I dunno why my is taking so so long in prcess
May I know what was the checklist of your civil documents?

We just put NO for the other occupations. We only listed her current job. No problems at all. It seems this is common.
Just fill in the current job and submit.
Good luck with the process. It seems long but once complete, it's all worth it. It took us 13 months from initial application to my wife's arrival. Yesterday was her 2 month anniversary as a resident of the US.
thanks a lot.
I will submit the DS-260 by today.
Its long and stressful process. Good that you are already done with it. we are hoping to be complete 1st quarter of next year.

Has anyone else seen this on their application? Should we submit? Everything else is complete. I have attached a printout of the page showing Work/Education/Training. This was all it asked. Nothing else.
HI J&A , I have the same situation with yours. it only ask for my current occupation. I have a friend who submitted hers few days ago and hers is completely different than my Work/education history. should I put NO and leave it as it is? I don't have other occupation or part time or the likes....
thanks.

Yes it's ok to send from UAE and Yes you can mention yourself (and should) in the cover letter. The IV package is all about you if you are the applicant at the NVC stage.
Thanks RobbieG , I listed him as my agent so im thinking it should be him sending my files on my behalf.
Another question, Im planning to use my company's FEDEX account to send the document. corporate rate is almost half the price than the usual FEDEX rate, will it be okay? Sender's name would still be under my name but the address is from my workplace instead of my apartment.

We already sent the AOS package and I appointed my husband as my agent. Is it okay if Ill send my IV from UAE, where I am at right now and not from US where my husband is.
In my cover letter, can I mention my name instead of my husband whom I listed as my agent?
-
No, but it can be paid online by submitting US bank account info. It then takes a couple days to process. The routing number, account number, and type of account are required to process the payment. This info can be taken off of a check.
Thanks Ryan, will try if my mom in law can help us on this.

After a month , my Qatar police clearance is received. And after a month of processing from UAE CID section for fingerprint and notary from Philippines embassy, my Philippines NBI clearance is received.
I should get my UAE clearance by tomorrow. And good to go with my IV package.
Hopefully my husband is able to pay the IV this week.
Is it possible to pay using credit card for IV? My hubby is at the boat right now and won’t be home for another 2 weeks?

Call USCIS and get the confirmation on when did they shipped your case to NVC. Ours took 26 days from approval to reach NVC.

It's a good reference point, but what both my wife and I have been following (Not just Singapore but every country) is the date that the NVC recieved your AOS Package, it's trending around 30 - 35 days, then the IV Fee payment window opens along with the DS-260 Application.
Summary Information Page from NVC should look like or show:
Choice of Agent (DS-261) Complete
Affdavit of Support (AOS)
AOS Fee (PAID)
Support Documents (N/A) still under review
Applicant Info (DS-260)
IV Fee (Pay Now) window isn't open at this time
Civil Documents (N/A)
In our case the AOS Packet was recieved by the NVC on 2 Sept 2014, therefore we are looking on or about 2 Oct 2014 for the AOS review to be completed, and for the IV Fee window will open. For us this is really important because my wife has to have 2 Police Cert's, one from Malaysia and one from Singapore. We know the Singapore PC will take about 10 days, the one from Malaysia could take anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months, we are hoping for the least amount of time form Malaysia 3 weeks. There is one problem, the Singapore Embassy will only accept PC's that are no older with 6 months, every other country the PC is valid for 1 year, so timming is very important, so we don't have to repeat the process again. So, basically the wife will apply for the Malay PC shortly after the IV Fee is Paid, then a week after apply for the Singapore PC, we hope both will arrive at the same time, then complete the DS-260 in the mean time, while I wait for her to send them via DHL to me to submit to the NVC around the 1st week in Nov. Possible Interview date around 15 Mar 2015 or sooner, but we don't control this!
It's very important that everyone here at VisaJourney update there "Timeline" as NVC events occure, this allows everyone to see and forecast the appoximate times as each step passes, and for the people who maintain VisaJourney to furnish the best possbile information to those who are planning to bring there spouse or family member here.
The stopper of my civil documents is my NBI clearance from Philippines and Police clearance from Qatar. Hoping to get my NBI from Philippines in 1 or 2 weeks max. for Qatar Police clearance, its been 6 weeks since I sent my request in Qatar Embassy, and ive been calling them every week , still not ready for pick up L . They said it can take up to 3 months. Hopefully it will be ready once IV is invoiced so I can send my IV dox right away.

