  1. Yes you can visit but always be truthful and give them what they want to prove there’s no intent

this was a a nerve racking day as we needed a last minute flight so he could get to the US from the UK.

Just today my fiancé went through customs in Chicago.

He’s staying five weeks before medical and interview.

Ryan just went through customs and was asked a few questions.

We are at Embassy now in London awaiting for consular received.

He had ties back home, work return, and lease.

Brought all legal documentation on K1.

We were nervous as we knew it was no guarantee and he wanted to be here for the the birth of our little girl.

I was just sent a text that he was “Welcomed to the US”.

Very relieving but definitely not something we will do again with his Esta once he’s back to the UK and  until medical and interview is done and visa is in hand.

I think it depends on the case and the officer.

This forum has helped us more than anything and knew what to expect.

We came here and followed the knowledgeable people here.

It can be done and thanks to all of you for your support he will be here soon with me as I was told Monday that I will be in labor in the next week or so.

I have him here with me in an hour and haven’t seen him since February.

So relieved he won’t miss this and be here with myself, my son, and our new addition Hannah and to sign the BC.

I definitely recommend anything that the many before us have given on advice on this process as they’ve always, always, been right on point.

I’m astounded at how much I’ve learned just reading through others advice and stories.

I thank you all for all of your help on our journey @Greenbaum, @Zoeand @Wuozopo

All three of you are wonderful and couldn’t have done this without your guidance.

God Bless all of you and your families.

You are blessed beyond words. Your family, like a puzzle, each piece a little different then the others but cut so that it needs to be combined to form a complete family. All the best to you and your family.

  2. Hi everyone,

Is there a K-1 thread for May 2019 filers?

  3. @Greenbaum, hello!! I need your advice. I had my interview yesterday. However, my fiance had been divorce twice and I just provided the recent divorce decree. Consul asked me if I have a copy of the 1st divorce decree of my fiance and his ex wife. I told her I dont have as I did not ask my boyfriend, we though its not needed because he have the recent divorce decree of the 2nd ex wife.

Consul gave my passport and adviced me to send the 1st divorce decree together with my passport at 2go.

    I am now worried. 😢😢

    1. Greenbaum

      Greenbaum

Nothing to be worried about !!!! The reason for the divorce decree's is to insure that he is actually divorced from the 1st to marry the 2nd and divorced from the 2nd to marry the 3rd (you). They are looking for fraud. It's a simple thing. Just get the divorce papers from the courthouse in the county that he filed the divorce in and he can email you a copy and you can then print it locally and send onto the US PI embassy.

BTW, do you see above in your name/picture the button for "message". If you tap that you will send a PM to me and we can have a conversation that way. Here is not really the place to ask questions. They have a tendency to go unseen.

  4. @Greenbaum, 😢 Ugh!! My NOA2 was April 26 and I called last May 15 case # and invoice # assigned already. However, I just check the status and til now still "at NVC".  😭😭😭

There is no fee for the DS-160. I have stated that many times in the forums. Please read every post in the threads you subscribe to so you don't miss important information. You must use the DS-160 confirmation number to complete the payment of the MRV interview fee.

The DS - 160 is a document that stands alone. It does not affect anything. You can't use it to find any information about your case. You can't use it for anything other than for its original intent and that is for the CO to use during your interview to adjudicate your case. It does not need to be finished at the moment you receive your case number.

In most cases, each visa applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee, whether a visa is issued or not. The visa application fee is determined by the
type of visa for which you wish to apply.

You may of missed this tidbit of information but cases don't get shipped to the embassy but every other week. Next shipment is scheduled for June 11/12. You won't see your status change till then.

  6. @Greenbaum, Can I ask please... My NOA2 letter says Approval Notice Valid is April 26 2019 til Aug 25 2019. However, I got noticed from email that my case was approved on April 29 2019. Does it mean my NOA2 was on April 26 or April 29? IMG_20190530_114527.thumb.jpg.a5bd8e66b9062c3a968dcd5c9db0a20c.jpg

Pick a date as neither is important.  The expiration date is important but only if you think you will need to interview after that date. If not pay the notice without concern.

  7. Hello Greenbaum,

We just got approved on November 20th. Could you please send the link, whats the next step for Mumbai embassy (India). I have been a silent watcher and you have great knowledge.

