aslam khan got a reaction from Gaspari in N400: No Biometric appointment letter?
    Hi,

So I applied N400 on Oct 1 and my case completion date shows 3 months, but meanwhile its been 14 days i didn't receive any letter for biometric appointment. This gave me idea how accurate the case completion time is? Can you please tell me when i am expecting to get the biometric letter. Appreciate your help thanks

Call USCIS say “info pass” and ask for a tier 2 officer to update you on status of your case.

3 months would be amazing but unfortunately I think that is highly unrealistic. I haven't seen any case completion in 3 months (not saying I've seen it all). Did you file online? If so you will most likely receive your biometrics appointment date via online before the paper copy. You chan check the current processing times on the USCIS website. I am unsure which service center you would be at but if you are in NYC the wait time is 17-33 months. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ Also, when we filed we were given an estimated wait time but every few months it changed. Now that we are past what we were originally quoted the website says something like we are taking longer to process your case than expected . Don't forget there are many external factors that come in to play such as if there are cut in work force or office closings.

Well, I applied 5 months and a half ago and still waiting for the biometric appointment. I guess you have to be more patient.

Where are you filing from? You can download your case snapshot when you login to your USCIS account and click under documents tab.

You can submit a request under a FOIA ("Freedom Of Information Act"). Go to this page and start the process online:

aslam khan got a reaction from Venus201320 in Can I apply N400? 4 year in USA on Spouse visa
    Hi,

I married to USC, seven years ago, came to usa in dec 2015. Last year, my wife took restraining order against me and we stayed away from each other for one year as we both need some time. Now we are together but still living in different state. I find work in different state and she is completing her school in different state, but now we are seeing each other regularly and planning to move together once her school finish.

Last year i didnt apply as we are not seeing each other and also restraining order but now we are seeing each other, i am supporting her financially, everything is healthy for married life.  Can i apply for citizenship now under three year rule? Please advice.

    Thanks

The bolded text above is what disqualifies you from applying for citizenship at this moment under the 3 year marriage rule. As NikLR stated you will have to wait 5 years from when you became a permanent resident. There is a calculator that tells you when you can apply based on your residence since date that is at this link: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator. For example, if your resident since date on your green card states Dec 15, 2015, you will enter Dec 15, 2020 on the calculator which says you can file as early as Sept 16, 2020. Also keep in mind that you should wait 2-3 days after you are eligible if you are applying online as others have incurred issues applying online the same day they are eligible. Hope this helps.

    Hi All,
Today my status changed to "ISSUED". I wanted to share this good news with you guys. Here is a little back ground,
I applied to USA visit visa in 2011 and rejected. I married in 2012 and applied for visit visa when i am expecting my baby. rejected again, Frustrated we applied for immigration. It took us more than two years and today my status showed "Issued". (By the way my whole family brother, sister, nephews having US visa and they all visit US often except me). I guess God has different plans.
My wife spent her whole life in USA and she came Pakistan to settle with me and stayed with me after marriage. Once i dont get visit visa, we plan to deliver baby in Pakistan and then we applied for his citizenship in Pakistan, and we got easily his passport. My purpose is telling you guys i have a strong case for immigration. I had my interview very strange i must say where Conselor didnt ask me any question he just asked about my father in law which i think for his curiosity cause he is also state employee, nothing else and i asked him my family is also here for interview, do you wana meet and he said no need of it. (while i heard and read conselor mostly welcome when we say them my spouse is here) Then he asked for some documents which i provided at the spot and he said you will get your passport in couple of weeks. Every time i go to ceac site i feel sad when i saw other people get their visa while mine still show ready, Then when my six months period passed after interview i emailed them about case status, they didnt reply but afterward my case updated on regular basis and after a month i received email to submit my passport with new medical ( i take back my passport cause of travel purpose) once i submitted my passport then silence and it took them one month again for Issued.
Thank God. I wish you all Goodluck with this wait journey. Its so frustrated, Just wait and have patience there is a perfect timing for every thing which we cant see. I guess my Eid started lol.
But there is a problem tooooooo. and i need your opinion. I dont wana move permanently. If they give me visit visa i may never apply for immigration. How long this visa is valid.
Thanks so much visa journey. This website is such a help and all you great peoples helping each other. Thank you so much.

You reset your IV bill by re submitting the ds-261. If it has been more than 45 business days since the reset, call and ask for a supervisor review.
