You need not worry about CSPA or you being 21. You are safe. You just have to answer their questions like who the petitioner is, your relationship with him/her, what does she do (work), etc. Then they may ask for pictures of you and the petitioner (if it's your dad or mom). Goodluck.

I had my interview this morning at about 11AM and I passed it. The ISO was a strict and straightforward Caucasian. After letting me in his room, he told me which chair to sit and where to place my stuff (docs). He asked for my IDs including the GC then started asking me the Civic Questions (What Ocean is on the West of US, Whats the title of the National Anthem, What is the rule of Law, the age to vote, etc.) and made me read a sentence (which was in a form of a question), and write the answer on a piece of paper. He went over the docs on file, which took 5 minutes i guess, asked confirmatory questions which was the interview portion, then signed various papers. After almost 15 minutes, he told me that I passed and congratulated me then handing to me the Interview Result form and Oath-taking procedure which he said I have to bring. After all these process, he led me out of the door and photocopied my IDs,

Now, its time to wait for the Oath-taking ceremony. I checked on LACC's website and the next sked would be on July 20 and I hope I will be on or included on that ceremony.
Good luck to those who are about to have their interview or still waiting for the I/L!

Never buy a ticket unless you have the visa already or its on its way to be delivered to you. You will never know what the outcome of your interview will be.

During the whole duration of the process, from AOS to N-400 which Im applying for now, I only sent the first statement then 3 random statements per year (usually Jan-July or Aug-Nov or Dec), and the latest 3 statements and so far had no issues nor was questioned about it. It was still bulky but not as much if I send all the statements.

Just be honest about everything particularly on that sad experience you had due to Hurricane Sandy. They were maybe just wondering that there was no copy of GC presented and marriage license which are important requirements/proofs. ( You can actually get a copy of your ML online)

Goodluck anyway and wishing that your case will be approved. Keep us posted.

Wow! With your admission of taking drugs before and just recently, your alibi taking the medicine by mistake seems unbelievable or unconvincing now to the doctor. Your world is getting dimmer man! I guess you should have started asking for legal opinions or help from an expert immigration lawyer. I hope you will can still or be able to come out of that gloomy situation you are in (and I hope your wife will still stand by you or will keep hangin on.) Goodluck!

I'm actually more impressed with your patience and your compassion than say bad words against your husband, although there are more than one negative word befitting him. You deserve a better life than being with him. You can focus your energy and attention that would bring more happiness to you that putting up with his antics. We can tell you different stuff but it's still your decision, it's your life after all.
PS - can't help it though, divorce and send him back home ASAP! LOL

Funny i just checked CEAC and same thing happened (APPLICATION ERROR) so I investigated what the reason must be (to dispel any fear in my thought). I just replied to a different thread here thanking for the infor he shared - that CEAC is undergoing maintenance from Feb 14 to 15. So relax and dont be scared like me! LOL

I hope with this, the officials will know now what should be prioritized or would do something to address this issue. Im ok with five months but for 15 months, that is just too much.

Did you get an email from NVC similar to this?
    ----------------
The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing
of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner
and attorney (if applicable) will be notified.
    --------------------
I got that email on 12/18. On 12/27 I got the interview letter.
I did not check the status online prior to receiving the IL. Today the status says:
    --------------------
Your case is ready for your interview when scheduled at the U.S. Consular section. If you have already scheduled an appointment for an interview, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have received interview scheduling instructions.
    ----------------
Maybe your case is different. Call NVC again and ask them about the interview date or clarification.

We got an appointment letter via email. Usually they will send an appointment letter at least 1 month before the interview. Wait a few days and if there is no email call the NVC. Don't need an appointment for medical/physical exams at St Luke but they advise to register online.

aurpol got a reaction from MO-MO1974 in NOW THIS IS VERY CONFUSING
Sorry, I didnt read much of the comments or post before me but I can relate to your situation and would give you a positive statements.

I overstayed my visa for five years, divorced my wife in june 2012, married my US Citizen wife August 2012, processed my papers (Adjustment of Status or AOS - dont get confused with the other AOS) December 2012, and was interviewed (us both) on April 2013 (approved on the spot and got my greencard a week after.)

Just file I-485 (which is approved or processed faster) and I-130. Just ready all your docs, proofs, and all relevant papers you can use to prove that your marriage is legit. Mine is legit and we showed them bunch of proofs. The interviewer would ask questions from those docs or proofs, and even silly questions that would put you on awkward position.

    Goodluck.
