You are welcome. Yes, I know how stressful this journey is but hopefully soon it will be over.

    No, not yet.

I'm also expecting not to receive the GC before I become a citizen, or maybe that's just my wishful thinking! LOL

I'll keep you posted, hopefully by the end of next week both of us will have a scheduled ceremony to put down on the calendar.

Don't worry, that's perfectly normal, even if it doesn't make sense.

    Here is mine, for comparison:

Today I received the hard copy from the NBC, dated April 23, 2018.

This is what it looks like:

Not sure how long it will take for the card to show up, but I'll keep you posted. I have a stamp in my passport that is valid until the end of November, and I am currently waiting for my oath ceremony letter anyway, so I'm not too concerned about the 10-year green card.

    Yup, it is true!

For sure! Thought that was bizarre!

Meanwhile I went to my local field office today to see if they could schedule me for tomorrow's oath ceremony, but I was told they could not, so I will most likely have to come back early from a trip to Europe in order to attend a May ceremony...It could be worse though, I could still be waiting, so yeah, I'm not complaining!

Yes, that's it! In our case, it was a bit surreal, since we had a same-day oath ceremony, and days later, the system still said to watch out for the oath ceremony letter. (And yes, about a week after becoming US citizens, there it was in the mail :-) ).
    Good luck, you're almost there!!

Check after midnight (Eastern Time) to see new appointments being released (usually for a day that is two weeks out), or around 7.30/8am for same day cancellations. It usually works for me.

    Welcome to the club!

My field office is telling me that they have my ROC file but that they're having IT issues (since March 12...yeah, right!) and that therefore they can't approve my I-751 even if I already had BOTH interviews and was recommended for approval! LOL

Tier 2 officer, on the other hand, told me my case is still at CSC. Go figure!

CSC is all over the place, but yes, they are indeed approving plenty of November 2016 filers. There's a lot of us!

    That's correct. Received vs transferred.

It seems as if those that received a "transferred" message were indeed transferred (with a letter sent to them), whereas those that have a "received" message are still at CSC and the message was merely a move from one place to another, within CSC.

    Thank you for answering.

I have yet to receive any updates on the oath ceremony. The people at the field office told me that it was an IT issue with their ROC approval system, and that's why we were being held on an approval for that part of the journey. I find it hard to believe, but hey, what can I say.

I am indeed being proactive, so I did take a few actions to see if anything can be done. Ultimately, I'm trying to focus on the fact that I am pretty much done and am just waiting to be processed; this helps.

I'll keep everyone posted in the meantime if something were to change.

I would say you need it ONLY if you need proof of status; i.e. traveling out of the country (hence needing to come back); applying for a new job; applying for a loan/mortgage, etc..

If none of these particular situations apply to you, then I don't see the need to have proof of status. You are and will continue to be a LPR until a decision has been made on your application.

    I totally understand.

I've had two stamps myself (one when I misplaced my green card in 2015 and another one as a 1-year extension for the ROC). Both were/are for 1 year and needed as I frequently travel internationally and need to show proof of LPR status to both the airline/security employees in the foreign country, and the CBP officers at the border.

Ultimately, as I mentioned, you continue to be a LPR until a decision has been made on your submission.

Not yet...because of "THE SYSTEM"...! LOL

The officer interviewing us/me verbally gave us the OK for that portion though. At that point I didn't know of this "system" issue they were (are?!?!) having, so I didn't think much of it. It's only after I inquired back a few days ago as to what is going on that I was made aware of this.

I'm moving in different directions (the "being proactive"), and ultimately the Field Office supervisor told me to chill, and that I was lucky to have already had both interviews...
