El&Ken got a reaction from dreamingegypt in Trinidad and Tobago
My visa was approved approximately 2 hours ago. My heart is happy. I could not have done this without visa journey. My fiancé was allowed in with me and it made all he difference in the world.

Seems like the most logical and far less stressful advice!
OP - It might take a little longer but your rate of being denied and so many frustrating run around is less! Best of luck and keep the love alive!

very well said Nurseling, I myself is a Nigerian female, and I can't imagin a Nigerian man wanting and willing to marry a woman who can never carry his baby, with the kind of culture Nigeria have I seriously doubt that this man is in for this for better, for worst and until death. He will leave her once that green card has been issued. So its best like you and others say to put this guy on a trial and tell him she rather move to Nigeria and live with him, and see how his reaction will be and see if he will accept that, maybe live with him in Nigeria for maybe a year or even 6 months and see if he can proudly intoduce you to his friends as his wife. Do that before even applying for him. I know you love him and he have probaly got you into thinking that he loves you but make sure that this man truely loves you and is genuine so you don't end up being hurt in the future.

Young woman/old man is almost never a problem.
The opposite is almost always a problem, especially if the difference is really big, if she is past her child bearing years and if the beneficiary is from a third world county (in this type of relationship, it is usually Nigeria/other black African countries and the poor Arab countries, like Morocco, Egypt +Turkey).

The K3 is obsolete but the CR-1 spousal visa would be better.
Plus points if you have a wedding with both his and your family present- take pics and submit them with the petition. Do you have kids? If so, them being present would be useful.

Nothing you can do now. If they determine it's not enough, and they feel like giving you the chance to supply more evidence, they will RFE you.
Cannot be proactive now.. that ship has sailed

Having your fiance(e)'s presence during the interview (even if he/she can't attend) is ALWAYS a big thumbs up. Some embassies/consulates "unofficially require" the sponsor to be present during the interviews. You can check out the embassy notes by clicking the flag under your avatar image on your post, if there are no notes, look at timelines from other members who've gone through the process.
Good luck!

Congratulations! Ken & Lecia have it right.
When did you file?
Also, to help out the other Visa Journey members, you can fill out your timeline which people can click and see when you filed, and your basic process. It lets other users know where that Service Center is at. This is completely optional ofc.

Congratulations. Your approved petition will be going to the NVC if it hasn't been there already and will spend between 2-3 weeks with them before it is forwarded to the embassy and in between this time, your fiance can call the NVC for his case number. Now, before your case get to the embassy, you can start preparing to obtain your birth certificate if you don't have one yet and police reports(Certificate) of every countries you have been to and stayed up to 6 months in, if that applies to you. The embassy will contact you once they have your approved petition with them or you can call them once you are aware your petition has left the NVC.

El&Ken reacted to Felicity3355 in How long should I know my fiance before applying for k1 visa?
Hi im from Philippines too. Me and my fiancee have similar situation with you. We met online on September, we meet up on person end of October for one week in Philippines. Then we applied for K-1 visa late December and we dont seem to have any problem at all. We are just waiting for our NOA2 to come. But since then while waiting for the NOA2, we never stopped talking everyday, he have visited me again last Febuary then again he will come this June with is son. So we have more proof of meeting up in person when we get to the part where US Manila Embassy will handle our case!! So goodluck to you both!!!

El&Ken reacted to Darnell in How do i get a copy of NOA2 "Approval" for I-129F *
The USCitizen Petitioner would have received this via postal mail.
The Beneficiary (you) would have never received this - NOA-2s are never sent to the Beneficiary.
Contact your USCitizen Petitioner, and ask what's up.

El&Ken reacted to uk2upstateny in Vermont approvals?
I only noticed one approval yesterday/today, but I did notice that in another thread someone said they had been checking case numbers and they are still moving - remember not everyone is on Visa Journey so it's not always an accurate picture. Just take comfort in the knowledge that they are still working through these, even if it is very slow.. And annoying!