The 60 days is for the AOS, your DS-261 should be listed as complete, and Yes the IV Fee and DS-260 Application is still closed pending the AOS Reivew.
Small Correction, the "Only People who will get the AOS and IV Fee's are those who have filed for Expedited Processing", therefore they will be able to submit both packages at the same time, I would recommend submission individually and not as one package, they're has been some people who got a NVC Check-list because of this.
thanks Chris&Angel ... yes the DS-261 is listed as complete.
Should I consider the 60 days notice date as mark for the 60 days?
-
You won't know what the Status is until NVC reviews the AOS, hope you had Tracking info on your AOS packet, to know when they recieved your AOS, then count 60 days.
The real dilemma begins on which process the NVC will use, the New Process or the Old Process, under the New Process your file is in-complete, because the IV Application wasn't submitted at the same time per the New Process Guidelines.
Did you have Access to the IV Application DS-260 and were you able to pay the IV Fee at the same time you paid the AOS Fee?
There has to be over a Thousand pending Petitions/Applications regardless of the type of Visa applied for, at the NVC that fall under the Old Process, but in the NVC eyes, they are consided in-complete at this time.
AOS package was received at NVC on Sept 15. Im worried now about the new process cause yes you are right, it will only means that our document is incomplete.
I submitted the DS-261 on Sept 8, and I received the 60 days email from NVC, Im not sure if its for the DS-261 or for the AOS. Till now, IV and Ds-260 are both locked.

NVC is saying that your package must be submitted together per there New Online posted Application process and flowchart to (Mail-In I-864 plus Financials and DS-260 Civil Documents), unless your going to sit on your AOS for 60 days until you have Access to the DS-260 (which is Pending at this time), you simply cannot submit both together. If this was the intend of the NVC, this would mean around 60 day for the AOS review to completion, then another 15 days or more for the completion of the IV review to completion before you send in all the documents, which they will review again over a 60 day window or another 4 1/2 months in processing time.
Your timeline is vary close to our timeline, but yet we have completed both the DS-261 and submitted our AOS separately, your AOS is currently still under 'Review" as is mine, until it's completed you won't have Access to the IV Payment window which is still pending and Access to the (DS-260 Online Immigration Visa Application). NVC is still processing our petitions using the Old Process, under the New Process the IV Fee payment window along with the AOS payment window whould be opened at the same time, this isn't the case at this time!
Whoever the person that thought about this change at the NVC, clearly didn't look at the whole process as it stands right! The Delays that are being caused right now are from the NVC which has everyone confused about the process!
As for those who are just starting this process with the DS-261, it would be great to know if they would update this forum on weather or not the AOS and IV Payments windows are open at the same time under the New Process. If this is True, then all the prior pending petitions submitted before 19 Sept 2014, have a Legit Beef witht the NVC, therefore opening the window for Congressional Complaints.
How to know the status of the AOS. Ours was delivered to NVC last week.
Thanks

There is no style or format preferred I guess. As long as it is readable and presentable. For ours we made Power point presentation cause its easier to caption, then print it with A4 normal paper
Passport and Boarding passes – we caption them of who visits whom or if it’s a trip together

Hi everyone. At last after 15 months of waiting I have finely got my visa in my hand! It has been a long and eventful journey but am so glad its over. Thank you all for your help and support, we couldn't have done it without your help. The interview was a breeze, the interviwer very pleasant and helpful. I fly out of Australia on the third of October to start my new live with my Husband in Missouri. Once again thank you all!
:joy:
Congratulations. I'm happy for you both...
Where are you guys in Missouri.. My husband is from Missouri too

What's IV fee? I've looked through all the info on NVC package for IR-5 and didn't find anything like that.
Are you K1 or IR-1? Your page says K1. And I think for they have different process as for the IV fee and civil documents submission.
-
viin29aann may I know if you missed to submit those clearance/NBI or they just need new copies of those documents?
They are saying all documents will be reviewed within 60 days. I hope they will review it in less than 60 days too.
-
Will this cause problem for our case, hubby already sent the AOS package to NVC while Im waiting for the IV fee so we can pay and send the civil documents. Does this mean, we have to send again another AOS package along with my civil documents once IV is invoiced and paid?

I am also interested for the answers or info about this one

We label ours as petitioner and beneficiary. Since we prepare ours using PPS, each page has our names already then mentioned beneficiary and petitioner on the captions of the photo.
We only put petitioner or beneficiary whenever there are other people in the photo…
i.e , with petitioners mother XXXXXX, beneficiary’s friend etc….
-
Im sorry to hear about your petition. Hope your approval will come very soon
For the error, I don’t know exactly why. But maybe you try to update it using other browser. Or try to log out or restart your computer.

Hello, looking at your timeline, it took 7 months to get the NOA1 from I-130 submission?
Usually the NOA1 is only days to a week time. Not months I think.
-
I hope you mean the entire tax return which includes W2s and any schedules etc.. not just the 1040.
I believe it is. He said its the copies he ordered from IRS 3 weeks ago.
then he includes the recent 6 months paystubs.
-
Thanks, hubby already sent the AOS package. Sent 3 years 1040 with W2 and 6 months paystubs for 2014.
Goodluck to our Visajourney

was it expired when you submitted the clearance or it got expired when the time they review the documents? My police clearance here in UAE is only valid for 3 months. Im afraid it will get expired before the whole NVC process is completed.
Thanks
