I like the idea of a thread for K-1's specifically! It's kinda confusing to wade through the CR1 info regarding NVC, I keep panicking before I realize MOST of that doesn't apply for us K-1 people.

Our NOA2 was just this Friday (May 17) so I haven't called NVC yet, gotta give them a little bit of time I think. I'll probably call on Thursday or Friday although I don't really expect anything until next week.

I agree, A thread for k1's would be good. As far as time to the NVC, don't hold your breath, and stay on it. I'm still waiting on my number, and it's been almost a month since NOA2.

What I have seen, is some people get them very quickly, and others end up waiting. I haven't been able to come up with a reason why, but it happens.

We were approved on May 15 and I just called to see if by chance they received our case yet. They have not, but I'm not surprised. It's only been a few days. She told me it takes 15 business days for them to receive cases, but I'm going to call Thursday or Friday. It seems like most people only have to wait about a week. I hope our case isn't one of the ones that takes forever. :(

I also called NVC yesterday.. I have the same NOA2 date as you.. They told me the same.. Im gonna call them again infew days..

Does anybody know what to do after the case number is given? Should we wait for package 3 from consulate or can we send documents without waiting for the package?

Im counting a month and 10 days since we've got our approved noa2... My fiance called NVC for 2 times now and they haven't got our case... Im getting depressed...

if you are over 30 days, call up USCIS and speak to a tier 2 rep and ask them to put in an iquiery about it, you should also send in an NVC request if you haven't done it already, and call the NVC every day (I call twice a day)

Squeaky wheel and all that.

I'm depressed too, considering that half of the other people that were approved on the same day as me have already moved through NVC now, and telling my fiancee, "No, they don't have it yet" every.single. day.
