my case searched five times.
Has anyone else noticed this, or am I just lucky?
