He didn't take the plea bargain offered by the court, so going to trial in a couple of months. I'm waiting till convicted to make info pass appointment and report to USCIS.

Thank you all for the helps over the years. This website helped us a great deal through out the process. We started in July 2013 with fiance visa, that was denied for no reasons (we gave them more than enough evidences). We did married in a third county and applied for CR-1 and finally visa was approved on May 13th. At this time I gave them box full of evidences till they get tired of reviewing it LOL, so when my husband went for interview he took more evidences, but the consulate told him that no no no we have enough don't give us no more and only asked him a couple of questions and told him he is proved.

Thank you all for the support!!! It has been a long journey, but finally it is over. Interview date was May 13th and received the visa on May 20th. Husband in the house now . I wish you all best of lucks!!!

Here is the way you can communicate with Cuban Interest Section in DC. There are list of agents that can help you communicate with the consulate depends on which state you live. The consulat is not taking money directly since they have problem with bank because of the US embargo, but that will change soon. It took me months to figure all out because I needed to legalize some documents that I'm going to use in Cuba. Here is the link, click the state you live in and it will give you list of agents ( http://www.cubadiplomatica.cu/sicw/ES/ServiciosConsulares.aspx).I sent emails to the interest section so many times I got no respond or phone respond. My husband went to the ministry of foreign affair in Cuba and told our situation and they gave him the consulate email and finally the consulate responded back my husbands email. He is the one who gave us the link to use. The consulate email address is (consul5@sicuw.org) and his name (Hector Herrera Dominguez). Good luck!

Both the petitioner and the beneficiary will get the letter of instructions (P4) by email if you provided the beneficiary's email during the process. If you have lawyer or who ever you put as choice of agent on DS-261 will get as well. Good Luck!

It really freaks me out when NVC workers skip CC dates. I hope by this Friday the gaps on the spreadsheet will be filled by good news. Hang in there everybody, we will get there soon . Life is for living !

I don't trust any information given by the NVC operator. I was told not to call them before the 60 days wait time when I called day 36 and two days later on day 38 I got my CC. Noting is consistent. I really hope a lot of people get their CC's this week. It is a boring day today nothing is happening here.

Let the day be flooded with CC's . Keep on checking the website and calling NVC people with scan dates 2/11-2/17. I have a feeling it is going to a good week and I hope NVC will catch up with EP this week.

Unfortunately they don't take your email address before your case number is assigned. I would call everyday till get the case number. Good luck!

They really don't care abut us. The month difference is unfair when we are all applying the same thing. I can imagine how you feel, I thought EP will be faster than sending by mail, why would they even bother to ask people to send in documents by mail if they are not responding on time. Amazing how the system works, we don't have the voice and they play their games as they wish on us. Hopefully yours will be next. Good luck!

I wish they go according to the scan date. I'm really tired of the process, I have started with fiance visa in 2013, the embassy denied our visa for no reason, this is the second time around trying with CR-1. Hey guys, I did my 2014 tax today and the person advised me to file Married Separately for now, but when my husband is in the country and gets his SSN, which I'm hopping in May , then I can file amendment as married filling jointly, that way we would receive additional $1200 to my tax returns. So, if you are filling married separately you can still do your amendment. I'm planning to send my 2014 return for my husband to take it to interview with my pay stub, so they know everything is up to date.

I think you are good to go, I thought you didn't have 2014 tax return, if I where you I will send the AOS and IV now and in the mean time look for sponsor before the interview. It will take up to 60 days the case to be reviewed after you send the document, after that a month or two for interview, you may find a job by then and might not need a sponsor. See also other VJ members opinion on that. I hope all works out for you. Good luck!!!

I think you are good if you send your 3 years tax return before April 15 to NVC. Do you have 2013, 2012, 2011 tax returns and is above poverty guideline? But they may ask 2014 tax return at the interview. My 2014 tax is not done yet so I didn't submit, but I will have it ready by the time for my husbands interview. I hope you will find another sponsor by the time for interview. If you have ll the documents ready you can send both the AOS and IV documents together now. Good luck!

As far as my knowledge - someone can corrected me if I am wrong- you don't have to withdraw your petition from USCIS since your fiancé(e) already had the interview at embassy and got denied. The reason some petition is still active and need to be withdraw because a beneficiary doesn't follow up the K-1 visa process until the interview.
