Concerning the "eligibility" questions:
 
If we are already certain that we're eligible to file for citizenship, couldn't we just skip it and click on the "Go directly to the Application for Naturalization (N-400)"?
 
It seems obvious to me, but perhaps I'm missing something?

Good observations RE the fee waiver and attorney representative, however, special situations not contemplated on the online form aside, I think, based on the wording found on the website, that is safe to say applicants can use the online form, provided that all other conditions to file for citizenship are met. 
 
I say based on the wording because of what the website says:
 
"These questions are solely intended to help you determine whether you may be eligible to submit the application for Naturalization (N-400)."
 
Nowhere does it mention that the questions will help you determine whether you are able to file for citizenship ONLINE. 
 
So provided one is actually eligible to apply (3-5 year rule; continuos presence; etc.), I say they could. 
 
I'm saying this mainly because of question 5. I'll be personally eligible to apply on November 1 (3 year anniversary on January 30 2018), however, I have read that the dates on question 5 only move from time to time and therefore it may still deem me unable to file based on the wrong assumption that my eligibility window hasn't opened yet. 
 
I have heard of others who ran through that issue and simply bypassed the system by clicking on the link at the bottom of the eligibility check page. 
 
Anyway, appreciate you taking the time to answer, I think brainstorming here on the forum is beneficial to all!

Go to page 38 of the manual and you can read the following:
 
Notice of Action
A Conditional Resident with an expired Resident card (with a two-year expiration date) may be boarded if also in possession of a Notice of Action (Form I-797). The Notice of Action extends the validity of the card for a specified length of time, generally one year. The “Receipt Date” of the form has no effect on the validity of the card. A passport is not required.
 
The picture clearly shows a reference to the expiration of the permanent residence card itself, and not the NOA. I'm also highlighting the portion of text that mentions the NOA extending the validity of the card.

And when I say Spain, I mean the forever sunny part of the country, the Canary Islands, off the coast of Morocco. Absolute paradise! We've been coming here for the past 11 years.
 
Rain is fun, when it turns into powdery snow! We thought we were going to have some in Ireland a few weeks ago, but nothing, nice and sunny (although a bit chilly) over there as well! Perhaps we should come where YOU are and bring some of the sunshine!  

Hi @Nikkosan, how are you? It's been a while. I suddenly remember your request to keep you updated about my status. 
 
So I filed online July 26, got my NOA the same day. July 28, my biometrics was scheduled. I got the pdf posted online 4-5 days after. August 15 : biometrics done. August 19 : move to inline status. Sep 20: my interview is scheduled. The interview pdf was posted online yesterday (9/22). Interview date: 10/25.
 
So far it has been moving along. I am still pinching myself.
 
How is your case? When did you apply?

I was thinking more along the line of June 2017 (hence the reason why you were applying now for ROC.

I had heard of others, mainly with Interview Waiver for AOS who received a Green Card with "Resident Since" date corresponding to when they had actually applied for AOS (mine took about a year to process, so something like that would have been nice), but never anyone in your situation. Definitely an oversight!

I suggest you start reading the June, July, and August filers' threads. We most likely won't hear anything until November (unless they speed up, which I find hard to believe, although today someone today mentioned it might happen). The fact of the matter is, ROC now takes around 12 months to be completed.

I'll add those who have asked to be added ASAP (I was out of the country for a few weeks).
 
I just wanted to briefly report about my experience at Miami POE yesterday evening, since all of us have expired GCs, and when we travel, we do so with extension letters.
 
I have Global Entry, and so does my husband, so we just went to the GE kiosk, and put his US passport in to get a receipt. He got a cross on it, which means you need to go see a CBP officer. I did NOT put my expired GC as it would have not been recognized (I was instead suggested, a few months ago over the phone, to simply walk to the officer with my expired GC and my extension letter). So we stood in line in the specific GE entry lane, and once it was our turn, we showed his US passport with the GE receipt, plus my passport, expired GC, and extension letter. He simply asked us what the relationship was, and then asked us whether we were bringing any alcohol, etc..
 
Easy as that, no harassment whatsover. I told him I would be again traveling internationally on my own in a couple of days, and he said to simply make myself known to a CBP officer (I will again be using the GE lane), and to have the very same documents ready for inspection). He stamped my passport with the admission date, LPR status with WAC receipt # mentioning "1 YR EXT LETTER".

It's very simple: California Center approves their applications at 6 month, Vermont is at Nov 2015. I am Cali and I am approaching 7 months of waiting pretty soon. Why are you so anxious of getting this gc? Don't you have an extension letter?

British is not a language, in Great Britain most people speak English (not to be confused with the simplified English used in the USA.).

No, you need to be within the 90 day window from the expiration date written on your green card. If it is submitted prior to that, it will NOT be accepted.
Since I have been looking at how other people "presented their information", here are a couple of pictures from our submission today.
We used:
- Avery Avery-Style Lgl Bottom Tab Dividers, 27-Tab, Exhibit A-Z, Letter Size (8.5 x 11), White, 27 per Set (11376);
- Officemate Heavy Duty 2-Hole Punch, Padded Handle, Black, 50-Sheet Capacity (90082);
- ACCO 2-Piece Paper Fasteners (can't remember the exact dimensions, but they were big enough to hold the whole package!);
- ACCO 17928 Pressboard Report Cover, Top Bound, Tyvek Reinforced Hinge, Letter Size

"Card in production" message this AM after "Approval Notice" on 2/2 (Welcome letter mailed on 01/30 and yet to be received).

Yes I did.
The IO was very nice but had to send me to secondary. She told me my husband could also come with me (we're same-sex).
It took no more than 10 minutes, they gave me an I-94 to fill out (weird, I thought they went "digital", but obviously the Port of Miami has not, yet...).
Fun fact: the line off the cruise ship was HUGE (many EU citizens from repositioning cruise). An IO pulled out several who claimed to be US Citizens (including my husband), and when I was sent to secondary by one of his colleague, he made a point of coming into the "secondary" area to tell me what I did was "sneaky". At tha point, I did tell him my husband is a US citizen, and that we are traveling as a "FAMILY". He kept arguing that he didn't like what I did, talked to another senior IO, and not even 10 seconds after that, approached me again to profusely apologize as he did not realize what the situation was. Having an IO apologize to you is close to seeing a flying unicorn (LOL!). I told him "no problem", and I was out in about 10 minutes, NO extra questions about "us", zero, zilch, zip, nada.
I am now "paroled" for a year (I'm assuming less decisions to be made next time I cross the US Border), but TRULY hope I get my GC soon!!! Waaay overdue!
