    Everyone cool your jets.
OP is having anxiety and lashing out due to emotional pain, not an excuse but a reality. Put yourself in his shoes, how would you feel just finding
all this out and having your father just pass away ?
Stop beating down on someone who is already down and out.
OP..... DNA test definitely. Only after that you will know the next step. I would get the test done in her country though.
I am still unclear on why your (?) child is in a different place and who was the other baby in her home and why was it there ?
I would take some time to settle things before her coming here and get the paternity issue settled.
Please calm down, all this anger will not help you. Get some counseling asap so you have an outlet for your frustrations.
    I wish you the best.

If you could get the DHS Ombudsman or a member of the House or Senate to submit this expedite for you, it would work wonders. But you do need to have each of these things documented, so much as to going to a doctor to diagnose the migraines. I had my case expedited through USCIS under the financial hardship when my foreign lease ended and funds were very tight to start another. Do what you can, it can't hurt you to try! But I'd take some advice from visaqueries because you will still need something more instant. After USCIS comes another slow beast called the NVC...

I know how you feel and agree with your description. It is truly "inhumane". Even when you finally get past USCIS, you have to wait months to get through the NVC. It's pure torture and I couldn't imagine any of those employees having to go through what they take people through. There are a lot of people with jobs and our government can easily attack the unemployment and improve our immigration process by opening up more jobs at USCIS and the NVC. Hang in there, I hear when it's all said and done, it'll be worth it!

It was "impossible" to get an approval according to many VJ members, lawyers, and others because we didn't meet within the two years immediately prior to the initial I-129F form. Well, we got RFE, I replied with my explanation and some documents to proof the situation I was living raising our newborn , and they APPROVED US!
I really thanks God for this approval and USCIS for understanding.

This forum isn't about haters, it's about sound advice for those struggling with visa and immigration issues. It's never good to sit here and attach people who are trying to preserve our already flawed immigration system. If so many people didn't come here and stay illegally, I'm sure it wouldn't be such a battle for those of us that do this correctly. To knowingly help or allow someone to commit a crime, it's not in the best interests of the individual or the country.
To call it a felony is not trolling. To advise the OP of the negative possibilities is not being a hater.
So to the OP, many would suggest that you report this all to the proper office. If that is not in your wishes, we understand. Anyhow, it wasn't useful to chime in on this because it wasn't what you asked. Though you have an interpreted legal liability, you have no financial liability for the illegal immigrant. You're in the clear. Beware of VAWA claims and if you choose to petition another fiance or spouse, be ready for some interesting questions.
I wish you a happy life! Glad you decided in the best interests of your happiness!

A trick to the phone situation is to call the phone company and tell them it's stolen. They won't charge you any fees and you will still pay the monthly bill, but it will prevent him from using the phone any further.
I'm sorry you've had to go through this. You can definitely do better. Never settle for less. Divorce and move on. He will get whatever is coming to him, so let karma have him and his family.

GOODNESS... no need to be nasty.. just reading what you originally posted.. it sounds like it was forwarded to the team that reviews the expedite requests.... Expedites are few and far between... Good luck with that. I see alot of requests taking 60 days for a decision. There is a backlog for those too. The senators can only place a rewquest for expedite. they don't make the decision. there is a process and the senators offices are not above anyone. People here are just trying to help you.
To answer your question in this post.... They ask for 60 days to review it. What is your reason for expedite? Maybe someone else has had a similar experience and can shed some light for you. The letter you attached is NOT an expedite approval. It is just giving you a status report of where your file is. It clearly states it is going for review. If you are going to post on a forum asking questions, its not nice to be mean to those who want to help you.

Joaozinho got a reaction from Gulabjamun in k-1 ? or not? London or Pakistan?
I'd recommend filing the CR-1. That is a marriage according to Islamic custom. With the large number of Muslims in the UK, I highly doubt the embassy will be unaware of such customs or anything. But this is irrelevant as his visa expires in April of 2014. He will finish this process at home.
If you try and file the K-1, while concealing that you are married, yes even with that little white paper, it could constitute fraud and it's not worth the risk. Get a letter of attestation from the Imam if you must to accompany that little white paper. When he goes back to Pakistan, by Islamic law, he will be considered married. Pakistani petitioners already suffer severely long AP waits. Don't gamble with anything else that might slow down the process.
And that temporary marriage mentioned above wouldn't get any marriage benefits except the one that they obtain this form of marriage for in the first place....
So we should all know it's definitely not that.