    Thankyou

Here is the letter that you will receive from Mumbai Embassy. Read it over carefully and follow the instructions. Another member of VJ added some additional information contained below which outlines what he experienced. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xukUjdqnKM7yqrkqfPfl8tCao_BY2XsC/view?usp=sharing https://photos.state.gov/libraries/mumbai/1057584/senkx/BMB IV Packet 4 for Ks January 2015 Revision_001.pdf Once you received your case number from NVC,  I would recommend you fill out DS-160 form and submit. Some say the packet 3 letter is nothing just waste of time same thing they have mention which you easily get from USCIS website when you called to the clinics to book your medical appointment date they will ask you have you received your packet letter or not. Just say yes and booked the appointment date however you will receive that letter within 2 weeks the day you will get your NVC number. Go on USCIS website make your account with password and then pay your fees to Citibank or Axis bank. They will give you reference number. With that number you can book your biometric and interview appointment date. The fees are 18,500 and for medical but I recommend that you carry 20,000 with you in the event you need more. Be sure to  keep at least 7 days gap between medical and interview.

Here is a topic in another forum where those from the Mumbai Consulate are applying with good information.

  9. Hey! have you seen any correlation between time differences in the following cases:

    K-1 application (NOA1) to Approval (NOA2)

    K-1 application (NOA1) to RFE

what I'm trying to figure out is would an RFE come sooner or later than an approval if it makes sense.

    thanks!!!

    1. Greenbaum

      Greenbaum

That is for all other visas' except K-1's.

In both of your cases they both reach the adjudicator at the same time as they have the responsibility to review ALL the information in determining that every item is there and there are no red flags. Once a RF is found then case is Denied or RFE is issued for additional information. Usually if s RFE is asked for then the case is good to go if the RFE is returned matching the requirements need for an approval.

      I hope that makes sense.

  11. Hey my good friend how are you and how's the family? Are they back yet from the Phil yet? Well anyway hope all is good and ready for some football and a fiancee to come over here in about 3 weeks!! Best time of the year for me my friend. Hey just had a couple of quick questions on the adjustment of status. We are planning a October wedding here in Vegas so just wanted to know do you have to do the adjustment of status right away? I'm thinking of early next year in February when I can reload on my finances here and you know the deal with the holidays approaching time to be broke again!! Not to mention an addition to the family Maria. The other thing is when can Maria file for a EAD work permit? Yeah I know more forms and fees$$$$$ as usual. I think after we get married will be the best time for that and her ss card. By the way what's up with that marijuana post? Was that guy on pot or was it a medical mariajuana ? A lot of medical marijuana dispensaries here in Vegas. Okay well just checking in with a few questions and to say hello so have an outstanding day and as always take care of the family my friend!!

My wife is still in the PI for another week. Will return Saturday. She is have so much fun and getting to "bond" with her family again. Special guest is there too in that her brother, who she hasn't seen in 19 years, flew in from UAE for a week. So that's really special for her.

No you don't have to adjust but what happens is she is now "out of status" and could have a run in with ICE if the want to make a bid deal of this. If you file then it's not a big deal. You have to adjust the status to take advantage of the other two process. One is free if you do it with the I-495. Follow my website for details.

That couple who went out and smoked weed are stupid. Why would do something to have reflect on one of the most important times in your life. If they admit they will face a year suspension and have to attend classes (I don't know all the details on that step) and if they successfully complete it then they can reapply. If they don't fess up then they could face a 10 year band.

Have your self a great time. Hope all is well with you and the miss's.

  13. Hey there my friend, quick question, on the DS160 visa application does my fiancee have to up load her photo or is it done before her interview? Kinda confusing because I'm seeing that it's no longer required and she can get it done at  the Application Service center. So not sure which is . Anyway thanks!!!

It does sound like you are busy and taking the conservative approach this time around. My wife is from Ozamiz City. We are going back there to visit in Aug. for 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to it. I love the Philippines and all that it offers.

Part of the process for completing the DS-160 is uploading a photo. I believe it will not let you submit the DS-160 without a photo. I am not at all sure about the submission qualifications.

Here are two links with step by step instructions that may help you.

  16. Thank you. My fiancé did the DS160 herself already and submitted it from Davao. Now I am trying to set the interview and the form is asking for a Priority Date? Don't know what that is. Also asking for an address, but we want to get the visa in manila as she isn't planning on going back to Davao. Shes flying to Manila on Tuesday.

The priority date It's the 'received date' on the NOA1. After the interview She can change the delivery to the MOA. Just inform the CO. If that doesn't work there is a check out desk she'll go to after the interview. If that fails she can change it online within 24 hours if the interview.

  17. Hi – I have read a number of your posts and seems you are very knowledgeable with the process. My finance had the medical and they see an abnormality on the X-ray (seems to happen to many?) anyway she goes back Nov 27-29 for the culture. I had already made arrangements to be there at the interview scheduled on Dec 1. Should we still try to make the interview even with the medical incomplete? I have read conflicting posts if they will even do the interview? Thanks in advance … Rik

    1. Greenbaum

      Greenbaum

There has been a change at USEM and the new procedure is you must complete the medical before the interview. Best thing is to cancel your appoint till such time you have worked through everything medical related. I wish you guys luck.
