jayjayj reacted to Italian_in_NYC in The Republican tax bill got worse: now the top 1% gets 83% of the gains
How can a State elect a (very) brilliant Senator (Portman) and a buffoon (Brown)? It's really mind-boggling.

They block and ban people who don't violate the terms of service just because of their political views. That is just as much discrimination as not baking a cake for someone because of how they choose to live their life.

Yet again that is different????

Twitter advertises its self as being a public commons much like a resturaunt or gas station. Imagine if one of those types of businesses refused to serve someone because of their political beliefs. Or if for example a cake maker refuses to serve someone because of their beliefs. Oh wait...

I apologize, I didn't realize I was speaking directly to you.......person not previously involved in the thread, but welcome now. I sure do seem to have struck a nerve though. I'll have to keep that in mind when I have time to respond to all your points.

Yeah several times. Your first reply had elements of a personal attack and your follow-up misquoted me and put meaning into my words that were not there - all violations of TOS, but I don't mind and I'm not going to report you. Just be careful. I want to respond to your initial points when I have time, but if you keep up the TOS violations you might not be here to read it.

jayjayj got a reaction from eieio in Republicans may have 'awoken a sleeping giant' by repealing net neutrality
It's been hard going.
All the emoji on my kid's phones have disappeared, they aren't dealing with that very well, but we have an appointment with a child psychologist scheduled.
I had to send out an email to everyone at work informing them it will now take 3-4 days for inter-domain emails to arrive - some of our exchange servers are now 97% fragmented.
All of our L2 MPLS networks have rerouted to 39.0392° N, 125.7625° E, which is odd because I didn't realize you could forward packets to GPS coordinates. I guess you really do learn something new every day. I'm sure that issue will work itself out, but in the meantime we have disabled all our encryption, since whomever is at those coordinates is almost certainly trustworthy and will probably just forward them back to us.
On the bright side, all TPS reports have been suspended until the interwebz tubes have been re-calibrated and unclogged.

Nobody is stopping anyone from filing a petition with the federal government. Let's clear that up first.
If they feel the issue warrants filing a petition, they can do the leg work themselves, just like people did way back in the good ole 1990's. Expecting the government to provide an electronic petition system, so people don't have to get up from their computers is pure laziness. If these people really care about an issue they will get out there and find people to sign their paper petition. Let's see what they do. I bet they keep sitting at their computers eating sandwiches and crying about Trump.

Well said! Has your internet collapsed yet? I am shocked mine still seems to working

So you understand then, service providers don't have network backbones with unlimited bandwidth - network capacity is limited to about 90% of what their aggregate infrastructure can support. Your company has to pay an ISP for the bandwidth you want, depending on your needs right? Your company doesn't get to pay a flat fee and use as much network capacity as they want.
Service providers are also in business to make money, just like Netflix and YouTube, as examples. Netflix and YouTube take up a large portion of all bandwidth (estimated over 50%) going from providers to users and also eat up a huge chunk of provider backbone capacity. If you want providers to enhance/increase their network capabilities, it has to be financially feasible for them. They can't be expected to invest millions of dollars that they can't recoup in some way. They recoup those costs by charging customers who use the bandwidth.

They had to remove it. The interwebz need to be recalibrated after 7 days of not being protected by net neutrality. I'm shocked I can even get to VJ right now.
Voting is though.

jayjayj reacted to Dashinka in Sign Up Log In THE RESPONSE If Bias of FBI Agents Is Issue for GOP, Let's Talk About the NYC Field Office
What is interesting is that it is the Mueller team and the DOJ that is actually muddying the waters. There may be those in the GOP that are pointing it out, but it should be pointed out and it should have not been hidden for so long.

When the anti-hillary agents are in charge of prosecuting Hillary….I am sure we can talk about it then. Until then….we need to expose the corruption and bias of those involved in this witch hunt.

They should permanently delete it. Basically whatever Obama did was a waste of money and a failure.