It is a requirement to prove you have a bonafide relationship, which means the visa isn't just for immigration purposes, you are filing the visa with the intent of marrying the person. Why do you marry a person? It is for love. Its called reading between the lines. If this does not define a bonafide relationship, I don't know what does. If you want to continue being a smart ### about it, feel free to do so. I hope you feel better about yourself by being rude to people who are just trying to help.

It's going to be very hard with that red flag. I'd suggest gathering a bunch of evidence if you plan to follow through with the K-1. If not, then try the CR-1 as mentioned above and document every part of the marriage!
    Good luck!

I think if we all divorced, filed K-1 petitions for our fiancés and fiancées (ex-spouses) and then just marry again in the U.S., we'd get approved and interviewed faster than all of this waiting they have us going through. Those K-1 petitions have been taking less than a month!
It's so frustrating! I really hope September is the month. The saddest thing is that we paid for this awful service.
Wishing the best for you all!

It really isn't about your age difference but you showing a bonafide relationship.
You said you visited 3 times. Over how long a period? You meet how long ago? Your 3 visits were how long in duration? You meet his family and friends and have their support and Blessing? Honestly your chances are so much greater for a possible approval if you marry like mentioned above. No not a guarantee but it shows you are committed towards each other. Sometimes with much older younger a K1 couple shows the CO that they aren't sure (may not be the case but heck why not marry).
Great you love each other and all that but the CO at embassy doesn't know you. If I was a CO and a 40 years older woman's profile showed up on my desk with engaged I would wonder why the hold up why not just get married. Especially if you have known each other over sometime.

I've had a similar experience living in Algeria for the last year, but as it's not so cosmopolitan, it's understandable. But I definitely know that feeling.
What I've done though and what I'd recommend is to build a network. Germany is a powerhouse in the global market, meaning they have companies and people looking for German connections all the time. The University of Connecticut has a professor that might be able to help your husband somehow. It appears that there are more than 100 German companies operating in Connecticut alone. I know for a fact that foreign companies love to get some natives in their office as it facilitates many things. I'd attempt to contact the professor in the following link and/or obtain a list of the companies in Connecticut and then start contacting and/or visiting some of them. These efforts can't hurt, but only help. When all else fails in a foreign country, look to some fellow countrymen or women for assistance. Such people would understand his resume, studies and skills better and he'd be able to speak a little more freely. Anyhow, try this and I wish you luck!

Typically he would need to have legal status in France to be able to adequately acquire all of the documents he needs. Working with Algeria related things is very difficult as it's hard to do anything outside of the country. In my previous experience, many embassies only issue visas citizens or residents of any particular country. And I'm certain he's going to need various papers from Algeria with the stamp of the city hall or it won't even be worth it. He can't get his Algerian birth certificate outside of Algeria. He can't get his proof of single status outside of Algeria. He can't get a French police certificate as he has no legal status there and that goes for various other documents. I'm certain he can't get anything from France as he's not a citizen or resident, but there illegally, which is problematic anyway.
Perhaps someone has experienced otherwise? I see no way of avoiding Algeria for a few obvious necessities and some interesting questions if you were to make it to the embassy stage.
I wish you the best of luck. I will see if I find anything else on the subject.

Well I'm a March filer as well and I know where my file is because various senators and a representative have checked. Apparently when the file is MSC, it is sent to the National Benefits Center and then after it sits on a shelf and waits its turn, it is given to a caseworker and/or shipped to the nearest field office. I'm just waiting for mine to be shipped to the Portland field office. This seems to be the process. Very few forms are actually processed and approved at the NBC. They give different processing times to different people, so I wouldn't depend so much on what they say, but I'd follow the igors list here on VJ to keep an eye on everything. Hope it works out for all of us sooner than later.
