Hi Robinhood, I Just called USCIS 1 hour ago. They told me if I want I can leave the # so they can call me back. I did leave my # and they call me back after about 50 min. At first the guy told me my file is at NBC, but after he check it carefully, he told me that my file was send to the Local Field Office in February 11, 2013. So, I think it's at Newark, NJ. Hopefully, we will soon hear from them.

So, today morning I received an E-mail from my Lawyer saying I should expect an approval today. He went to meet IO to handover my RFE yesterday and was told by IO that he will approve my petition today. I took the same Lawyer for my Green Card interview few years back and I saw him talking with IO's, so kinda had an idea that he knows people inside. Had I asked him to meet the IO earlier, I would have been approved long back, but hey I am happy that finally approved.

So around 5:PM I received an email that Case is approved.

Thx yeah they definitely don't know what they r talking about....I was on hold for 2.5 hours for tier 2 officer and got disconnected...my husband will get interview from Delhi consulate? What about u?

You have been waiting for more than 7 months now. You should immediately send an email to your Congressman. They are the right people to get accurate information. So try to contact congressman office b4 you visit field office.

For my case, congressman send an email to Newark local office and right next day. So, they have to provide right information to congressman.

My wife petition was approved on march 1st. I have waiting for newark people to send my petition to Nvc. I made an appointment in newark 2 weeks ago. Officer told me that my case is approved but they send approved applications together when some kind box fills up. I dont know myself its over 2 months

Ok understood but there are 2 cases which were approved in mid April and they are already through half stage of NVC, so I am not understanding why would IO tell you something which is not true. I suggest you go ahead with another Info Pass, ask for i130 floor supervisor and explain and try to see whats going on. You should immediately contact your congressman and ask them to inquire, they will surely get the right answer for you. If you go to Newark, try to talk to "TIM", young guy in 20's. He is one of few nice IO's there who will provide right information for you, but I am sure congressman will get you right information.

My wife's approved petition which I filed last october 2012, is at local office in Newark, NJ since march 1st 2013. I made an appointment with the office. According to them they are waiting for a box of application to be filled then they will send it to NVC. Anybody who had same experience please share. Thanks

I am bit confuse here. Your case was approved on March 1st but still it is at Newark? There are 2 cases from Newark which were approved in mid April and they are already received by NVC.

Probably they have certified their approval and sent back to VSC for final approval notice to be sent to you. Why don't you go to NYC local office and find out. Was your case first filed at VSC?

Hey I have appt for may 22 for NYC filed office. I hope they can still help me since they no longer have my file. But i don't understand why it was transferred to Vermont? Yeah I did file at Vermont then was transferred to Missouri and then in October my file has been in NYC field office. But I don't think it's at Vermont because after speaking to the Iso officer yesterday my status changed again and now states my file is in my local office. My local office should be holttsville NY not NYC field office. I am on the phone with customer device again to find out where this application is now.

Looks like people on the phone are big fat liars. You should not believe what they say. If you call 5 times then you are likely to get 5 different answers. It happened to me and to many others. I was told in march that my file is still at NBC but after personally visiting Local office, I was told that the local office got my file on Jan 9. So the people who told me in march that NBC has my life were just playing with me. I am telling you these people are hired because they are best liars. I hope you get your NOA 2 soon.

Guys! Anyone heard of any approval recently! I'm a Decemeber i130 filer too and have had no response since the NOA1 I got mid december. My wife called USCIS and they told that my file was probably at the Newark Office. that's pretty much it, thats all information I have. Any ideas how long this wait is gonna be.

My file is at Newark and I am still waiting. 2 cases I know got approved in past 10 days from Newark, both cases had same NOA 1 date (10/02/2012) and got an RFE in early march. So I am guessing that after an RFE cases takes month or so to get NOA2. Early last week I contacted my congressman who contacted Newark office and after 2 days I received an RFE which does not make sense. They want me to resubmit my G325A which I did. So I am guessing if you have your congressman inquire, they may move fast. Also, I suggest you visit Newark office with an infopass.

We got ours in 5 months. 2 days after I called USCIS and told me not to call after 9months. I'm sure yours will come in matter of days.

9 months???? Bunch of lies from USCIS. You should immediately contact your congressman and start pushing things. I went to my congressman office on last Thursday, on Friday USCIS sent me letter asking to resubmit form G-325A again. You should also visit your local office. I went there twice and it was helpful.

I got an RFE today to submit a properly completed and signed Form G-325A.

I have to resubmit the same form as the one I submitted was correct but I am not sure why they have issued an RFE for the one I properly filled, red 15times by 3 different people. Local offices are trying to set up a NEW NORMAL timeline of 6 to 7 months.

Seriously USCIS has pass all those lines. I hate to say that but I hate the agency more than anything right now. I mean how can she even talk about K3? Why would they try to mislead people? We haven't done anything but try to do the right thing right way unlike illegals who are currently getting VIP treatment for doing illegal things, some of them bought ID's, driving licenses, SS numbers, fake marriages, illegal border crossing, Working illegally, did not pay tax and so on but still government is encouraging them to keep doing that.

I have been waiting since 5 months and found that USCIS IO's are full of lie. Big fat liars are sitting there. I feel they must be getting hired for being Liars.

I know it's just the beginning but it feels great to have got our NOA email within a week of sending out the I-130 Package. Is that what it normally takes or are we on a good start?

Received an email today at 5:45pm stating that we have been approved!!!!

"On April 25, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN."

Must have read it at least 10 times to make sure it was for real, almost hard to believe that it's true, so HAPPY!

WRITE YOUR SENATORS - IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!!

I wrote a letter to CA US Senator Barbara Boxer's office that I sent on April 6. Called the office the following Wednesday to confirm that they had received it (which they had). The following week after that I got a voice mail from a Constituent Representative at Barbara Boxer’s Bay Area Office (on 4/17). I was out of town at the time and called back this week (yesterday). The representative told me the following:

The Representative had called the USCIS last week and was informed that a Case Officer was currently working on our petition and that we should receive notice of adjudication within the next month (by mid-May). The USCIS representative furthermore stated that the RFE we were notified about on January 16 had been automatically generated when the Case Officer added a note/comment to the file regarding an additional review, meaning that we might not need to submit additional evidence (an RFE might not be needed or sent out at all) since the comment could also just be an indication of the additional time needed to review our case.

Turns out a there was no RFE for us after all, hope that makes a difference for some of you waiting for an RFE.
