  1. It’s the case with mine. But our journey is not finished yet. I hope it wont happen to us on the green card and visa later.

Did your wife change her passport into her married name? cause what I understand, they will always go with passport details. If she has a maiden name on her passport during interview then visa and green card will be in maiden name.

We called NVC too on this matter when our I-130 was approved with my married name in all the documents and USCIS correspondence on married name, until NVC changed it into maiden name.

They told us that during interview, if I have the married name on my passport already, then they will issue the visa and green card on Married name.

  2. The I-864 is good until next tax season or if something changes between NVC sand interview otherwise nothing needs to be updated.

Example. Many people filed an extension well you had to October to file so those people would have had to have updated I-864 at interviews.

If you no longer live in the country you don';t need a new police certificate. If you still live there and its more than a year yes you need a new PCC.

    Thanks.

Do they need the original signature of my husband in the I-864 or the copy is already enough.

I’m still living in UAE and will stay until I got the visa. The PCC was issued on Oct 8, 2014. Im just worried cause the certificate clearly mention that its only valid for 3 months.

  3. Hello everyone

Ill have my interview on January 29, 2015. I’m wondering how long is the I-864 valid for. My husband submitted the AOS on 1st week of September. Should I ask him to send me new signed I-864 or the one he submitted is already good for the interview. I have the full copies of AOS package he sent to NVC.

Also, Police certificate here in UAE is valid only for 3 months but the packet 4 I received says that I only need to get new clearance if all the 3 below are true :

? Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three

items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

    ? He or she is more than 16 years old;

? He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and

? He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate.

My UAE clearance is dated Oct 8, 2014 ( and it mentions that validity is 3 months). Should I get new Police certificate?

    Thanks in advance

    -Cheryl

  5. Okay getting ready to get this January interview started. Hope everybody had a joyful thankful weekend. I so needed this 4 days. Okay Come on NVC don;t disappoint us tomorrow.

Hi dwheels76 , surely you have many notifications received :) but if you are able to get this one, kindly update my Interview date for January 29, 2015 in Abu Dhabi embassy . We received our P4 on Dec 3.

The webpage to update always turns into Arabic that's why I cant update.

    Thanks a lot :)

  6. Your fiancé and I has the same interview date.

Good luck to both our interviews...

    Hi all,

So far the everything in the visa process has been going smoothly. But now the fiancee and I have hit a snag in our case.

When I filed the I-129F petition for my fiancée she was working in the UAE. Her residence visa expires Dec 2015 however as of recently she is no longer employed which I assume means her residence status will be canceled. She also had residence in UAE from 2009 to 2012. NVC has already sent our case to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Also the Embassy or Consulate in her native country (Kyrgyzstan) does not process k1 visas for fiancees or immigrant visas for that matter. I believe that Kazakhstan is the nearest country that has an embassy that processes K1 visas and even that comes with its challenges. Basically Im trying to see if anyone knows if she can still do her interview in UAE since her country does not process k1 visas and its already been routed there? Will the push for transfer to somewhere else that does process visas? Should I contact the embassy with this issue? Thanks for the help and suggestions everyone!

  7. I have added you. Yes working on it. You won't see many EB-3. Thats a rare type on this spreadsheet. But you are welcome to join. Trying to change up now see all kinds of stuff. Yikes. Think I just foobarred the spreadsheet

    dwheels76

hi, Is it possible to add me on the case complete spreadsheet too? I tried to fill in the file but for some reason, it automatically change the settings to Arabic so I can’t understand and cant complete it.

    CC : Nov 13

    Thanks a lot …

  8. that's Good for your. As much as I want to do the same, I cant take that risk here cause i'm working overseas. My company will cancel my visa once I resign from the last working day. And there's only 30 days grace period that I can stay legally in the country. So I prefer wait for the visa before resigning.

Looking at the excel file, it can be. I hope we will hear about the interview schedule this week...

Yea i understand you, but i made little risk which was worthy for me and announced about going from work 45 days before. So in middle of January i will be out from work and around that time i am expecting for interview date. Just when Approved on interview i want to buy ticket same day :)

How do you think guys, based on instruction and i see myself excel charts, NVC is making interviews scheduled for last 2 days of month and first week of new month. So bc Tuesday is thanksgiving do you think they will start scheduling interviews at Wednesday and Friday? (I am sure last 2 days of month means last 2 business days :) )

  9. Hello

We got case complete on Nov 13 too. Hoping to get earlier interview date as well. I still need to give my company 45 days notice on my resignation. As much as possible, I don’t want to put in my resignation without the visa on hand.

Good luck to us and to everyone in this journey.

Got Case Completed in November 13, based on instruction on post 1, they are making interview appointments scheduled among last 2 days of month and first week of the new month. So I am just expecting to get interview letter this Tuesday or Friday bc they are last 2 business days from month, and plus i am one of the first who got to wait for next flow. Because they finished scheduling interviews for CC on November 10, if i got approved 5 days before i would have interview scheduled 10 days ago :)

I wish we all to get soon interview dates scheduled and close date of interview appointments.

  10. Congratulations on the approval.

Our case is already complete and we are waiting for the interview schedule from Abu Dhabi Embassy.

Hoping they don't have very long waiting time.

    Good luck to us :-)

    I been NOA1 since 10/24/2014 and the USCIS site has been displaying the error message ever since they updated, and just 5 minutes ago I checked and got the following message;

On November 20, 2014, we approved your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number SRC*******. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your approval notice by December 20, 2014, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Would this happen to mean my case is NOA2? My case was handled at Texas Service Center.
